Jax took note of the difference. “Then you better not disrespect her name by associating me with her hm?” He shook his head, chuckling softly. “Forget about it, you’ll never understand, sucks for you I guess.”
Jax took note of the difference. “Then you better not disrespect her name by associating me with her hm?” He shook his head, chuckling softly. “Forget about it, you’ll never understand, sucks for you I guess.”
"Let go of me. I have a sister to go chase down before she blabs to anyone else about what happens behind closed doors." He growled.
“Or I could not. You’re obviously abusing her, so why would I let you go?”
"I don't abuse her! I give her what she deserves as punishment."
“For doing what?!”
"For anything a good older sibling should! Being out past curfew, bad grades, getting into trouble at school, things like that. Oh, and running her damn mouth about things happening in the family that she knows she shouldn't be talking about."
“…that’s literally the most mundane stuff you could get mad at someone about” he sighed. “You have serious issues. And that’s coming from me”
"You're telling me that your parents wouldn't get pissed at you for being back home late? Or from getting D's on your report card?"
He thought. “Nope. My mom really doesn’t care”
"Well, my mother would. But since she's too drunk to remember that she has three kids to take care of, it's up to me to do it."
“Wow you’re such a responsible older brother” he said sarcastically
"Hey, it's not like anyone else can do it." He shot back. My older sister's high as a damn kite 95% of the time, obviously Becca can't stop running her mouth for two seconds to care about anyone but herself, so that just leaves me."
“And you’re handling the job so very well. How far are you going to go until she winds up dead?”
"As far as I have to. If she ends up dead from it, then that's her own fault for pushing me that far."
“You really are scum aren’t you?” He sighed. “I’m bored of talking to you. So I guess I’ll let you go.” But honestly he had to get home before his dad did to make sure his mom would be okay.
"She will pay for this." He growled under his breath, starting on his way home. He didn't care about anything Jax said to him. He had a mission.
Jax hoped Becca would still be alive by morning and quickly took off towards Ethan, hopping in the car a few minutes later.
“You get into a fight?”
“Something like that. Can you just drive me home please?”
Ethan nodded
He returned home quickly and slammed the door. Becca was upstairs in her room, cowering in fear. What would be next? Broken ribs? Concussion? She had no idea.
Jax was extremely stressed when he got home, he was later than he usually was. He fumbled with his keys and finally managed to open the door. “¿Mamá?” He called out and heard a response from the living room. He raced in there only to find that everything was completely fine.
“What’s wrong mijo? You look stressed” she asked, looking up at him.
He laughed a bit. “Something like that. Sorry for worrying you. I’m gonna go make some food okay?” She nodded, going back to knitting. His mother was the most gentle person he’d ever met. So he had to make sure she’d always be safe.
She heard him coming up the stairs and was left trembling when he reached her door, much less when he started banging on it. "Open the damn door, Rebecca. You know what happens when you start running your mouth."
His dad hadn’t been home in awhile and life had been good. But he didn’t believe for a second that it’d last.
"I didn't tell him anything! Please, leave me alone!" She cried. "Like hell you didn't! How else would he have known to come after you? Open the fucking door!"
Things with Jax were pretty chill honestly. But he was overly anxious the entire night.
(Right, can we skip to morning? Writing full on abuse scenes makes my stomach turn.)
(Sure thing)
