“Yeah. Born in the US, but mostly raised here,” Addie nodded, taking a sip of her coffee. She set down her cup and looked quizzically at Archer. “You?”

"Ah. I was born and raised here," Archer explained. "I don't believe I've ever seen you around before, though."

“No, I just recently came to this neighborhood for vacation,” Addie agreed. “I was in (I’m assuming they’re in Paris now so) Chalons-en-Champagne for a while.”

(I mean, I was thinking she'd just be on, like, a trip to France or something, but that's cool, too.
Yeah, just a little cafe on the edge of the city.)

Archer smiled warmly. "That's a lovely place to live. I actually live in (Googles cities in France…) Ivry-sur-Seine, about eight kilometers from here. I've got a small appartement near the centre of the city."

Ok. I can change it if you want… the trip idea would have more angst, because then she could be all, “I have to go.” And like angst

“Ooh, my mum always wanted to visit there. I hear it’s so pretty in the fall,” Addie exclaimed, clapping her hands together. (Casually makes up stuff about a place I’ve never heard of…)

(Dude, I totally didn't even think about that! That would be great.)

"It is quite lovely," Archer agreed with a nod. "It's beautiful in the spring, as well."

Ok, I’ll edit it to say that she’s there for the summer (???) and um yeah. Her mum will now have always wanted to visit :P

Addie nodded. “My itinerary stays in this area, but I’d be so excited to see more of France someday.”

"Maybe I could show you around?" Archer offered, giving her a wide smile. "Give you the detailed tour, rather than the basic one. Like a backstage pass, if you will."

“Sounds great,” Addie nodded, gripping her coffee cup in both hands again. “But I’m going to need your number so that I can contact you.” She smiled.

(Ugh, History is so boring.)

Archer smirked. "Bien sûr. Do you have a phone I could put it in?"

Addie nodded and took her phone out of her purse. “Here.” She handed it to him. “And please do not be one of those people who puts in a trick number, or their mum’s number, or something.”

"Never! Why would I do that?" Archer said, almost looking offended as he typed his number in. He handed the phone back to Addie when he was done.

“Thanks,” Addie nodded, taking her phone and putting it back in her purse. She stood up to go. “I’ll text you later, I have to catch a tour of the (French place idk.)”

(Eiffel Tower, Palace of Versailles, idk…)

"I will see you later then, Miss Addie," Archer said with a smile and a wink. He finished up his croissant and started sipping on his coffee.

“See you,” Addie agreed, walking out of the cafe. She was excited for her tour of (French place,) but a part of her wanted to stay….

Archer sighed as he watched her walk away. Man, he really hoped she would text him. She was super cute, and he honestly hoped to get to know her better.

Addie’s tour of the (French place) was super interesting, but her mind kept wandering back to Archer. A few minutes after the tour had ended, she took out her phone and began a new text message to the number he’d given her.

A: Hey, this is Addie. I just finished the tour of (French place). I’m currently at Cafe le Chat (because cats man) on 7th Street. (who cares if that exists or not, amirite? :P)

(I just realized both of their names start with 'A'…
Lol, yeah. But cats, man! XD)

Archer was walking to his apartment when he received a text from an unknown number. Wondering if it was Addie, he opened it. With a smile, he noticed that it was, indeed, the girl from earlier.

ARCHER: Wonderful place to eat! Do you want to meet up sometime for that tour?

Addie couldn’t help but smile at Archer’s immediate response. She typed back an answer right after she got a coffee.

ADDIE: That’s was I was thinking :) Are you free this afternoon? (?)
