“Well, I know where it is. I just have no idea where we are,” Zack attempted to explain himself further, but his point was obviously getting buried under the lack of context from his side. It was sort of hard to give instruction for a place that the Angel barely knew existed, yet there was Zack, probably the most incompetent Demon in the world, possibly ever, trying to explain it. Zack knew where it was, it was his home, but explaining it was extremely hard. He just… knew.

“We could do your thing, though,” He chirruped hastily in agreement with the Angel, moving closer to him again. That gross smell tickled his nostrils again. “Do you know where he is from here? Walking’s probably the best way to attack it, I think.” It sounded as if he had made the decision, but he put no force behind it, expecting it to be usurped.

Caz looked miserable to say the least- maybe even sickly. He looked way paler than before. "oh, we uh, we're in Kansas- i think-, i haven't checked in a long time. All I know is that we're somewhere on earth, though it seems more like a punishment for me" he said sarcastically- well, maybe he wasn't that sick if he was still making sarcastic jokes.
"Walking huh?" Caz repeated. He felt like if he walked for anymore than two miles he would collapse, but he agreed anyways. "No, yeah, that's a great idea, I'd love to walk.." And this time he wasn't being sarcastic, he was just saying the first thing that came to his mind. It might as well have been scrambled at this point.

(wanna skip to when they get there? it's kind of like a place hidden in the mountains)

It felt as if they had been walking for years. Zack wanted to keep going for longer than 24 hours, his nimble, small Demon body enabling such energy. Despite absolutely loving sleeping, Zack could live without it for longer than a week if necessary.

But he wasn’t sure about his Angelic friend, who seemed to be struggling with more than just walking to this place. So for Caz’ sake, Zack took breaks relatively often and made sure to take care of the Angel, too. He scrounged the forest for water and berries for the pair of them, making Caz eat when the Angel was reluctant to do so. Zack wasn’t entirely sure about an Angel’s eating pattens, but seeing someone not eat for an extended amount of time really spooked him.

Though, through those days, they made it to the hidden place in the mountains. Zack thanked whatever hellish god there was that they made it without one of them dying on the way, his concern for Caz had been growing more and more the further they walked.

(lmaoo all good, me too, i might get a little choppy with my replies though since im on new medication not that i was consistent with my replies anyways shdbldjkl f)

Caz was on a thin line between life and death. How they had made it? That was beyond him. Caz wanted to believe that god had been the one to help, but all things considered, it didn't seem like it. Though Caz was thankful for the small demon that helped him on the way here. H felt guilty though. Terribly guilty. This was his fault. If he hadn't done the things he had done, Zack wouldn't be in this situation.
Every bit of his actions had brought him here, even his thoughts. "Sorry…" He muttered with whatever last breath of air he had left in his lungs, then he collapsed. It seemed as if though the black stuff on his wings had begun to infect his skin since black splotches of ink could be seen on his neck.

There was a low whistle that seem to come from everywhere. Then a male came out of his hiding spot with a grin on his face. "Looks like that one isn't going to make it." He commented as he analyzed the fallen angel. He then looked at Zack. "And who may you be?" He asked, standing up straight.

(I’m gonna be choppy for these next few weeks due to school wrapping up. Teachers are not being nice about it :[)

Zack stumbled with the weight of Caz, feeling a whimper rise in his throat like bile. Demons didn’t exactly whimper all the time, considering it showed immense weakness, but the absolute emotional turmoil of watching this Angel die seemed to wrench Zack’s heart.

He started at the new voice, his eyes big and afraid as he whimpered quietly to himself.
“Not-not gonna make it?” He repeated softly, almost child-like. “He has to. We came all this way, he said that you’d be able to help.” His big grey eyes almost pled to the other, desperation taking over his entire body and stealing what self-respect he had left. His heart thrummed wildly in his chest over the entire situation, and it felt as if the organ was trying to beat twice on behalf of Caz. This whole situation was so strange and foreign to him; his brain was struggling to even begin comprehending what would happen if Caz would end up dying like this.
