He smiled. She really did think of everything. Her touch sent tingles down his arm, but he tried not to let it show. He sat down on the roof, legs dangling. "So, how long have you liked me?" He asked with a laugh.
He smiled. She really did think of everything. Her touch sent tingles down his arm, but he tried not to let it show. He sat down on the roof, legs dangling. "So, how long have you liked me?" He asked with a laugh.
She sat down next to him, a bit of distance between them as she took off her mask. "A…a while. A small crush type thing."
He raised an eyebrow. "Small? Wow, you're lucky. I wish mine was small. I fell for you hard almost three years ago. Do you know how hard it is to hide things like that from your family? I mean, I love them, but this family feud is going too far."
Juliet was blushing furiously, but focused on his last sentence. "I don't even know why we're fighting. There has to be a reason our families hate each other so much, but…"
"But you don't know?"
"I don't." She shook her head, fiddling with her necklace.
He sighed. "I wish we could find out. This overprotectiveness is killing me. I don't see why they can't just be like a normal family."
((Do you have an idea for it?))
"I'm going to ask." Juliet decided, looking determined. "Somebody has to know."
(Maybe their families used to be friends and then they were in a competition and both were super competitive, and one family beat the other?)
Romeo grinned. "Same. We could maybe ask together?"
((Sksksksk and it ruined the other family's business for a while, thus spawning even more hate? You kno what would be great, I just had an idea how to make it angstier))
Juliet looked over at Romeo, smiling as she leaned against him. "Together together, or just both of us ask?"
(Love it.)
He shrugged. "I don't care. What do you think?"
((So y'kno how her dad died, right? Well what if part of the feud is that the Capulets blame that on the Montagues, because they think the stress from trying to bring their business back up is what caused his death? I still haven't figured out how he died…))
"Maybe we should try separately." She said after a few moments of thought. "And then if we don't get an answer, we try together."
(Sure. Maybe he had cancer or something and died shortly after a huge argument, so everyone thought it was the Montagues.)
Romeo nodded. "Alright." He sighed deeply. "We'll have to go back to our normal interactions after this around other people," he said sadly. He looked at her and smirked. "I enjoyed this."
Juliet flushed pink, nodding. "Right. Normal interactions." She wasn't sure she wanted to though, not after tonight. But if they didn't, it could spell trouble for both of them. "I-I enjoyed tonight, too."
Romeo lay on his back and looked up at the stars. "You know, I never expected us to actually talk face-to-face like normal humans without insulting each other." He gave a sudden mischievous grin. "And I never expected you to be so hot when you blushed."
Juliet choked, hiding her now red face in her hands. *He just called you hot. Romeo just called you hot, holy shit. "I-I…huh?"
Romeo laughed. "See, you're blushing again."
"I-I don't k-know what you're t-talking about." Juliet stuttered, voice muffled by her hands.
Romeo stood up and walked over to her. He gently removed her hands from her face and smiled at her. "There. Don't cover up your pretty face, there's no need. It's just the two of us. No one will laugh at you."
"C-Casanova was pretty s-spot on." Juliet joked, looking up at him. Once she met his eyes, she couldn't force herself to look away, even as she lapsed back into silence.
Romeo grinned slightly. "Never been called that before, but I guess you're right. I am a flirt." He looked into her eyes. He could feel a spark between them. He was loving every minute he spent with her, but… their families.
Juliet stood slowly, eyes never leaving his. "A flirt, huh? You got anything to back up that confidence?"
Romeo shrugged. "I am a huge flirt, what are you talking about? Haven't you noticed?" He joked, looking up at her.
Juliet's mind flashed back to the other day, and his reaction when she had approached him and his friends at the park. She smirked, some of the bright color fading from her face. "I did notice you blushing furiously the other day at the park, when I spoke to you."
Romeo looked down, cheeks coloring, then back up into her eyes. "Like I said, I fell for you hard."
