“Well..that just means I’ll have to go with you to pick up the best seeds.” He glanced off to the side. On one hand, he’d always wanted nothing more than to stay home and be unnoticed. In the other hand, this was a chance to spend more time with his new friend and crush. “Or we could go to the produce section and get fresh vegetable seeds from there.”
She glanced up "realy? You don't have to if you don't want to. I wouldn't want to spoil any of your plans." Ro said, walking back over to the fence
He looked over to her face, “Yeah, that’s fine. I haven’t been out in so long…it’ll be nice.” He smiled, “As long as I have time to get ready.”
Ro nodded "go ahead, I'll wait outside by the front." She said, stepping back and heading for the door
“I’ll see you then.” He grinned, leaning on his crutch to limp inside and get properly dressed to go out into public. How long had it been? A week? He snorted through his nose, recalling his cleaning service poking fun at him for never leaving the house.
To smiled and heading inside to change into leggings and a t shirt. She grabbed a wallet and her phone among with a purple scarf she always liked to wear and headed out, she waited by the fence for Matt to come out
Matt stood on his front porch, locking his door with one hand. He wore jeans this time and a collared sweater. He’d rolled up his left pant leg so that the excess fabric wouldn’t just limply hang or swing as he walked.
Ro pulled her hair back into a ponytail, leaving her bangs flying loose. She glanced up at Matt and smiled softly "ready to go?"
Matt turned around after locking the door, “Yup.” He smiled, descending down his couple of stairs, “Which store are we going to?”
She walked next to him and thought for a moment "theres this little convenience store a few blocks from here that I get my flowers from. I' don't know if they have Vegetables, but it couldn't hurt to look." She glanced up at the sky "A little late madame don't you think?" she asked the rainbow in the sky
“It’s possible they might..” he pondered for a second, “We van always check. And if not, I’ve been told there’s a gardening store somewhere near here.”
"we can check all three if you'd like." She suggested "unless that'd be too much?"
“No, that wouldn’t be too much.” He dismissed, “As long as not too many people ask about my leg.” He chuckled.
"mess around with them a bit, we could just ask 'what missing leg?' and then pretend like we don't know about anything they're talking about. Freak them out a bit." She laughed softly "have fun with it a bit,"
“Haha!! Yes, let’s do that.” He humored, “But you go and I’ll follow your lead.” He humored, “I’m not good at sarcasm or social interaction in general.”
"whhaaaaa~ you're great at it, social interaction I mean. You just talked to the weirdest person in this town without questioning my sanity once." She said with a grin "not may people can say they've done that. As for the sarcasm, we'll see, I'm sure you have some form of humor that derives from a dramatic amount of angering the heck out of a person."
Matt shrugged, “Well, that’s because it was in my house and with just you…with other people it’s a bit, Ah…harder.” He grinned, “And you seem pretty normal to me…you have both legs.” He humored.
She laughed and nodded "true, but I'm fairly certain you're better at social interaction . You did throw a paper bird over my fence."
“Hah! That was out of desperation because I was freaking myself out at the thought of actually talking to you..that was a last resort.” He laughed, “I thought you were just going to throw it away.”
Ro shook her head "lucky for you, I didn't. Why would you be nervous about talking to me? I get that I'm not normal but there's no reason you should be nervous."
Matt laughed, “It wasn’t you specifically, I guess…I guess it kind of was..” he scratched his lip nervously.
To laughed "aw, is this your first time talking to a girl? Don't worry, it's like talking to anyone else." She laughed again "I hope I didn't make you too uncomfortable…"
“No!” He laughed, “I’m nervous talking to everyone, I just…really like you.” He glanced away, face flushing.
Ro glanced up at him and blushed "and you're nervousness of pushing me away?" She asked softly, "it's going to take a lot for me to to leave a person I've become attached to." She reasured, placing a gently hand in his shoulder
Matt smiled even more, “I just get nervous a lot..it’s okay..but thank you that…that means a lot.”
