"you can't sing? …. well, we all got to be bad at something," he said with a smile
"you can't sing? …. well, we all got to be bad at something," he said with a smile
She felt her face heat up. "What about you?"
"well besides baking……well I don't think this counts but I hate, absolutely hate horror movies and absolutely love romances….even the very cliche ones," he said in embarrassment
"I hate horror, too," she admitted shyly, making the dough look much better.
he chuckled "good, never going to watch one now," he leaned over her shoulder "magic I swear." he kissed her cheek and went back to making crepes
She blushed and continued to work.
(Time skip?)
(sure)
"Alright I got 24 done, how many more do we need?"
She looked slightly surprised. "That should be enough," she said, observing her work.
(She made the croissants, correct?)
(yep)
"I was kinda on a role, but alright. How many croissants can you make with that much dough?"
"Twelve," she answered, counting her work.
"yes that's enough." He placed the crepes on a plate and brought them to the table
She did the same with the croissants.
(…Adrien?)
(oh shoot I forgot about him…..)
"Love what time is it….?" he asked looking slightly horrified
She checked her phone. "It's seven thirty," she replied, then saw his face. "Gabriel, what's wrong?"
"I completely forgot about Adrien." he searched for his phone and dialed his son's number "Adrien, are you alright?"
(Should he be at Nino's or just in his room?)
(Nino's )
(Okay)
"Father? I'm fine. Why?" Adrien answered sleepily.
He breathed a sigh of relief "nothing, just checking up on you. We'll be there by 12. Tell Nino and his mom I say hi and thank you for having you over, I'll see you then.
"Alright. Thank you, Father," Adrien replied happily.
Nathalie looked more relaxed after hearing Gabriel's response. "So he's alright?"
He nodded "yeah he's fine." he looked thoughtfully at the phone, thinking about his son "he's happier lately…more than I've seen in years."
Nathalie nodded. "Yes, he does," she remarked.
He walked towards the oven and crouched down "10 minutes left?"
She glanced over at her abandoned sketchbook. Now would probably be a bad time…
he looked up for her "love?"
