sad cowboy
Alaric's first instinct was to back away when he approached, but he just stood, frowning and exhaled. His eyes traced the interior of the diner before meeting eyes with Skye. He nodded, "You know where to find me."
Alaric's first instinct was to back away when he approached, but he just stood, frowning and exhaled. His eyes traced the interior of the diner before meeting eyes with Skye. He nodded, "You know where to find me."
Skye nodded, suddenly freezing. "I-I have to go… I'm sorry.." he pushed his way out the door and started running, "Hopefully I'll see you again!" he called, a pang of fear in his chest as he climbed the first fire escape he could find all the way to the roof.
Alaric frowned as Skye pushed past him but said nothing. He looked down and saw where his knuckles had scratched the doorframe's lock. A single drop of his blood fell to the pavement in front of him, a single red flower blooming from it. He frowned, disgusted, then stomped on it and left.
Skye regreted leaving so suddenly, but it wasn't like he had a choice as he conjured the portal, safely out of sight. Stepping into it he came through back in his room. Though it felt more like a prison.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to go out late at night!" came at booming voice of Alzarez Junebug.
Skye winced. "Apologies." was all he said, refusing to meet the other's gaze.
(I think their dads should have a meeting, something about drug trade or something..)
Alaric was at a loss while walking home, the usual lookouts he chatted with noticed his furrowed brows and fidgeting hands. He felt as if he experienced something with too much sensory impact, and made a mental note to not forget to take his medicine when he got home. That is, if he had any left. Alaric wondered if Skye felt the same things as he.
(Yeah sounds good)
Skye winced as he was yelled at again. His dad was usually a nice man. If you didn't cross him. Unfortunately Skye had a tendency to toe the line. he knew that if worst came to worst his father would have last say, and that he was lucky to have the freedom he did.
Alaric walked all the way to the Big House, entering silently.
"Rick?" A muffled voice called. It was his father's no doubt but slurred with an unidentified substance in his system.
"My boy," Billy Lee called from the couch. Alaric turned to face him.
"Yeah, dad?"
"Bring me my bat, sonny."
He only handled his bat if he had business to attend to, so Alaric obeyed.
Skye sighed, flopping back on his bed, yawning he curled up to take a nap his dad having alerted him that they had a meeting with another crime boss. He didn't know which though. Unfortunately for him he also couldn't stop thinking about the boy he'd met earlier.
(oop one min)
(no worries!)
(sorry, just talkin wit dad)
Alaric crawled up onto the crumbling roof with cold, shaking hands, and a cigarette between his lips. They'd run out of his medicine, and he was trying to calculate how long before he'd start fading. If he was lucky, he could get through tomorrow with just a bit of dizziness, though it was a waiting game when it came to passing out. He watched his father and men pile down their creaky porch and onto the street, laughing, swearing and roughhousing.
(We gonna have their dads meet up for crime talk?)
Skye sighed, dozing off fitfully after awhile. He didn't mind his father's antics. Just the way that he didn't have any freedom.
(ye ye)
(Cool, sorry for the short response, I'm running outta ideas without giving everything away that I got going here.)
(where should they meet?)
(no worries, i have no idea w/ u doing lmao)
(Random warehouse in between both their territories? And bring Skye and Alaric along?)
(no worries, i have no idea w/ u doing lmao)
You'll see, It all has to do with the powers that Skye technically has, and I forgot to re add to the character sheet.
"Rick!" His dad called from below. Alaric's head snapped up instantly.
"Get your ass down here! You're coming!" He nodded and carefully made his way down.
Skye came to a few moment's later and headed down stairs, meeting the approving gaze of his father when he came down. "Take your other form when we get there." he said. leading them out to the car.
Alaric piled out of his Dad's rusty pickup truck and had to save himselffrom falling out of the door. Instead, he just walked slower and clenched his jaw. They approached the abandoned warehouse after seeing the other cars and headed inside. Two men stood guard outside.
Skye shifted to wolf form as he followed Alarez into the warehouse. He was large, too large to be a normal wolf. his fur was the same color as his hair, and his claws clicked on the wooden floors as he padded at his father's side.
