Kalon bounded through the marketplace, greeting everyone he saw and looking around at everything curiously. They loved to come out here and interact with others, even if it might not be the safest place for him. Although he was only a minor god compared to some that would shake the very foundations of the universe if something were to happen to them, his job was still an important and essential one. They glided to and fro, occasionally buying some shiny object that caught their eye. Of course, the majority of people did like him, but that didn't mean that there weren't dangerous people who thirsted for anarchy, and who might be willing to hurt or kill him to get it.

Phoebe was sent into a quick panic as she couldn't find kalon in the market place, she went around asking all the vendors if they had seen someone of his description and then quickly going somewhere they had pointed out for her. She ran up to him from behind and squeezed him in a hug.
"There you are! I was so worried I wouldn't know what to do with myself if you had gotten hurt, killed even!"
She was crying bc she was in an intense fit of panic.

"Ah, compose yourself, dear Phoebe!" Kalon insisted with a bright smile, taking her face gently from either side with his hands. "I'm perfectly alright, I assure you. I wouldn't be so careless as to get myself killed. I'm quite difficult to kill anyway." They ruffled her hair and let her go. "You worry so much about me, Phoebe. Have you heard of conspirators or something?" He asked, tilting his head to the side a bit in questioning.

She sniffles, trying to stop her tears as he spoke to her. Her face rested in his hands as her tears hit his palm, and she moved to wipe her tears away.
"I'm just glad your alright." She spoke with a soft sniffle, tho she seemed to be calming down. She let him ruffle her hair before she moved to wipe her face once again and offered him a soft smile.
"Please don't leave my side again." She spoke softly, staring at him after her tears stopped falling. She looked at him as he asked her that question, "I did hear of some rumors that someone was planning something against you and I got worried…"

Kalon gently brushed away Phoebe's tears with his thumb and hummed softly, looking around in their general area. "I'll try and keep close, Phoebe. I don't mean to scare you." They spotted a flower bush nearby and plucked a flower from it, which he then tucked behind Phoebe's ear. "Don't worry yourself so much. I'll be alright, yeah?" He offered her a gentle smile, the tips of his wings fluttering. "I know I've got nothing to worry about as long as you're around."

She pulled him in for one more hug just for good measure before letting go of him and straightening out his clothes. She felt the flower being tucked gently above her ear and she couldn't help but smile as she looked down at him, seeing his wings flutter.
"I would never allow anything to happen to you, I care about you too much for that to happen." She smiled softly at him.

Kalon smiled brightly and took Phoebe by the arm so he could drag her around town. "This place is great. You've gotta let me come out to the town more often!" They insisted. "I love looking around, and everyone is so nice." He hummed thoughtfully as he looked around. "And if you give them money, they give you cool things! Look at these things I got!" They pulled a little glass frog out of a bag, as well as a glass rose, which he held out to Phoebe. "For you! I thought you'd like it since he said this one won't die like normal flowers."

She smiled as they hooked arms and she got dragged around by kalon, though she didn't mind at all.
"Maybe…but you have to promise me not to run off on your own and not come down here without me."
She let him drag her around after saying her own piece, his joy making her smile brightly and laugh a little bit.
She saw the glass rose and let out a little bit of a gasp,
"kalon, that Is a very beautiful piece of art. Are you sure you want to give it to me?"

"Alright, if you insist. I'll wait for you if I'm going to town." Kalon smiled again, the stars around his head twinkling. "Of course I want you to have it! I got it for you!" They insisted, their wings fluttering again. "The man says he makes them himself. Isn't that amazing? These merchants are so talented." He looked around in awe and wonder, his face still sunny with joy. They seemed to be glowing more brightly than usual.

She exhaled,
"thank you, now I won't have to worry about you getting into any danger. Since I will be by your side."
She spoke with great confidence as she said this, confident she was able to protect him.
She laughed softly, taking the glass rose. "It's very beautiful, I'm sure the craftsmen that made it worked very hard and is very talented in his works." She looked at the glass rose, and tucked it softly away in her satchel that lay against her hip.
"Your looking very beautiful in this sunlight if I may say so." She smiled brightly at him. Basking in the sun.

"Ah?" Kalon looked over to Phoebe at the compliment and flushed. They chuckled nervously after a moment and rubbed the back of their neck with one hand. "Oh! Um… t-thank you! You look nice as well." He replied. Although he seemed flustered, the fact that they had begun to glow even more brightly betrayed that he was pleased with the compliment. He wasn't used to personal compliments, but they liked them nonetheless.

She felt her cheeks warm just a little bit at the sight of kalon blushing, it took her a moment before she registered his compliment.
"O-oh! Thank you Kalon.'' She nodded, seeing how he glowed even brighter. She gave our a soft chuckle, enjoying the time out with him.
"We can spend a little while longer out here if you like, whatever you would like to do.'

"R-Right… it's a lovely day, and it's not dark yet, so we've got plenty of time before I need to be back." Kalon cleared his throat and looked around, the ring of tiny stars around his head spinning idly whenever he turned. He didn't need to eat as an immortal, which did help with their duties, but they did still enjoy doing such things from time to time. He did, however, get fatigued in the morning after working with the stars all night and would typically crash for an hour or two to replenish his energy, such evidently was a sufficient amount for them.

She nodded, "plenty of time to spend together out here.' She realized how that might sound and tried to correct it "together but not together together." She smiled at him chuckling awkwardly. She walked with him through the market letting him buy whatever he wanted and making sure no one was thinking of trying anything while she was there. She wouldn't ever let any one have the chance to harm him. She also made sure her glass Rose he had bought her wasn't going to get broken into pieces. That was important as well. It was a very kind gesture of him and it made her smile softly when she thought about it.

Kalon didn't buy a whole lot, but if something particularly caught his eye, they did buy it. He hummed contentedly as he walked, glad to enjoy the fresh air and the company of people he didn't know well.
After a while, a few people started to watch him from behind the corners of houses. Of course, it wasn't unusual for them to draw a bit of a crowd at times, but this was different. These people were watching him intently, and kept muttering something to each other and then vanishing from sight. Kalon didn't seem to notice, still perusing the shops.

She smiled as he bought things that caught his eye, keeping close to him the whole time. However she did notice people watching him intently and then disappearing. She looked into there direction and put a hand on his shoulder before Turning to him.
"Do you have everything you want to get kalon?"
She wanted to get him back as soon as possible. She sensed trouble brewing and didn't want to have to fight, though she absolutely would.

Kalon looked up with a soft hum when Phoebe addressed him, a warm smile still on their face. "Ah, yes… I think so. It's starting to get a bit dark too, so I suppose we should head back." As they turned, a bullet whizzed past his head, catching his ear. They froze for a moment, but then grabbed Phoebe and started to run back in the direction of the castle.
