Lucas heard the door open and quickly pretended to be asleep. He hoped whoever came in knew sign language so Callie could just lie and say Lucas was particularly stressed.
Lucas heard the door open and quickly pretended to be asleep. He hoped whoever came in knew sign language so Callie could just lie and say Lucas was particularly stressed.
And that's what Callie quickly planned to do, to simply lie. It's what he always did, his terrible impulsiveness always telling him to do things. They usually turned out to be better off for him, though, so he went with it.
It was the nurse coming to check up on Lucas, thankfully, and not the king or queen. Even if they told the truth to the nurse, she probably wouldn't tell.
Callie felt a small wave of relief pass over him as he saw it was thankfully only her, quickly signing to her that Lucas was okay but still a little stressed.
She smiled and nodded. I'll let the others know to leave you be. She quietly closed the door and Lucas tentatively opened one eye. Is she gone?
Callie nodded. She was just checking on you. He paused for a moment, deciding eventually to tell him. I lied. I said you were just stressed.
Alright, cool. Lucas tucked his head under Callie's chin, relaxing again.
And they went back to it - neither of them wanting to get up, solely enjoying the other's company. Callie had nowhere to be, not that he would want to be anywhere else.
We should probably get up soon. Lucas eventually signed, though he didn't make any attempt to move.
Anything you have to do today? Callie asked, making no such attempts himself.
I don't think so. Lucas tugged at the collar of his own shirt, as it was getting a bit hot from the sun.
Callie eventually let him go, sitting up in the bed and letting Lucas do whatever he needed. It was getting rather hot directly under the sun.
Lucas sat up and stretched, standing to go over into his closet to change. He came out wearing a white zip up jacket and plain skinny jeans.
Callie smiled, standing on his feet after a couple of moments. He was wearing the same clothes as he had yesterday - jeans, a green t-shirt, and that leather jacket.
Lucas went over to a mirror and started to comb his hair, seeming like he'd done it the same way for years. He set the comb down when he was satisfied with it and went over to Callie.
Callie ran a couple fingers through his hair, not particularly minding any way it was. It surely hadn't looked any better yesterday, so whatever it was today would be fine. He hoped.
How do I look? Lucas turned around in a circle with a slight flourish, holding his hands out a bit at his hips.
You look amazing, Callie signed to him, smiling at his actions. As usual.
Lucas grinned, blushing a bit as he hugged Callie tightly. (How tall is Callie, by the way?) Have you ever seen me in public other than yesterday?
((he's like 5'9")
Callie hugged him back, pulling away just a small bit to sign. No, actually. Never.
(Cool)
That's understandable. I'm only really supposed to go out for weddings and important events and stuff. Lucas hummed, tilting his head up a bit to kiss Callie's jaw.
((how tall is lucas then))
Callie smiled, leaning forward to quickly kiss Lucas on the lips. He'd seen Lucas in pictures and videos and things before, but he was all the better up close.
(About 5'6)
Lucas smiled again, kissing him back. He held up the sign for 'I love you' once he pulled away.
((aight))
Callie did the same, light reflecting off of his hand as he held it up. It was rather poetic, but it didn't last long as a cloud crossed the sky.
What now? Lucas glanced out the window again, folding his arms.
