(Not that weird, Skye's basically acting as a large guard dog.)
(Hmm, maybe skip to when they're all walking out?)
(Sure, you wanna start? Sorry for asking again, but I'm very horrible at starting.)
(dont worry bout it)
(Thanks, so, roleplay?)
Billy Lee Dunmire calmly walked back to his car with his son, both expressions unreadable. Alaric was lightly shoved nto the back seat, a thick layer of dust covering the inside of the window. Outside, the purple wolf faced the car.
'12:00 a m' He wrote on it.
Skye nodded imperceptably, before turning to follow his father back to their car, shifting as he got inside.
Alaric smiled sheepishly and bounced his leg the rest of the ride home. He knew as soon as he got out, that he'd need a nap, then his medicine, which he'd need to buy, there at the nearest pharmacy which was over on Junebug's territory.
Rick grabbed a twenty and left less than five minutes upon entering, just about falling down the stairs.
Skye waited until they got home, and after a debriefing he was allowed to wander the territory. Skye took off as fast as he could down the street, heading for the drugstore to get chocolate. I need something to eat, he thought.
Rick tensed as he approached the near end of his father's territory. It was then that he remembered that he'd forgotten to sleep. He also hadn't remembered if he'd eaten anything in the past twenty-four hours. Almost there. He promised himself.
(I think he's gonna pass out before he makes it there.)
(I think so too…)
Skye ended up wandering the rooftops again, watching for anything interesting.
Static framed his vision, but he could see the pharmacy! He knew he should not have left it so soon, but he was just so distracted with what had happened, he just..forgot. And then there was the cotton feeling, in his chest and fingertips, he swore he saw TV static. The pharmacy was so close, just a few more steps, but then, his knees. Alaric's eyes rolled backward, and his knees buckled from underneath him. I should've known.
Skye wandered out of another alley, nearer to the drug store. When he suddenly froze, Is that Alaric?! he suddenly started running crouched by the other's side. Shaking him gently he used a restorative spell. "Hey! Wake up!"
Alaric woke up and his first thought was, that's weird, I thought by now that I'd be kidnapped and in someone's trunk, with my hand hanging out the taillight. He was met with a face that simply wouldn't get out of his mind. He hated how he liked it. Then he was reminded of what was happening.
Rick sighed, and looked at Skye, "The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math." He sighed.
Skye sighed with relief, "For a minute there I thought you were dead…" he said. "What are you doing out here?"
"Ff– I need-" He pointed a wobbling finger at the pharmacy. Alaric lifted himself up onto his elbows and shook his head.
"Gimme a minute, I'm okay."
Skye watched him with concern. "I'm gonna assume you need something from the Pharmacy right?" he said, lifting the other up on his shoulder, "Come on"
"Just– wait, I can do this myself." He tried to shrug him off, though his walking made it seem like the ground was moving beneath him.
He made it to the front door and stumbled up to the counter. A pharmacist a bit older then them greeted Rick with a familiar smile.
"Wow, You actually came back." He nodded.
Skye let go, following him worriedly. Slipping inside behind him he waved to the pharmacist, watching Alaric carefully.
"Wise Cameron, give me what I need to banish the static from my eyes." Alaric weakly chuckled, moving his hands into fists in an attempt to warm them. At least the shaking had stopped.
"Here are your antidepressants, aaand Vitamin and Iron supplements." Cameron put two orange prescription bottles on the counter.
"Mhh." Alaric replied, scooping up the supplement container and tossing the other one into a bin, a carefully orchestrated and practiced maneuver.
"No curse of mine shall befall you from my dying breath." He added and nodded politely.
Skye watched in slight confusion. "So… no more passing out on the sidewalk right?" he asked.
"Nah, not for another month or so," Rick answered, walking backwards out the door and saying his final goodbyes to Cameron.
Cameron just sighed, "Come back soon, I won't see you around, Rick."
"Neither will I!" He sighed, defeated.
Skye blinked and followed him back out. "So… I know you know my secret…" he said.
"Hh- Yeah," Alaric tried to open the pill container, but his hands were numb. "Your 'secret.' That you tried so hard to keep, back at the diner."
"I'm not the one who is trying to keep it. I blame my father for that one. He has me under some very specific orders I physically can't disobey." he said sadly.
