Sterling’s POV:

“Hm… Did I ever have her pancakes? Because I don’t think so,” I mused, pecking her on the lips before reluctantly pulling away. “Care to help me? Or would you prefer to stay in bed for a bit longer?”

Eden’s POV:

“You haven’t? Wait, of course not… when we go there in for Halloween, I’ll make sure she cooks them for you,” I nodded in confirmation. When he continued, I turned red. “Um… help you with what…?

Sterling’s POV:

“Sounds good. I’ll look forward to them,” I said. As her face grew red, I laughed gently and kissed her nose. “With the pancakes, love. I wasn’t insinuating anything… this time…”

Eden’s POV:

I swatted his arm, pouting, trying to hide my red face.

“You’re a jerk,” I mumbled, because a part of me hoped he had been suggesting that… “Use the bathroom quickly so I can use it. Then I’ll join you in the kitchen.”

Sterling’s POV:

“Hey, you’re always welcome to join me if you want to,” I said with a shrug before I stood. “But that’s up to you, babe.”

Eden’s POV:

“You has your chance,” I shrugged. “You lost it.”

Sterling’s POV:

I frowned slightly and looked down at her for a moment. “Fine, then… But I’ll remember this for next time,” I assured her, a smirk making its way to my lips.

Eden’s POV:

I looked at him nervously.

“What do you mean by ‘next time’?” I asked him slowly.

Sterling’s POV:

I chuckled lowly and winked at her before walking into the bathroom. “You’ll see when the time comes…” I said mysteriously as I closed the door behind myself.

Eden’s POV:

With my heart hammering wildly in my chest, I looked at the bathroom door with shock. Immediately, I shook my head with a scowl. This time, I wouldn’t let him tease me. No matter how many times I would want him to take me, I won’t let him.

“Have a great shower!” I called out after him, huffing quietly to myself.

I let out a soft groan as I was pulled gently from the embrace of sleep, blinking slowly as I cane to my wits. The first thing I noticed was that for once, I wasn’t cold. Usually, I awoke to goosebumps and my covers in a heap on the floor, but today….

“Gray?” I murmured, as if to ensure that it was him.

Gray’s POV:

I tightened my hold on my girlfriend, pressing my lips to the top of her head as she called my name, voice coated in sleep.

“I’m right here,” I whispered, kissing her lightly again. “Good morning, beautiful.”

Eden’s POV:

“Have a great shower!” I called out after him, huffing quietly to myself.

Sterling’s POV:

I chuckled and started running the water before calling back, “I will, thank you!”

A few minutes later, I got out, wrapped a towel around my waist, and stepped out of the bathroom. Water droplets still cling to my skin, and my hair was damp and mussed.

“Your turn, love,” I said, grinning over at Eden before grabbing clean clothes from the dresser.

Eden’s POV:

While Sterling was getting his clothes out of the dresser, I slowly walked behind him and wrapped my arms around his damp skin. I didn’t care. I was going to take a shower, anyway. Standing on my toes, I pressed a slow kiss to his shoulder.

“Next time, do dry off properly,” I murmured against his skin before pulling away like I hadn’t done anything. Grabbing my own towel, I began making my way towards the bathroom.

Sterling’s POV:

I froze at the feeling of Eden’s arms wrapping around me. Everywhere she touched burned… And then she had the audacity to kiss my shoulder like that…

I swear, this woman was going to kill me. She knew just how to get to me, and she thoroughly enjoyed then she got to do so.

Turning around, I set my clothes on top of the dresser before clearing my throat. I let my darkened eyes trail over her form while she turned around.

“Hey… Come here,” I said, my voice dropping an octave as I held my hand out to her.

Eden’s POV:

I froze, his low voice reaching my ears. I shuddered visibly, turning around slowly, locking eyes with his dark ones.

Shit. I’m doomed…

My eyes flickered to his outstretched hand, swallowing thickly. I didn’t even know I was walking towards him until I was in front of him, my hand reaching out to take his.

Sterling’s POV:

I gently took her and and drew her towards me. Leaning down to her ear, I murmured lowly, “You cannot just do that and get away with it…” I paused and kissed the space under her ear, knowing how it would affect her. “Maybe I should join you in that shower, hm? I’m not sure if I got clean enough in mine…”

Eden’s POV:

I squeezed my eyes shut, taking in a shuddering breath, trying to keep the gasp inside but failing. He was whispering in my ear on purpose. That kiss was his way of showing me I couldn’t refuse him. Of course he was doing it on purpose. This was his payback for me teasing him.

I felt my legs weaken at his low comments, knees ready to buckle any second. I forced myself to remain neutral, but I was sure my face was as red as a cherry by now.

“You… you need to go start on breakfast,” I stammered lamely, my eyes glued to the hand on my arm, holding me in place.

Sterling’s POV:

I smirked at the stutter in her voice. She seemed to be having a hard time already.

“That is very true… Would you prefer that?” I asked, letting my lips brush against the skin of her neck.

Eden’s POV:

I sucked in a breath, my eyes squeezing shut again. At this point, I knew I was a goner. I told myself to hold out longer, but I knew I was reaching my limit. He was my weakness. I could never refuse him.

Judging from his voice, he was enjoying this. Enjoying seeing me having a hard time. Enjoying hearing me stammer, my face turning red, because it showed him that I could never walk away from him.

“Sterling, stop…” I whispered, my breathing getting heavier. “You’ve made your point. Stop teasing me like this…”

Sterling’s POV:

I blinked a few times at her words. She… wanted me to stop… Was that all? She just wanted me to stop and leave her alone, or did she want something else?

“Sorry,” I breathed, abruptly letting go of her hand and backing away. I ran a hand through my hair and looked away, not wanting to hurt her by doing something she didn’t want me to do.

Eden’s POV:

I whipped my head up to look at him with wide eyes. Did he just misunderstand my words? I scowled. What was that for? Was he an idiot?

I took a step towards him, scowling, and grabbed his arm again, trying to fight off all the sudden thoughts (like how strong his arms are).

“You are such an idiot,” I grumbled, scowling with my cheeks getting redder. “Stop teasing me, Sterling, and just kiss me already!”

Sterling’s POV:

She did want something else… Oh, thank goodness…

I stared down at her for a moment before a smirk made its way to my lips. Removing her hands from my arms, I grabbed them and pulled her toward me before walking her back against a wall.

“Gladly,” I murmured roughly before our lips collided.

Eden’s POV:

Fireworks exploded in my stomach the second he slammed his lips on mine, my arms automatically wrapping around his neck. I tried pulling myself up to get a better hold of him, pressing my lips harder against him.

I took his bottom lip between my teeth, biting down on it gently, knowing it would make things only harder for me but wanting to do it anyway. The things this man made me go through…

Sterling’s POV:

A small growl slipped from my throat and into her mouth as I felt her teeth on my lip. Bending down a bit more, I took her legs and wrapped them around my waist before straightening again.

“You make me insane,” I murmured against her before running my tongue over her lips. “So. Freaking. Insane…”
