(Hey, so my internet has been wonky today and I took an unexpected hiatus over the weekend…. I'm popping in to apologize for not responding/giving you a heads up, and also let you know that I probs won't be on till tomorrow.)
(Ok. Thanks for the heads up. Hope your internet gets fixed.)
(Aight. We need some more plot, in what direction is this going, what plot points are we working towards, is there some kind of quest maybe?
Actually on that note does your girl have to complete some kind of initiation quest? Maybe she as to choose a guide and she chooses Sirus?)
(Fair enough. Well, your goal was originally to try to convince Gwen to come home at some point… don't really know where to go with your character’s choice, except for him maybe learning more about the tribe…
I liked your earlier idea of other bounty hunters trying to get the Princess too.
I admit I wasn't initially planning on an initiation quest but I can see that happening now… Oh! Maybe Corvin gets injured when the other hunters come so she has to chose someone else.)
(I like where this is going! Do you have any ideas for the quest?)
(Ummm… not at the moment, but I'm open to ideas.)
(OKAY QUEST IDEAS!)
(Possibly a find a rare critter and get a bit of antler/scale/fur? type thing?)
(Or maybe find some rare object? (Crystal from a cave, coin from a dragon hoard, fruit from a tree in a really hard to reach place?)
(obstacles like… idk… (have you watched Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure? it's like the second movie in the franchise and she has to cross this creepy bridge with like, tree/troll guardians and I'm thinking something like that maybe???)
(Other obstacles could be getting through really wacky weather patterns, (Severe storms?) and maybe maze caves? or possibly even a zone enchanted with various types of magic? Maybe one that would make Sirus' abilities go haywire?)
(OMG… I love all of that! The rare animal thing sounds more like an expert hunters quest… I think getting a well-guarded treasure is perfect!)
(I have seen that movie, though it has been a while… but some kind of guardian would be perfect. Maybe Gwen could end up having to fight them?)
(Wow! You are so creative with these ideas. Depending on how long we want the quest to go for, maybe we can use all of those obstacles.)
(Yeah, I feel like my strength is coming up with crazy amounts of drama, I just can't always put together the filler, or the actual story very well…)
(Take last nights adventures with the plot in my head. My characters are in a war. One of my longtime mains, a main secondary, and 2 out of 4 new randos fall through a time portal. Second guy I mentioned gets age reversal and nearly dies. He doesn't dies because first guy saves him but this is bad for reason I can't explain in tiny sentence and now Idefk wth is going on….)
(So, to keep us from getting confused, do you wanna pick out a chronological order to our quest plotline and everything leading up to it?)
(Totally understandable. Plus, the ”filler” content still needs to be somewhat engaging for the readers otherwise you might as well leave it out…)
(At least you can come up with some good plot points. The most I get is a wish list for only one of my characters… 😔)
(Sure! A timeline would be good to work with.)
(Yes it does, and I mean, just watching my characters trying to process the amount of crazy I put them through is pretty good filler, just… where to pt it in the timeline of crazy crap)
(Anyway, do you mind making the timeline? Organizing plot points is also not one of my strengths.)
(No, I don't mind. I’m not great at it either but I’ll try.)
(Sorry it took so long to get this up. Had to work and apparently, I take this a little too seriously. Wall of text incoming)
(Well, first I think that Sirius and Gwen should get to know each other a little better, with him observing how she does in the tribe and her having a couple sparring matches with other warriors as part of her training… maybe even a match with Sirius could be interesting. Then maybe a week or so after everyone has gotten used to Sirius being around then the other bounty hunters come and are much more destructive… Umm, as for the order of events for the quest, I was thinking once they leave the tribe, the first obstacle could be the crazy weather, then maybe the problems with his magic, followed by the maze then the Guardian. And I was thinking, for the enchanted maze, the further into it you go the more of your secrets and/or fears are revealed. How’s that sound?)
(The maze part is gonna be fun XD)
(And yes! I like this plan!)
(Yay! Glad you like it!)
(Can't wait to get started!)
(YAY!)
(Me too! It might wait till morning tho)
(That's fine. It's your turn to reply anyway… I can repost my last reply if you want me to.)
(That would be helpful, but yeah I probably won't write an actual reply tonite.)
(That's fine.)
Gwen sighed, trying to push the thoughts away, a small smile coming to her face at the change of topic. ”Yeah… I guess so. I mean, I just made it to the rank of hunter but I want to be a warrior. It’s already taken a lot of hard work but I enjoy it.” she said honestly.
"That's good." responded Sirus, his eyes trailing around the village as they walked.
The little village wasn't very grand in any way, just a bunch of large tents set up instead of houses. It was much more intimate with how friendly the people acted towards each other. Mostly because everyone knew each other since they were children excluding Gwen and Sirius.
Gwen’s tent was just ahead of them, with Corvin’s being nearby. It was easy enough to tell which was her’s as all the other homes had different symbols painted on. Hers had none.
Sirus noted this, and figured the symbols had special meaning to status of achievements in the tribe. It was quite likely that Gwen would evnetually add to her tent too, but for now his concern was whether or not to drag her back, which at this point was seeming to be a meaningless endeavour.
