"I don't know kalon..but if we just keep trying to keep out living them the problem will never be solved. We can't solve them by hurting them or it will just get worse.'
"I don't know kalon..but if we just keep trying to keep out living them the problem will never be solved. We can't solve them by hurting them or it will just get worse.'
"Yeah, I know… surely there's some way to resolve the issue without being passive or violent. We can arrest people as they try to attack me, but that won't solve the issue either." Kalon sighed.
'"Maybe we could interrogate one of the people we arrest and ask them why they are doing this and what we could do to make it better?"
"Mm, that could work. Do you think they'd willingly tell us?" They asked, humming thoughtfully. "I don't want to torture anyone, of course. I don't want to give them anything real to be upset about."
"Maybe if we show them we truly care for their cause it would give them more leniency to want to tell us?" She asked.
"Yeah, maybe… should we hold some sort of event? A ball open to the public, some sort of fundraiser. All the proceeds could go to helping the general population. Would that be good?"
"That's a good idea kalon." She nodded, smiling at him. "It should be open to all the people in the city, no matter the status.'
Kalon nodded. "We can start preparations for that immediately. Is there anything else you can think of that we could do to help the people?"
She shook her head, "No, not at this moment at least."
"Alright. Would you like to start on the preparations?" He asked. "There's several other members of the staff whose expertise we'll need…"
“As well as I am able I will. We might need help from the kitchen staff to provide baked goods and meal plans for everyone that comes.”
"Excellent. We can call a meeting with all relevant staff so that we can get started as soon as possible." Kalon nodded decisively.
She nodded along as well, "it would be good to stretch my legs after being laying down here for so long."
"Right. Do you want to do that now, then?" He asked. "It can wait until tomorrow if you need to rest."
She shook her head, "I want to get up and stretch my legs now so I'm not wobbling around tomorrow when it really counts."
"Alright, if you're sure. I'll be here to catch you if you fall." Kalon smiled softly and got out of the bed to assist Phoebe.
"Thank you for the offer kalon, though I do believe I can do it myself." She spoke, moving to slide off of the bed and stand up a little wobbly. She stretched her wings out a bit before just letting them hang behind her.
"Alright…" Kalon still held his hands out in a way that he was prepared to catch Phoebe if she were to fall, but he was glad that he wasn't needed. "Let's go call the staff, then."
She appreciated him being there for her. It gave her strength he didn't even know about it, strength to push through. She moved to stabilize herself and moved to start walking forwards.
"Yes, lets."
Kalon nodded and headed out the door, keeping an eye on Phoebe to make sure she was okay. "Hmm… what do you think is the best way to call everyone efficiently?"
She seemed to be doing okay for the most part. Despite a little bit of wobbling she didn’t show signs of falling over. “Perhaps…we have the, all summoned to one roo, to talk about it?”
"Yes, but what is the quickest way to summon them all, do you think?" Kalon asked. He slowed down so she wouldn't have to struggle to keep up.
"I'm not quite sure kalon." She frowned as she realized she didn't know an answer to his question, she considered ideas but they didn't seem adequate.
"Alright, um… how would you feel about splitting up, then?" Kalon asked. "Only temporarily, of course. Just to gather people more efficiently."
"As long as it's only temporarily, though I hate being away from your side. Let's just get it over with and done so that I may return to protecting you."
