Bridge sat in the seat next to Scipio, lifting his hat just a little to look up at him. He had no idea what Scipio's plan was, but it had gotten them out of the asylum alright.
Scipio smirked a bit and took Bridge's hand. He was clearly quite pleased with himself. Once they got out of the taxi, Scipio paid with some money he'd found in the uniform he was wearing and got out with Bridge. He took off his hat at that point. "We'll have to lay low… it'll be on the news soon, so we'll have to get out of the country as soon as possible." He whispered so only Bridge could hear him.
Bridge nodded, finding comfort in Scipio's hand. "Do…we don't have enough money," He responded in the same quiet voice.
"Well, we can either get jobs or do odd jobs, or stowaway. Either works. Obviously I'm not adverse to ignoring the law."
"Well…I know that. I…I guess I don't really know. What do…do you think?" Bridge asked softly, looking up at him.
"Well, in order to get on legally, we'd probably need around $900 and passports, which is all very tedious. Also potentially problematic since we need IDs and I don't want to deal with the process of making fake ones. We could just stowaway in the luggage storage for free, which also works."
"Oh." Bridge nodded. "Okay. I…we can do that."
"First, we'll want to go to the library so we have access to a computer. Then we can figure out flight times and stuff." Scipio started walking off, still holding Bridge's hand.
Bridge nodded, following him. "There's…I think there's one a couple blocks from here."
"Alright." Scipio wandered until he found a sign for the library, heading off in that direction. They found it and went inside.
It was a relatively big city library, with around seven floors - the second one, as the directory said, being filled with computers.
Scipio went upstairs and got onto one of the computers. He looked up flights to Italy and found one happening in about two days at eight a.m.
Bridge couldn't help but smile a little bit. He was going to Italy with Scipio. Hopefully he would, anyway.
"Alright, now we just have to lay low for two days so we aren't found and brought back." Scipio logged out the computer and left with Bridge.
"Where…are we going anywhere?" Bridge asked, looking up at him.
Scipio shrugged. "It's been a long time since I was out here. I don't know where to go."
"I…I think I could find my old house if I tried, but…" Bridge glanced out the window for a moment before returning his gaze to Scipio. "I don't really want to."
"I could kill your dad for you. Or at least tie him up in the basement until we leave."
"That…would probably kill him too," Bridge admitted with a small shrug.
"He can survive two days without food or water." Scipio said simply. "Trust me, I've done my research."
"Oh." Bridge nodded. "He…okay. He would die pretty quickly then."
"I'd untie him before we leave." Scipio sighed. "I'd just destroy all the phones so he couldn't call the police."
"You…you want to do that?" Bridge asked, not in a condescending way, but one rather uncertain. "He…he has guns."
"You know, I could just kill him. It'd be so much easier."
"I mean…" Bridge looked away for a moment. "You could. Just…I would be careful."
