Ember rolled her eyes and shook her head "I don't understand why you can't follow orders I am the alpha you listen to me this wouldn't have happened had you done what I told you! You both realize that Finn could have died or you Teagan."
Teagan cowered, turning his ears back and looking away. Finn groaned, surely feeling guilty as well, but too nauseous and in pain to acknowledge it. "I'm… I'm sorry…" Teagan said softly. "We didn't mean for— I…" He shook his head, crouching lower to the ground. Nich grimaced sympathetically, glancing between the twins and Ember.
Ember sighed and sat down she voice still stern "when I tell you to do something listen to me I'm not just bossing you around to be a bitch it's because I don't want shines like this to happen."
"I know… we're just stupid, I guess. And annoying… nobody likes us around anyway. We didn't think it was a big deal if we left for a bit…" Teagan replied quietly. "Our parents always wanted us out of the house. Nobody here really likes us either, except maybe Samuel, but he's probably sick of us too…"
Ember shook her head a look of anger and sympathy on her face "that is not true nobody here is sick of you, your parents were assholes who had no idea how to take care of you that is why you are here everyone cares about you both of you but we grow tired of the blatant disregard ."
Teagan looked up at Ember meekly. "But everyone looks at us… that way. Like we're just hopeless rebellious teenagers or whatever. All we ever do is cause trouble." He sighed, pawing at the ground. Finn had closed his eyes by now, too exhausted to participate in the conversation.
"And at the moment that's exactly what you are, your rebellious and that's fine we were a some point but you have to realize when it's time to calm down and listen. "
Teagan nodded a bit, looking back down at his paws. "I'm sorry… we don't really mean to cause trouble for anybody." He replied softly. It wasn't clear whether or not Finn was conscious.
(Nich standing there like🧍)
Ember walked over to teagan and nudged him with her muzzle "I love the both of you but I need to work with me okay? "
(Yeah lol, trying not to get involved)
Teagan nodded again. "Yes, Ember…" He mumbled in reply. He and Finn had never been good at following orders. Their parents didn't care what they did as long as they weren't near them, after all. They were probably glad when their sons disappeared to join the pack, even though they had no idea where they'd gone.
Ember moved away from the two boys and went to lay down in a little grassy patch near by motioning for nitch to follow
Nich looked at the twins and then headed over, following Ember as instructed. He sat down beside her quietly, figuring she wanted to talk about something.
Ember sat there for a few minutes quietly and then laid her head down "so…. I'm sorry about all of this. "
"Oh, don't be sorry. You can't have known something like this would happen." Nich assured her. "Don't worry about it."
"How is your head feeling, any better?"
Nich shrugged. "A little better, probably. Definitely isn't any worse." He replied. "How are you?"
"That's good I'm glad." She chuckled a little, " im starting to get a headache with everything going on…do you have anyone, family I mean that you need to get to?"
Nich shook his head a bit. "No, nobody. I'm kind of a loner. Bachelor, if you will." He laughed softly. "I mean, not that I don't like being around people, moreso that it's not a great idea considering… you know." He gestured to his ears.
Ember laughed a little and looked down at the ground " well..if you'd like you can stay here if you'd like to, it's better than being out there alone."
"Mm… definitely tempting. I'll think about it. I assume people are allowed to freely leave if they want. I would still want to visit my nephews." He hummed thoughtfully.
Ember nodded "well I'd like it if you did it would add some excitement to this place, and as far as leaving goes just let someone know so we don't think you're dead or something. "
Nich nodded as well. "Yeah, right. I can call them and stuff… what kind of quarters do you guys have?" He asked. "How often are people in wolf form versus a humanoid form?"
Most people don't really like to be in human form.. they hate they hate them so much they can't stand to look at them." She looked over at the two boys over by the cliff an sighed "while others don't care they just like to run and play. "
Nich nodded again. "That makes sense… sometimes it's simply more comfortable to be in one form or another. With my prosthetics, being a fox isn't always the most comfortable for me, but I'm getting used to it." He looked over at the twins as well, Finn seeming lucid enough to make drowsy banter with his brother.
"Well I did have a question about your legs if I was able to…"
