(Do you think that there should be a school dance or something, like the ball in the play?)

"That's a brilliant idea. I haven;t actually read the play, I'm in the process of reading it now, so you might have to help me out lmao))
(I get it. I haven't read it in so long, but I'll try my best on this.)
Romeo suddenly sat bolt upright. He had just had a great idea. The school dance was happening, and you had to wear masks. He could totally get Jason to hook them up, and he could spend one night with her and he wouldn't get in trouble with his or her family! He pulled out his phone and told Jason the plan.
Juliet blinked as a star fell across the sky, and she smiled. Closing her eyes, she made a wish. It was cheesy and childish, but she always did, and this time she needed her wish to come true. Her phone buzzed, and she picked it up to read a frantic text from her best friend, Anthony, about his outfit for the coming dance.
"Can you do it?" He asked Jason.
"Yeah, I can try It'll be hard, though."
Romeo grinned. "Thanks, man."
Juliet hadn't even thought about what to wear, which was odd for her. She wasn't sure how formal this was supposed to be, but she assumed that if it was a masquerade type thing, it would have to be somewhat formal. Her and Anthony went back and forth with ideas, spawning an argument about fall colors.
Romeo had no idea what to wear for the dance. Finally, he decided that he was probably just going to wear the first thing he saw. He would probably look awful, but he didn't care.
It didn't take long for them to help each other come up with ideas, and they decided to go out shopping together tomorrow. Juliet had to admit, she was kind of excited about the dance. She did wonder though, if Romeo would be going at all. He didn't really seem like the type, but..
Romeo fell asleep, and, as embarrassing and cliche as it sounds, he fell asleep and dreamed about the dance and Juliet.
He awoke the next morning with a huge smile on his face.
((Do we want to skip straight to the dance, or do you have something else you'd like to fill in before?))
Juliet had fallen asleep on the roof of the library, something she did a bit too often, and woke to Hoodie by Hey, Violet. It was the ringtone she had set for her mom, an inside joke after a major break up Juliet had been through. She answered the call, quickly letting her mom know she was fine, and made her way over to the fire escape on the side of the building.
(No, we can skip to then.)
Romeo glanced at himself in the mirror, making sure that he was unrecognizable before heading out the door.
Juliet's hair made her recognizable anywhere she went, so she didn't see much of a point in the mask she was wearing(https://www.pinterest.com/pin/458170962085424366/), but Anthony had insisted that it was perfect for her. After checking over her outfit in the mirror for anything out of place, she was satisfied.

Romeo put his mask on (https://gloimg.samcdn.com/S/pdm-provider-img/straight-product-img/20180113/T016833/T0168330252/source-img/150536-8405.jpg) and straightened his shirt. He didn't see the point of the fancy clothes, but whatever. (https://i.pinimg.com/474x/98/05/11/9805111616143f59f63aaa01ba1f529d–men-casual-casual-man-outfit.jpg)
Anthony practically drug her out to his bike, ten times more excited than she was. It was a bit of a struggle to twist up her dress enough for the ride, but Juliet managed it, and it didn't take them long to get to the school, the bike roaring into the parking lot.
"Which one is she?" Romeo asked Jason.
Juliet stepped off the bike, removing her helmet and quickly putting her mask back on as she laughed at a joke Anthony had told her. She reached over, patting the pockets of his suit jacket until she found a comb, using it to fix her hair.
"Right there," Jason said.
"Yeah, I saw her," Romeo said with an eye roll.
He looked at the girl while debating how he should go talk to her. He wasn't usually this shy, but… well… this was different.
"You got your sights on dancing with anyone in particular?" Anthony asked her with a grin, bumping her shoulder with his as he scanned the students in the room.
Juliet's mind went to Romeo, but she shoved that away just as quick as it had showed up. "Not really. I might just stick to the refreshment tables and eat. Isn't that what you're supposed to do at parties?" She asked jokingly, clasping her hands behind her back.
Romeo watched as Juliet went over to the refreshment table and hurried over too. He started piling a plate with snacks. He wanted an excuse to watch her while he could. Then he sighed. He should just get this over with. He walked over to her. "Want to dance?"
Juliet looked up from the cracker piled with shrimp she was in the process of shoving in her mouth, at a boy who looked oddly familiar. Holding up a finger for him to wait, she chewed quickly and swallowed. "Shit, sorry. Caught me at a horrible time. I'd love to dance though." She chuckled at herself, nodding.
Romeo snickered. "You're all right. I understand." He quickly shoved some food into his mouth and chewed. He swallowed too quickly and choked. He laughed once he recovered and held up his thumbs. "I'm brilliant at eating without choking. It's like one of my best talents."
Juliet laughed, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She wished she could place his voice, but the loud music and her memory made that pretty hard. "Indeed you are." She teased light heartedly. "What are some other talents of yours?"
He chuckled. "Well, I'm good at walking without falling over and acting casual around cute girls."
Her cheeks darkened a bit, visible just below where her mask ended. "Are you at least good at dancing?" She asked, a flirty undertone to her voice as she raised an eyebrow.
Romeo smirked, pleased at the reaction he had gotten from her. "Well, why don't you come find out?"
