North gathered M in her arms and sat with him, crying into his bloodstained sweater. "Please wake up M, I don't want to be alone, don't leave me."
North gathered M in her arms and sat with him, crying into his bloodstained sweater. "Please wake up M, I don't want to be alone, don't leave me."
His head drooped over her shoulder, and his long, black hair hung in clumps over his face. His eyes fluttered open feebly and he coughed gently.
"I– my chest…" He wheezed quietly.
North hurriedly set M back down and lifted his sweater up so she could see his chest. "Oh my god M…" (what's wrong with him??)
(There's trauma there, so basically it shows signs of like repeated strikes there, and there are a few cuts from a rock or something. Or the knife, either one. But they're not deep. The bruises and trauma are much worse.)
M closed his eyes again and stifled a cry of pain.
"Okay..okay…What should I do M?" She said, starting to panic.
"Basement. Small vile–" He cut off with a short gasp. "Deep red. Labeled 'For Emergencies."
"Okay. Just hold on please." North said, shifting into a bird and flying towards the mansion. She ran down to the basement and found the vile fairly quickly. She made it back to M and opened the bottle.
His breathing had grown shallower than it was a few moments before, and he didn't seem to notice her there.
North tilted his head up and poured the liquid into his mouth. (sry gtg)
(ok, will you be back?)
He opened his eyes and drew his head away from her hand. He shook his head and put it back down. "You pour it on the wounds." His voice was alarmingly faint.
(idk on and off i think)
"Oh ok." She said and poured the liquid over his chest, making sure to cover all of the cuts and markings.
(Ok)
He twitched occasionally with pain, but the wounds themselves didn't heal. He closed his eyes gently, still shivering.
(ok ill basically be on until like 10 or 11 maybe)
North set the bottle down and carefully slipped her arms under him and picked him up. It took quite a while because M was taller and heavier than her but she made it to the mansion and took him to the closest bedroom and set him down on the bed. She laid down next to him and wrapped her arms around his middle.
(Sweet)
M twitched in the sheets and groaned gently with pain. "what are you doing here?" He said faintly, opening his eyes a little to look at her.
She smiled up at him, "I'm laying next to you, hoping you'll get some sleep."
M twitched as if he was trying to move, groaned again and relaxed, barely. "Are you sure you don't have anything else to do? It's stupid trying to worry about an old man."
Yeah, like you had it coming, M.
"No, no just try to sleep please." She said quietly, closing her eyes.
M sighed gently through his nose and set his head down. "You try to get some sleep too."
North mumbled a quiet yes and fell asleep quickly.
It was the next morning. The birds of M's dimension twweeeeted like the little fake atrocities they are, and in the distance one could here geese honking at one another. M woke up first because of pain in his chest, but it wasn't nearly as bad, thanks to the small red vile and North's quick action.
North woke to the sound of birds and looked up at M, but it wasn't M. "Tyler?!" She gasped, jumping off of the bed. She suddenly felt herself falling. Images of Tyler flashed through her mind as she fell, faster, faster. The last day she saw him, his face streaked with tears. North's eyes opened to see her hand clenched tightly around M's shirt. The spot where her head was laying was wet with tears.
M looked sharply concerned. "Who's Tyler?" He propped himself up on his elbow to get a better look at her.
"My best friend.." She said softly, brushing her hair off her face.
He grabbed her shoulder and used her to sit up. He grinned at her. "What happened to him? You don't need to tell me if you don't want to." His hand suddenly jerked off of her shoulder, and he suddenly looked more reserved. "Sorry." He murmured.
"No it's ok. I've known Tyler all my life, he's been there for me through..everything. Then the day before I met you he told me he loved me and I..I..told him that I didn't like him like that but I would think about it. And now i'm here, and he probably thinks I left him." She ended her sentence with a sob and covered her face with her hands.
