Alro climbed up the mast and sat next to her on the beam. Sighing with a hint of annoyance, he looked off towards Jerome. "He's just out there near the sirens again, communicating with them." Jerome hadn't paid any mind at all to the two on the ship watching him. Putting his hand out towards the water, a golden and silvery fish scaled hand that gleamed gorgeously in the sun stuck out of the water and grasped his hand. At that moment he started to sing a beautiful song, which was joined in by a few women's voices.

@gracehustle

"Why?" She asked, looking over at Alro and then glancing back at Jerome. Communicating with sirens was something she had never heard someone do, though she was curious. When he started singing she was shocked, going silent and just listening to the faint singing she heard. "Does he do this all the time?" She pointed to the captain and looked over at Alro again.

Alro nodded, "It's a time to time thing. Lemony hates when he goes out there, says it's a blasted waste of Jerome's talented voice to be shared with those creatures." Jerome and the few sirens near were all singing in a perfect melody together, in sync. Shrugging Alro watched them, "He does this whenever he has something on his mind or when he wants to pass time. The sirens just comply in song with him."

@gracehustle

She nodded and watched the sirens around him carefully, "He has a beautiful voice, I'll agree with Lemony on that." She shook her head, "I think that he should be able to sing with the sirens if he wants to though and he's doing just that." His singing was absolutely amazing and Reva loved it. Her voice wasn't terrible but it was nowhere near Jeromes voice, hers was more suited to yelling orders at the top of her lungs all day and threatening people.

Alro nodded contently, "He really does, sometimes whenever a crewmate on board falls ill, Jerome will sing for them to cheer them up into getting better." By then most of the crew had winded down and sat on the side of the ship, listening to Jerome and the sirens voices singing their little melody. Everyone seemed so calm, even Lemony despite some complains of Jerome singing with those 'creatures'. Seeming to be aware of everyone listening, Jerome just kept on singing with the sirens. Two sirens holding onto his hands just simply singing of their sorrows together.

@gracehustle

She nodded again in answer before looking out over the sea again. Reva leaned back on the beam as best she could, swinging her legs and listening to Jerome's singing silently. The crew seemed to be quieter now and she glanced down at them for a second, chuckling lightly when she saw all of them on the edge of she ship listening to Jerome sing.

(Sorry I didn't answer I was at a place with no internet)
The singing flowed through the air mixing with the calming waves of the sea. It almost seemed like everything was at peace once Jerome and the sirens had started singing. More sirens surfaced and joined in the chorus with Jerome and the few that were already there. There was one siren in particular that matched Jerome more in looks and voice than any of the other sirens. Alro quietly whispered, "Oh, its her again."

@gracehustle

(It's alright)
"Is that his sister?" She whispered to Alro, looking at the newest siren curiously. They looked quite similar but she wanted to make sure that it was his sister. The singing was beautiful though in all honesty she was fairly certain she liked it better when it was just Jerome and the first few sirens singing.

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

"Yeah." Alro whispered back, a little tense. "Whenever he is singing this beautifully with other sirens she will surface on occasion, though me and the crew would pretty much rather she didn't. I guess maybe its because the first few sirens who were here first actually cared for Jerome once unlike her." Jerome had now directed his line of vision towards his sister, but merely kept on singing.

@gracehustle

Reva nodded and focused on the siren, watching the captain and his sister, "How long does he usually sing for?" She asked, shifting around. As the singing continued she was getting slightly bored, not used to sitting still for that long. She started humming softly, trying to match their tune as best she could to give herself something to do.

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

Alro as if put in a trance, jerked a little like he was snapping back to reality from a nice dream. "Not this long usually, it's actually kind of different, the way he is singing right now. Why didn't I notice it?" A lot of the sirens seemed to have noticed it to, looking at him strangely like he had done a terrible crime. Jerome stopped singing a smiled at the sirens, whispering something to them before he started to row back to the ship.

@gracehustle

"He was singing differently than normal?" She watched him start to row back to the ship and she glanced at Alro, "I'm going to head back down, you staying up here?" Reva stood up on the beam and walked carefully to the main mast, not waiting for his answer before climbing back down the mast carefully. She was still humming slightly as she climbed, doing her best to match her voice to the ones that he and the sirens had been singing while trying to figure out why he went out and sang.

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

"The tone and emotion was different this time." Alro said just loud enough for Reva to hear. He remained up on the beam as he watched Jerome row back to the ship. Many of the crewmates wore grins on their faces as they pulled up Jerome's row boat onto the ship. Jerome hopped onto the deck smiling. Some applauded Jerome and others complemented his voice. Chuckling he waved them off as if they were complementing no talent, and he walked across the deck.

@gracehustle

Reva leaned against the mast and watched him, "Nice voice," she said simply, crossing her arms and nodding. The thought that his sister was a siren crossed her mind but she pushed the thought away, putting a slightly impressed smirk on her face, "Do you sing often?" She already knew the answer thanks to Alro but she didn't add that part on, wanting to see what his answer was.

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

Jerome nodded with a slight grin, "Thanks, and yeah I usually do." He pulled up a little stool that was next the the mast and sat on it, "It helps me clear my mind when I have a lot going on with myself." He said in a almost tired voice. Looking back towards the sea, he looked right at the first few sirens who had started singing with him before, his sister in view as well. They were all looking at him specifically with looks of sorrow in their eyes. His sister, with disdain in hers.

@gracehustle

"Why are they watching you?" She asked, following his gaze to the sirens and watching them carefully. Her foot bounced up and down and she looked back at Jerome, still bored from sitting for so long and wanting to be up and moving but still talking to him.
(Sry it's short)

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

Jerome shrugged and looked at Reva. "I guess that's what they do when they see the person they cared for deeply. It just sticks with them somehow." Some of the crewmates watched and observed the sirens, like they thought they would never be able to see the sirens again. Alro had sat over the side of the ship while making eye contact with one of the sirens in particular.
(Its fine, mine is too)

@gracehustle

Reva nodded and looked out at them, her gaze landing on Alro for a moment, "Why is he looking out at them? Is there someone he knew out there?" Her head tilted to the side slightly in curiosity and she walked towards the edge of the ship, not waiting for the captain or his answer. He could follow her if he had an answer. The sirens were very interesting to her and she wished she could talk to them, figure out their stories and just talk to them without being killed and eaten.

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

Jerome shrugged and followed up behind her since he really didn't have anything better to do. Looking over to the side of the ship he watched the sirens carefully. "One of those sirens happens to have been one of his old friends." He said in a knowing voice, pointing to one siren in particular. Whistling a little song, he was soon joined in by the quiet voices of whatever sirens were near. When he stopped whistling, they stopped singing, it was like a little loop of first him singing then them.

@gracehustle

"You and them obviously have sung together more than a few times," She said, smiling lightly at the sirens and watching them. living in the sea and swimming around was quite fascinating to her and she started daydreaming, her mind wandering and wondering what their lives were like. "Remind me when we reach land to research sirens," She said to the captain, still half daydreaming.

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

"Many many more than a few times, we have sung together even before when they were still human." A almost guilty look crossed his face when he finished that sentence. He looked at Reva, noticing how she seemed to be daydreaming, he shook his head. There was no particular reason he shook his head, well except for what he thought of her 'Daydreaming'. "If I were you I wouldn't daydream of sirens."

@gracehustle

She raised an eyebrow and glanced over at him, snapping back to reality, "And why shouldn't I? They're interesting, plus it gives me something to do with all my free time in this next week." Reva looked back at the creatures, "I'm curious of what people have discovered about them, why are their voices beautiful? Is that how they sounded when they were humans? There are several questions I want answered." She stood up straight and stretched, looking towards the captain's cabin and remembering with a smile that she had earned a few nights sleep alone in there.

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

Jerome chuckled, a chuckle that sounded more mocking then anything. "And why should you exactly? Because they have beautiful voices? Because of their simple lives before turned different? He looked her dead in the eyes, with a sort of grim look, "Here i'll tell you why. Those women have such beautiful voices because they were meant for luring unsuspecting men into the depths of the sea. Those women gave into the seas from broken hearts, never to ever return to land again. How could that be interesting? They're damned to the sea now." He said with a huff.

@gracehustle

"You obviously don't see the mystery of any of them." She scowled at him, "Plus, it give me something to do. I don't see you lazing around all day doing nothing. I have a full week that I don't have to work, so, I'm not going to. Studying them and learning about all the secrets and mysteries of their kind gives me something to think about." Reva glanced at the sirens again and leaned back against the edge of the ship, ready to ignore whatever argument Jerome was going to try next.

@Elliott-isnt-dead! group

Jerome cracked his neck, showing a sign of annoyance. Usually he wasn't easy to annoy, but this girl could definitely do it, making him wonder how he had feelings for her. Alro from far away had started listening in on the conversation, as did a few other crewmates. They all seemed to be awaiting his counter argument. He sighed, "I wonder how you would feel to have your heart broken from what seems completely to be unrepairable, only to have someone study you. Not only because you gave yourself to the sea for some blasted reason, but because you are now some sort of 'Mysterious' thing." Shaking his head he walked off towards John and Lemony.
