its up to you to make sure I dont lose control ok? he said to the Spirit in the back of his head.
Turning to Soren he grasped his wristband causing it he shift to a ball of powerful chaotic energy. Holding it out it shifted to become a black, violet, and silver streaked blade. The blade had jagged edges, and was curved slightly.
"One, dont ever try to touch my sabre," said Arthur firmly. "The sabre is more or less the source of my chaos magic, but the magic is rare and can only be used by certain people. Anyone else who tries will be killed." He said it with dead seriousness.
"Second, let's see how you do against other kinds of dark energy." He lowered the Saber to his side and held out his left palm. "Chaoseae Blackflame!" The command created a pitch black flame in his palm. Arthur tried his best not to shy away from it, but even the thought of using it made him shudder.
"Ready?" He took a ready stance as if he was going to fight.
(Sorry this took so long. I have a youth meeting tonight and we had to go shopping.)
(Ah it's okay don't worry)
His heart pounded in his chest, he wasn't ready for anything, but it was too late to go back.
Don't touch the sabre, fight darkness with darkness….
Soren could still feel the churning in his core, he still had ahold of the shadows. He knew that he was going to have to force the shadows to hold back - he didn't want to end up killing Arthur. Reaching out to sides, shadows from the trees around them stretched and collected at his fingertips. A small cluster of darkness consumed each hand and he brought them together, causing them to merge into a twisting orb.
"I don't know how long I will have control for, so let's just see how it goes."
"Launch it at me" said Arthur firmly. "And don't worry about hurting me again, this time Im ready for you."
more like Im the one who's ready
shut it
"If you say so…"
Soren released the orb and it shot towards Arthur's feet, splitting into several strands that wove their way up and around his body.
Arthur summoned violet and silver flames to burn the shadows, coming out unfased. "Try harder!"
"I don't fight! I've no idea what to do!"
Keeping his eyes on Arthur, Soren forced the shadows to return to him. He held his hand out towards Arthur, rapidly sending long spikes towards him.
Arthur summoned a violet barrier. "Again" he said firmly. "And put some punch in it!"
He could feel the connecting waning in his core. No, I need to do this!
"Make me angry." he shouted to Arthur. "That's the only way."
"Come on whimp! Or would you rather i destroy you first!" Yelled Arthur tauntingly. His tone made it seem like he thought of Soren as a worthless coward, altho that was a big lie.
"You think that makes me angry, kid, i've heard those words before." he laughed, a natural reflex towards words that do actually hurt him. He could feel the connection grow again, but it was still too weak to do anything.
Arthur frowned, "you gotta learn to summon it withiut getting mad" he said carefully. "Try and block this!" He quickly created a violet aura whip and swung it at Soren.
He quickly raised his hand and a thick barrier appeared in front of him. "You're crazier than I thought, I like that." The connection was fading again, so maintaining the barrier was harder than he initially thought.
well no duh came the dry comment.
"Shut up will you?" Said Arthur in response to the voice before turning his attention to Soren. Focusing himself he summoned balls of silver and violet aura and launched them at Soren.
"Who are you telling to shut up?"
He watched the balls collide with his barrier. Judging from the cracks they made, the barrier was weak. The barrier is weak, I am weak…
"Nevermind" said Arthur as he launched another orb.
dont tell me youre afraid to tell him!
"I told you to shut up!" Said Arthur frustratedly.
stop that! a small whip of violet aura flicked Arthur's shoulder.
Arthur swore under his breath, rubbing the spot where the aura flicked him.
Soren didn't understand what was going on with Arthur, but he couldn't allow that to break what little focus he had. The next orb caused the barrier to disintegrate, but he quickly grasped ahold of the remaining shadows. He released them through the ground and they rose up like a windowless cage around Arthur.
Arthur swore. "Now look! You made me let my guard down!"
He raised his sabre and slashed through the bars, disintegrating the cage.
oh stop it. You have to learn to focus despite me
"Dont tell me you're trying to train me!" He whipped around and slashed at something behind him narrowly ducking an aura swipe.
I could have some fun with this…but will I?
Soren noticed that Arthur was distracted by something he couldn't see and decided to watch from the sidelines, willing the shadows to form a cage no matter how many times it was broken.
Arthur ignored the cage this time, slashing and swiping and parrying against an invisible attacker. "Stop it!" Yelled Arthur as he fought back against the Spirit.
your aim is weak came the firm reply, just as the spirit lauched a counter attack, knocking Arthur to the ground, wrapping him up in his own aura.
"Let me down!" Yelled Arthur "right now!"
not a chance laughed the spirit.
Seron watched silently, thoroughly confused. What the hell is going on…?
"I said let me down Discordion!!" Yelled Arthur furiously.
"Oh fine" a lower audible voice said it. Dropping Arthur to the ground as he did so.
"Jerk" said Arthur frustratedly.
(I guess I shouldve warned you that Arthur's pet Spirit friend has no sense of when is a good time to play around)
"I'm assuming that's some freaky spirit thing that just follows you around even though you'd rather it not?" he said after a while, sighing, realising he'd completely lost the connection in his core.
"I wouldn't say freaky…" said Arthur his eyes trained on Discordion, "More like an annoying companion, that I just happen to be unable to get rid of."
"Oh I'm annoying?" said Discordion wrapping more chaos aura up for an attack.
"Very" said Arthur, "If you're going to hang around either make yourself visible or disappear" he said firmly.
