"You're welcome." The doctor offered a small smile.
"Now, even with that brace, I want you to keep the walking to a minimum, understood? We don't want your leg getting too much strain put on it before we can operate."

"Now, even with that brace, I want you to keep the walking to a minimum, understood? We don't want your leg getting too much strain put on it before we can operate."
Mir nodded sadly at Corbin’s comment, but as he looked over at Dali and saw the brace, his eyes lit up. His best friend finally had what he needed. He looked back to the king as grasped his hand thankfully. “Thank you so much… We thought we were going to die in that hellhole…..” His eyes took on a small spark of fear as if he was afraid they still would. They might if the war ended and the king had no more use for them…
Corbin held Dragomir's hand in turn. He saw the fear there, small but secure in the halfling.
"I'm going to make sure that will never happen," he said softly. "I owe you both a great debt, for what you are doing for this country. Thank you…"
"I can do that."
Dali bowed his head in respect to the doctor, he held out a hand. "I'm Dalimal Ashebrook, thank you again." He kept his hand on the brace, just making sure that it won't vanish any minute now, becuase he doesn't deserve this, but he's selfish so he'll take advantage of it.
Dragomir didn’t actually believe the king. He’d been hurt too many times for that. But he gave a smile anyways, nodding along. He hissed in pain as he felt his stitches pull as his right arm muscles spasmed a bit. He regularly had muscle spasms, but it varied on where, how long, and/or the severity.
The doctor shook Dalimal's hand, then pulled it away to clean up.
"I am Doctor Ameil Parkins. And I'm not one who deserves thanks- I'm just doing what needs to be done." The doctor offer Dali a small smile, then turned her attention towards the bed.
Corbin stood up just a bit wen Dragomir hissed, coming closer. The doctor hurried over, setting her bag down.
"These stitches don't look good," she said gravely. "Especially with those spasms…" She opened her bag, looking through it for something to help.
(Sorry responses are so slow– I have a lot to write for a lot of rps @~@)
Dali relaxed, or tried to relax, back into the chair, closing his eyes for a moment. Mir was going to get treated and everything would be okay, as long as Mir was okay, everything else would be. Gods, I'm pathetic. He sighed, bringing his hand up to his face to rub the bridge of his nose. You can't just dedicate your life to someone just because you're broken and they are too. The only reason we stuck together is because we're both ex-military…
(No problem. I accidentally disappeared from all my RPs just now because my body crashed for a nap…)
(god I want a nap)
Dragomir whimpered pathetically. “I had to try and redo a couple myself after they snapped…. But I’m an Apothecarian, not a medic…. And it’s hard to do it to yourself there-“ He cut himself off with a yelp, squinting his eyes shut as he spasmed. “I-I’ve had the spasms since I was a younger teenager, and they’ve only gotten worse….” He let out a deep breath of relief when the muscle twitches passed. “I used to take supplements of Magnesium for it and it helped, but I haven’t been able to afford any since the army….”
(god I want a nap)
(I nearly missed my zoom with my college history class because I fell asleep and then ended up napping for the duration of it. My body always insists on shutting down at 2 in the afternoon. Every. Day. I have no clue why.)
(Oof, my classes get out at 2 and I have to wait till 8 so I keep a somewhat okay sleep shedule, but I'm deppresed so,,, always tired)
(Me. That and stress. So much stress and constant panic attacks…)
(School,, bad. Sleep,,, nice. World,,, cold. Bed,,, warm.)
(No one:)
(Me, looking at Dali, Corbin, and Mir: These are my serotinin sources I want them to kiss)
(YES. I just was them them cuddle and kiss and be happy!!)
(Exactly, kiss and cuddle and be happy and fuck!)
Ameil nodded, listening as Dragomir spoke.
"Well," she said, "We'll have to get you back on those supplements, then. I'm going to clean up these stitches, too. They look close to coming out. When did you get them?" The doctor set out her tools, looking at the halfing with sympathetic eyes. It really was just because of how much pain he seemed to be in.
Corbin stayed by Dragomir's side, but stood when the doctor motioned for him to. He took a few steps back, looking at Dali.
"Do you want help to your room?" he asked softly. "It's right next to this one." He offered a tiny smile, more of a peace offering than anything. He just wanted for them to get along, and stop this war. Dali could leave after if he wanted to, and Dragomir too, taken care of for the rest of their lives for helping.
(World,,, bad. Parents,,, worse. Fictional world with adorable threesome that needs to get wholesome, and fuck,, Perfect)
(And talk and soothe each other and let Mir make the others gifts and fuck some more!)
(World,,, bad. Parents,,, worse. Fictional world with adorable threesome that needs to get wholesome,,, Perfect)
(I see only perfection with this statement.)
Mir mumbled, “Longer than they should have been in… I got the original stitches about four weeks ago, but the wound ripped open again because I worked it too much… Hence why I restitched it…” He knew that they’d be hard to take out now because they’d been in for so long, and he’d certainly have scarring…
Dali shot a look to Dragomir, one filled with concern. "I- I need to make sure he'll be fine." He finally decided on after a minute of thinking. "I wish he would've gotten treated first, he's got it so much worse." Wow, he must be really tired. This tired Dali seemed like a different person… or just a really tired Dali.
Ameil nodded some.
"Here, take this," she instructed of Mir. "It will help with the pain. I think it would be best if I take these out now, then." The doctor sat down, pulling out the tools she needed to clean the scaps off and get the stitches out.
Corbin sat down across from Dali, nodding some.
"Alright, then. I understand the worry." Corbin looked to Mir and the doctor himself. "I'm sure he will be," he promised softly. "Ameil is one of the best left in the country."
