Bridge smiled softly, burying his head in the crook of Scipio's shoulder again before shutting his eyes. The lullaby and Scipio's presence eventually put him to sleep.
Once Scipio noticed Bridge had fallen asleep, he stayed very still so he wouldn't wake him. Luckily, the hallway was pretty quiet, so he didn't have to yell at any guards.
Bridge slept for a good while, a slow hour at least. Eventually he woke, his eyes blinking open.
"Morning again…" Scipio kissed the top of Bridge's head, still holding him close. He could tell when Bridge was awake or asleep by just observing him, usually. His pulse, breathing, and general movements were all giveaways.
Bridge smiled sleepily, liking the way he was being held. It was warm and comfortable, and he didn't want to leave.
"Comfortable?" Scipio gently pet Bridge's hair with one hand.
Bridge nodded silently, leaning into his touch. It was very comfortable.
"Good…" Scipio glared at a guard for a few seconds before turning his attention back to Bridge. "We should get out of here."
"Out…out of where?" Bridge asked quietly, looking up at him curiously.
"Here. The cell. The asylum. Hell, the country, who even gives a damn anymore. I'm sick of this place."
Bridge nodded a little, knowing he was probably serious. "Now?"
"Well, we should probably plan first. I may be impulsive sometimes, but jumping into this blind would be idiotic."
He nodded again. "You've…you've been here longer than I have."
"Indeed. I've studied the guards' shifts and routines in case of a situation like this, so I know where blind spots and brief guard free intermissions are." Scipio said simply, yet quietly so the guards wouldn't hear him.
"Oh." Bridge paused. "Do…do you know how far away an exit is?"
Scipio nodded. "I've seen them briefly when I've run out before, for that reason specifically. I have at least a partially photographic memory, and I know how part of this place is laid out."
"That's…that's good," Bridge said, thinking silently to himself. He knew it was very dangerous, but the idea of getting out of here, let alone with Scipio, appealed greatly to him.
"I haven't seen all of it, but what I do know should be sufficient. How to get out of the cell without being noticed could be more difficult, though…"
"We…we did it last time. Not…not without alarms, though," He pointed out.
"I might be able to manage it if I knock a guard unconscious after he opens the door… I can do it quickly so he doesn't make any noise. As much as I'd like that guard to be Dave, his schedule unfortunately wouldn't fit the plans…"
Bridge smiled a little. "If…maybe they'll come again. To get me, probably."
"No, that wouldn't work… they'd bring about a dozen guards and there's no guarantee I could take them all down, at least not without them calling backup. If we could convince someone to come in alone…" He mused quietly to himself.
"Who would do that?" Bridge asked, looking up at him.
"Luka's done it before. And I would love to knock that bastard out."
Bridge considered for a moment. "He…he might."
