(Climb out the window into the garden?)
((kool beans))
Callie glanced out the window, getting a sudden idea in the back of his head, yet another impulsive thought. You said you wanted to see the gardens?
I guess so. Why? Lucas followed Callie's gaze, but didn't seem to quite understand.
You could see it today. If you want. Something to do, Callie offered, looking out. It wasn't even a full story fall, something Callie could easily recover from.
(There's also the willow tree and balconies lol. What if you just grabbed Lucas and yeeted yourself out a window?)
Really? How? Lucas put his hands in his pockets.
((lmao fair))
Callie gestured out the window. There's trees, and balconies, and from there it's not too far of a jump. I could catch you.
Lucas glanced between the window and Callie for a couple seconds. We're jumping out of a window?
Well, more like climbing out. And only if you want to, Callie told him, deciding that they could use the balcony and then the willow branch before jumping down.
He considered for a bit. Okay. Just be careful He reproachfully went to the window.
Callie smiled, opening it and holding it in place before stepping out onto the balcony railing and then to a tree branch, looking back to give Lucas help if he needed it.
Lucas tentatively climbed over the railing and stayed pressed up against it, looking rather nervous.
Callie stood on the branch, walking over to the edge of the balcony and slipping his arm across Lucas' waist, guiding him carefully down to the branch.
Lucas clung tightly to Callie, his legs quivering. He didn't think this was a great idea, but he couldn't communicate that to Callie at the moment.
From there, Callie made his way carefully to the trunk of the tree, slowly climbing down the branches until he came to where they ended. The jump from there wasn't even a story tall, something Callie could easily take.
That's pretty far… are you sure this is safe? Lucas carefully signed with one hand, staring down at the ground.
Callie nodded, jumping and landing smoothly on his feet, still holding Lucas. He had done jumps like this many times before, from many different heights. He did work with planes, after all.
Lucas yelped when Callie jumped, though Callie couldn't hear him, of course. He clung tightly to Callie, shaking.
Callie smiled a little, gently brushing some hair out of Lucas' face to calm him, and finally releasing him. Callie had never been to these gardens before either, and they really were breathtaking.
Lucas tentatively looked around, amazed, but still kinda terrified. He held tightly to Callie's hand and refused to let go.
Callie looked around in wonder, smiling at all of the beauty. He had never ever seen much more than ten square feet of flowers arranged like this - by color, by size, by type.
I wish I could come here more often, but I'm not really allowed outside much. Lucas managed to sign with one hand as he glanced around at the flowers.
It's beautiful. Callie signed, dropping his hand to his side and starting to walk around the edges of the garden.
Lucas let Callie drag him along, humming quietly to himself. How are we going to get back up?
Callie looked around for a moment, finally spotting a pair of double doors that looked like a normal entrance, not something they would have to sneak around in. There.
