The sun rose on the classroom as the kids filed in for their second day. However, one was missing from their new roster. Becca.

Jax noticed this and just hoped she was late.
The day went on but she never showed up. Where was she and what had happened to her?
Of course Jax was stressed out the entire day and was now ranting to Ethan.
Where was Becca? Try lying on her bedroom floor in a pool of her own blood, half dead from her brother's abuse the night before.
Jax knew that whatever had happened to Becca it wasn’t good. But he’d have to wait for now.
Every breath hurt. Just existing hurt. Her thoughts wandered to Jax. Was he worried about her? Did he even notice that she was gone? She doubted it.
Of course he’d somehow figure out where she lived, break in, and get her the heck out of there. But for now all the teachers were monitoring him closely.
She wished Daisy was still here. She was the only one who ever cared about when her older sister got hurt. Every movement made a new wave of pain run through her.
Eventually school did end and Jax automatically yeeted, having already figured out where she lived at this point. He hoped he just got there in time.
She had already been unconscious for hours. Not like anyone in her family cared since no one came to check on her.

Jax got to the house and after a few minutes, saw her through a window and quickly opened the window before climbing inside quietly.
(It's all good!)
She was surrounded by a pool of her own blood which was coming from an assortment of cuts and gashes that looked pretty deep on her body and they were everywhere.
“Jesus Becca they got you good” he said quietly. He knew he couldn’t just let her stay here. He gently picked her up. “Let’s get you out of here.”
She was unconscious from blood loss, her skin pale and stained pink. She was still bleeding pretty steadily which definitely wasn't helping.
He knew he had to get her somewhere safe quickly. With her still in his arms, he went back out the window he came through and headed towards his house.
She groaned in pain softly when he dropped from the window. She really wasn't doing good.
“Hold on just a bit longer.” He said, throwing open the front door of his house. His mom was asleep thankfully, she’d ask too many questions right now. He brought Becca into his room, setting her down on his bed before going to grab bandaids and stuff.
She was slowly waking up although she really didn't want to. The pain was so horrible and intense that it was basically like death to her. She wished he had just let her bleed out. Death was certainly better than the pain she felt now.
Jax came back with bandages and pain meds. “Open up, I got stuff to make you feel better.”
"Can I just bleed out and die instead?" She mumbled. "It'll hurt less than existing already does."
“Um…no. Now open.”
She sighed softly but opened her mouth instead of arguing further.
Jax sat her up and helped her swallow some pain pills before grabbing bandages.
She stayed silent through the process, refusing to even look at him. He had to see her like this and that was pain enough.
