Juliet laughed lightly, taking a step closer to him and reaching up to poke his cheek. "'And I never expected you to be so hot when you blushed.'" She repeated his words, smirking.
Juliet laughed lightly, taking a step closer to him and reaching up to poke his cheek. "'And I never expected you to be so hot when you blushed.'" She repeated his words, smirking.
Romeo flushed but grinned at her. "Copycat."
"Two can play at that game, Romeo." His name rolled easily off her tongue, and she winked at him.
Romeo grinned. "Well, Juliet, how well can you play at it?" He moved closer to her, a smirk on his face.
Juliet's cheeks darkened, but she didn't move away. "That depends."
"On what?" They were very close now. "What does it depend on, Juliet?"
Juliet took another step closer, practically closing any gap between them, causing her to have to tilt her head back. "On just what you're willing to do to win, Romeo. So tell me, what'll you do?" It was an offering, thinly veiled.
Romeo leaned his head down so that their lips were centimeters apart. "Why don't you tell me what I'll do? You seem to know."
Juliet's heart felt like it would beat straight out of her chest. "For the love of god, Romeo, just kiss me."
Romeo smirked. "I like teasing you." And he lowered his head and kissed her.
Juliet couldn't help letting out a surprised noise, but her arms snaked up around his neck, pulling him closer. She stood on her toes, damning her height.
Romeo pulled her closer, kissing her harder, moving his hands down to her waist.
Juliet was kissing a Montague. And not just any Montague, the Montague. And she was absolutely loving it.
Romeo didn't know what to think. He was kissing Juliet, the Capulet he had had a crush on for three years, and the one who was his age and supposed to be his enemy. The one who could make him blush just by being in his presence. And he never wanted to stop. His mind was pleasantly blank and he wanted to stay like this forever.
Juliet broke away from his lips a few moments later to breathe, and there was something slightly starstruck and dazed in her gaze as she looked up at him. She didn't want to let him go, or worry about their families, or even think about anything other than him right now.
Romeo almost chased after her lips when she pulled away. His heart was beating fast, and he was breathing heavily. He smirked slightly at her.
Juliet was quiet for a moment, and then she was smiling brightly. "Huh. You really do have some bite to chase that bark."
Romeo laughed. "Some? Some? Come one! I totally have more than that!"
Juliet shrugged, face scrunching up as she tilted her head just a bit, jokingly. "Eeehhh…."
Romeo rolled his eyes, a smile on his face. "I am so scary, can't you tell?"
"I wasn't talking scary, although that's a whole 'nother argument. I was talking about that flirting of yours." Juliet said, teasingly pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth.
Romeo pecked her on the lips. "Really? I had no idea?" He joked, looking down at her. "Also, I'm taller than you. Bet you had no idea." He was happy standing there with her in his arms, and was even willing to make stupid jokes just to stay. He tried hard not to pretend that his brother was downstairs.
"Sadly, I do have some idea. I just had to kiss you, despite the fact that you're, like, three feet taller than me." Juliet stuck out her tongue, well aware that he wasn't actually.
He raised an eyebrow. "You had to? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem to remember that you asked me to kiss you." He grinned and kissed her on the nose.
A light blush dusted her cheeks, but she laughed quietly. "Alright, you got me there. I'd like to know though, if I asked you to do it again, would you?"
