(Aaaaahhg that's great Emi !!! Ksbxiwkbdid :'> don't worry bout it fam 😆 i haven't been on much either lmao lowkey missed y'all uwu)
Caz grinned at the 'Mr. Angel' part. "Okay, well, how about we figure that out after we take a shower, yes?" Caz offered. Maybe he would have Zack try the only dish on the human planet that he fancied, sushi.
Sushi was the only thing he would eat without gagging, he couldn't even remember how he had developed a taste for it in the first place.
Caz slowly got up from the bed and stretched and groaned, he had never slept for that long before. He looked back at Zack. "I'll take a shower first, then you can go, is that alright?" He asked, not really knowing if that's something demons did. Caz knew angels didn't do it but he had picked up the habit from the humans to blend in and now it was a part of his morning routine.
(aaaa I missed you too, Mumu!)
Zack sniffed the bed that the Angel had left behind, slowly sitting up with a small stretch of his back. He cooed quietly as his muscles twinged and stretched the knots of sleep from his trunk.
“Okay, that sounds fine.” Demons didn’t usually shower all that much, considering they weren’t exactly beings that became filthy unless Humans had a hand in it. Of course, with Zack, it was much different, considering the fact that he was a Lust-working Demon (not much by choice) so he showered as often as he could.
(I missed ya too ~ 😆)
Caz flashed a smile at him before he disappeared into the bathroom.
Truth be told, Caz had been dying to take his clothes off from the moment he woke, his back ached.
He slowly pealed the clothes back to reveal his drooping black wings. He froze. Black wings. He freaked out. Stumbled back into the wall and nearly crashed into the curtain and fell into the tub. He really messed up this time. It's not that Caz regretted it, in fact, it was something he had wanted to do for a long time, break free. But the thought of losing the only thing that made him who he was, was absolutely terrifying. And for the first time in centuries, tears pricked at the corner of his eyes as he slid down the wall, trembling hands running through his hair as he dipped his head in despair.
With only one look, Caz could tell that not only were his wings black and oozing with black ink, but they were deteriorating as well. Rotting.
If Caz lost his wings, not only would he be ten times more vulnerable, but he ran the risk of losing all of his divine powers. Caz had seen what they had done to the other demons when they were caught, and for once, he feared for his life.
"It's okay.." he said with a trembling low yet soft voice, trying to reassure himself. "I can fix this." But no matter how much he tried to tell himself positive things, his mind kept returning to his death. He would die. Turn to dust. And maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't made a promise with Zack. The sweet small demon that was waiting on his bed, waiting his turn.
Caz slowly got up and looked in the mirror again, closing his eyes as soon as he saw his sorry state. What was he anymore? Not an angel, but not a demon either. Not even a lowly human.
He had to fix this and his only shot at this was finding the one demon that had saved him years ago from a cruel faith bestowed upon him by God their father. Jest.
Zack scooted across the bed as soon as Casper disappeared into the bathroom, nosing his spot curiously with his sharp nose. In his smelly tour of the room when he woke up that morning, he had smelled something… weird. Something he had never smelled before, and he’d smelled many, many vile and disgusting things, but this was so unlike something he had smelled.
His nose was pressed to the bed in determination to find this smell, almost rank and gross to the point of vomiting. Zack was very good against his bodily reactions (hence, Lust Demon), yet this smell made him gag slightly as soon as he moved closer to it. He sneezed loudly, his body’s way of trying to rid it from his nose, and sniffled quietly.
What was that smell??
(sorry for the small response!!)
(It's okay XDD I didn't really give you anything to go off of-)
Caz scrubbed everywhere, especially on his back side where his wings were. He tried, he really tried to rinse the black ooze off but more would just take it's place.
When Caz got out of the shower and looked in the mirror again, he saw that his wings had slightly inproved, but were still a mess. Guess I won't be using them anytime soon.. He thought. Might as well wrap them for now.
He looked in the cabinet under the sink and saw the first aid kit that he had stashed a few years ago. He took it out and unravelled the cloth bandage, begining to wrap it around his chest and over his broken wings. Caz had done this before when he had first been brought to earth, back when he had no idea how to hide his wings from the people that dwelled on the planet. It made his wings ache but that was something he would have to deal with in the mean time.
Caz soon got dressed and sprayed a shit load of the thing the humans called Axe. It was like a good smelling mist that came out of a can bottle.
After he was done, he opened the door of the bathroom and walked to the bedroom where Zack was at. "Alright, I'm done, your turn" he said, a gentle smile on his face, though the terror he had witness in the bathroom was eating at his mental stability.
Zack sat up slowly as the Angel appeared back into the bedroom, his nose pointed up slightly still from his escapade from the bed. His nose fell and his eyes trained intently onto Caz, big and wide for no particular reason. He slowly stood from the bed, nosing the air curiously, as though quietly following a blood trail with his strong nose.He paused near the Angel, his mismatched eyes now more obvious than ever up close like this.
Literally, once again, without words, the Demon sneezed loudly after taking one whiff of the Angel, his nose crunching up almost comically. Something was definitely wrong with this smell, it smelled so— almost too— Human. Zack never really liked how Humans smelled. He didn’t like Angel musk either, until he met Caz, which was enjoyable. Well, not currently.
“What happened? You smell weird,” The Demon finally asked, his big eyes still round and concerned, as they always look. It almost seemed to be a permanent look for Wings, whose wings were fluttering anxiously behind him. Demons were never the type to show such soft, gentle emotions, but let’s be honest, Zack wasn’t a normal Demon. He acted almost like a Half-Breed mix of Demon and Human.
(hey, i know it's been a long time and i didn't want to get near you or disturb you cause you're really happy with Nate right now and i didn't wanna bring sort of depressing news to ya, you kno? but i guess i have to say this eventually. so, um. my cousin died, sometime this week- or last week, i haven't been keeping track cause im a mess right now, but i just wanted to tell you that i can't-
i really can't keep this going, im probably going to attend her funeral this week or the next, i'm not sure, but i just wanted to tell you so you don't think im avoiding you or anything-
she was kind of like a sister to me, we were very close and i just, i dont know. i want to vent so bad to someone but i know that it's hard for the other person to help so i just want to leave it at that. i won't be coming on anymore, because after this it kinda made me realize how i take people around me for granted.
but i did want to say thanks for being a hella cool friend on here, you're really sweet and supportive and you deserve all the happiness that's coming your way ^^ i appreciate the living fuck outta you emi, take care of yourself my dude, i hope i'll cya around later maybe, who knows <3)
(oh no, Mumu, I’m so sorry for your loss. Please tell me if there is anything I can do to help you or anything, but please go about mourning healthily. Mourning is scary and painful, just as losing a loved one is, but that loved one wouldn't want you to put yourself in harm’s way.
Don’t worry yourself about me, thanks for telling me, sweetheart ❤️)
(yeah no problem, i felt like you should know cause you're a good buddy of mine ;> but i will, im currently getting help from my therapist, so i think it should be okay, thanks though, for showing you care- ahaha, sounds a little cheesy, sorry XD)
(awww. also it’s good to know you’re getting help. Hey you’re welcome, I really do care about you and I’m honored that I’d cross your mind as someone to tell despite my own life right now. I appreciate it, really ❤️❤️)
(of course ! since the day i met you you've always been hecca friendly towards me !! and i appreciates that of you <3 <3)
(!! and I’ll be here for you if you ever, ever need anything that requires an Emi.)
(ahaha thanks my duder, you're a real one ~)
(Gimme a sec to read it over cause I need a refresher 😸)
Caz swallowed hard, paranoid that Zack would find out- and eventually he would but Caz didn't want him to…at least not right now. He looked like a disgrace.
Caz cleared his throat. "I…" Caz's voice broke involuntarily but he tried again. "I had to wash off the scent of the other angel…dead angels don't smell so good-" he said, guilt reading in his eyes at he stared directly at Zack' s colored ones. "Don't worry, it should wear off soon." He reassured Zack, though he was going to have to mask the foul odor quickly.
Caz's eye twitched as he thought about it. I mean, how was he going to do that? Put his wings in boiling water??
Then, a thought struck his mind- one that never thought he would have to resort to. Caz really loved his wings. I mean, of course he did, it was the pride and joy of every angel. He didn't want to have to get rid of them. He had thought of going to Jest for help but would he really be able to help him at this stage? If not, then….would it just be best to cut them off to prevent them from corrupting his body?
Caz shivered, fear striking his eyes. Once. He had once gone through that in heaven. It was worse than any pain imaginable to mankind.
Caz looked at Zack s shivering wings. Was the smell making him uncomfortable? He looked away, eyes trained on the floor. He would do it. But…but not now. He would wait and see if his condition improved. If it didn't…then, he would have no choice.
“But you just took a shower,” Zack argued back, in a tone a mother would take with her son. His eyes were slowly getting squintier and squintier as he tried to figure out the situation without using his nose. Demons usually acted quite dog-like, and a situation where something had to get figured out was not an exception. Of course, Zack respected Caz, so he wasn’t about to sniff around more than he already had. His eyes widened as he caught traces of guilt, then a flicker of fear as Caz floated off into his thoughts.
The Demon stepped forward, grabbing Caz’s shoulders in his surprisingly strong hands. “What’s going on, Caz?” He asked in a more firm, demanding tone, his eyes still soft with concern. It smelled as if something was rotting, decaying, taking over, possessing the musky scent that Caz had before. It didn’t smell pleasant, and Zack planned on keeping his newfound cuddle-buddy. Zack’s wings flapped strongly behind him thanks to the rush of emotion in his chest. It was a mix of rage in the situation and being left out of it, passion to help, and something else he didn’t exactly have time to mull over. This situation was happening now. And it was something he had to figure out, or it wouldn’t be figured out at all.
"No, it's nothing, I swear-" As soon as the words came out of his mouth a pulse went through his body that paralyzed him for a second. Angels weren't meant for lying. Caz backed up and shook his head. The dominant voice Zack was using right now made Caz worry a little. Right now, he could overpower him, no sweat, but he couldn't tell Zack, he wouldn't make him worry.
"Look…why don't you go take a shower and we'll get something to eat after you come out, does that sound okay?" He asked, trying to diverge the topic to something else.
Caz took in a shaky breath. "It's not a big deal-" another pulse rippled across his body which made him feel dizzy for a second this time around. "It's just something some angels go through sometimes- it depends" he added quickly at the end.
Zack was already waaay deep into worry, and Caz refusing to tell him just made him more upset and determined to find out. It wad a ruthless cycle Caz was running with Zack, for sure, for the latter wouldn’t let the other be until he figured it out.
“I’ll take a shower after you tell me what’s going on- I- This isn’t normal!” Zack made sure to support Caz the best he could through his hands. His face was getting more soft as Caz shivered and stumbled. He brought the Angel to the bed and carefully sat him down, sitting next to him, supporting the other with his dark wings.
“It looks like a big deal, er, Casimir, so please tell me what’s going on.” The please made the whole thing sound more like a demand than a polite question.
Caz looked away bitterly, cursing his existence. It's because I'm having too many complicated feelings towards none other than a demon. He thought- but he couldn't exactly tell him that, he would scare him off and Caz was particularly fond of the little demon. "It's not-" Caz tried to explain, but knew it was futile since he would only blight himself even more with the lies.
"My wings. They're a mess. I'm-" He paused. "I'm gonna cut them off. It's the best course of action." He said, trying to act strong and not scared. He looked up at Zack, a tired, sad, yet determined look on his face. "Don't try to stop me." He said getting back up from the bed and walking out the door. "It's happening. I don't really need them." Another pulse shook his heart. Caz was pretty sure he would have a heart attack with all the lies. No matter. It wasn't a big concern for him. "Go take a shower Wings…I'll be back before you know it"
Zack watched Caz rise to his feet, his lips parted slightly in his attempt to protest. He rose to his feet, meandering after Caz, unable to bring himself to interrupt what was happening. While he was the physically stronger individual, he felt so much weaker being unable to stop this. Caz seemed set on it.
“How long will you be?” Zack squeaked in an attempt to make Caz stay, to make his tired, confused brain whirr up a reason or thing to make Caz stay for a few minutes longer. “I don’t want to be separated from you for too long, you know?” He was bumbling through a perfectly reasonable question, and really, it wasn’t working out for him. With each word he uttered, it just made him sound more clingy and… as though they were more than just friends. What the hell were they, anyway?
No- that didn’t matter right now…
