"True." Connor replied, still flipping through the sketchbook.
"True." Connor replied, still flipping through the sketchbook.
Wilhelm watched him flip through the pages, wondering if he was looking for something in particular. It wasn’t his business, though, so he decided not to ask.
Connor kept going. He was just looking back at his previous work, and he hummed softly as he did.
Wilhelm listened to Connor hum as he read, even bobbing his head along every now and then.
Connor kept humming and paging through. He enjoyed paging through, because he liked seeing how his work had progressed.
Wilhelm rubbed his eyes, taking a tiny break from the small lettering on the page. His fingers drummed on the book’s spine as he returned to reading.
Connor finally reached a blank page, and started to sketch again, drawing with very light, faint lines. He was still humming.
Wilhelm checked his watch. He blinked tiredness from his eyes, trying to stay awake in the nearly silent room.
Connor had, without really thinking about it, begun to draw Wilhelm, pencil tracing the curve of the other male's body, the shoulders and jawline and wild, dark curls.
Wilhelm stretched, rubbing the nape of his neck. He turned to look out the window, the chirps of a robin breaking his concentration.
Connor kept sketching, sucking his lower lip into his mouth as he worked.
Wilhelm looked over at Connor, head tilted just a bit. “What are you drawing?”
Connor looked up, and blushed a little bit. "Oh. Uhm. Ah may have, er…started ta draw yeh." He replied, embarrassed.
“Oh-“ Wilhelm was a little taken aback, to say the least. He raised his eyebrows a bit, feeling a blush creep into his own cheeks as well.
"Sorry…" Connor trailed off, biting his lip a little bit. "Yer just…yeh have a good…face." he finally mumbled, blushing more. "Fer drawin'. Uhm."
Wilhelm chuckled a bit, a smile slipping onto his face. “I have a good face?” He ran a hand through his hair. He was still blushing quite a bit, although his heart was no longer racing.
(I'll probably only be on for about 20 more minutes, sorry)
Connor ducked his head, blushing and embarrassed. "Uhm. Yes?" he said slowly. "Fer drawin'. Yeh've go'…angles…" he finished, covering his face with a hand.
(no problem, thanks for the heads up!)
Wilhelm nodded knowingly. “They always did that those were my best features.. my angles.” He teased, his voice faux-prim and proper. “You don’t need to be embarrassed, though. If I were an artist, I’d draw you as well- no, that’s not what I meant. Slip of the tongue.” Wilhelm tacked on quickly, his face quickly turning beet red.
(You're welcome!)
Connor let out a soft laugh at that. He peeked over at Wilhelm, his face still blushing and red and embarrassed. "Then wha' did yeh mean?" he asked curiously, voice soft and a little hesitant.
“I’m not sure. Maybe you’ve got angles too.” Wilhelm laughed a bit at his tiny joke, though there was the tiniest tremor in his hands as he placed his book facedown in his lap.
Connor chuckled. "Mm. Just a little bit." he replied, shrugging his shoulders as he peeked over at Wilhelm.
Wilhelm took a small, quiet breath, focusing on steadying his hands before saying anything else. His eyes darted out the window as he tried to rationalize his thoughts. Just because someone draws you a few times and compliments your appearance doesn’t mean that they’re interested. Get over yourself. Wilhelm mentally scolded himself, his face still flushed pink.
Connor sighed softly, trying to steady himself. His face was still pink, and he ran a hand through his curls, trying to calm himself down.
Wilhelm eventually gave up trying to calm the small shaking of his hands, instead electing to duck his face into them, taking another quiet breath. His eyes wandered over to Connor after what felt like years (but in reality was only a few moments), only sending another wave of red collapsing over his cheeks.
(gtg for real now)
Connor glanced over at Wilhelm as well, blushing harder when he met the other boy's eyes. He ducked his head away.
