(Hm… That could work, I guess. 🤷🏼♀️)
Devon’s smile didn’t waver as she nodded once and glanced down at her mug again. “Any time, Sebastian…”

(Should we skip?)
(I was wondering that, too… When to?)
(good question
What could we do that's not bumping into each other or play dates?)
(Hm… Maybe he gets into a fight and calls her? Would he do that in this one?)
(Probably not, because he doesn’t know her as well at this point)
(Plus he doesn’t have her number)
(Oh, right. Lol.
Um… He could come in to get coffee or something right before she goes on her break? So they’re talking while she makes his drink or something?)
(oh oh wait
he works at a car garage
maybe she has car problems and brings it in without knowing he'll be there?)
(That works! Should I start, or would you like to?)
Would you mind?)
(Sure!)
Devon sighed as she pulled into the parking lot of the mechanic’s. The check engine light in her car has come on the other day, and she had no idea why. Hopefully, it wouldn’t be something big and expensive… She couldn’t really afford that at the moment.
Sebastian wiped the sweat off his forehead, dusting his hands off. But just as soon as he had relaxed, someone was calling him again, and another car was pulling up to the shop….. he sighed and waited for them to come inside.
After she had parked and made sure to get all of her important items out of the vehicle, Devon made her way into the building. She hoped they could figure out what was wrong with it quickly. And that they knew of a good place she could get a rental car.
One of Sebastian's colleagues greeted Devon at the front desk, a practiced smile pinned to his face and a nametag reading 'Damian' to his shirt. "Hello, how can I help you today?"
Devon gave him a tiny smile and fiddled with her keys. “Um, my check engine light came on the other day, and I just wanted to get it checked out. I wasn’t sure if there was really anything wrong with it or not…”
"I'll get someone on the job," Damian told her politely, and unclipped a walkie-talkie from his belt. "Sebastian, Dimitri, come down to the front desk."
Devon froze at the name he said, blinking a couple of times in surprise. Did he just say… Sebastian? Oh…
Despite the fact that he’d expected her, Sebastian was still surprised to see Devon, standing at the front desk. “Hey,” he greeted, maneuvering past her. “Damian? Dimitri left early, Elena’s water broke.”
The other man gave a little shrug. “We’re short-staffed. Can you handle this one on your own?”
“Sebastian? H-hi… I had no idea you worked here,” Devon stuttered, fumbling with the strap of her purse.
Sebastian offered his superior a slight nod and a lift of his shoulders. When he turned to face Devon again, his features softened slightly. "Hey, Devon. Nice to see you."
“You too,” Devon agreed softly, giving him a small smile. “Should I show you to my car, then?”
Sebastian nodded, a slight smile tugging at his lips. "Sure, yeah. You can tell me what's wrong on the way."
“Sure. It’s just right over here,” Devon said with a nod before leading him out. “I’m not sure exactly what’s wrong, but the check engine light came on. I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong, and it shouldn’t be the oil because I just had it changed.”
(I…… know absolutely nothing about cars)
