"Right, but…" Sebastian by no means didn't think Bryn could believe whatever he wanted, but it just didn't make sense. "Who made them, then?"
"Right, but…" Sebastian by no means didn't think Bryn could believe whatever he wanted, but it just didn't make sense. "Who made them, then?"
"Well the world wasn't just suddenly poofed into existence, it was like… soup. Everything was murky and mixed and bad, and then something mixed in the right way and it made Moloch– the first daemo. And then Moloch shaped the others in his image, and then they made demons, and earth for us to live on, and night to sleep in, and magic to protect ourselves with."
Sebastian nodded, understanding Bryn's perspective a lot better than he did CC's.
"Makes sense," he admitted. "And what does your religion have to say about us humans?"
Bryn pursed his lips at Sebastian's question, scootching a little closer like he was trying to hide from it. "Oh, it's nothing important, we don't have to talk about it. Let's talk about something different, like your theory! Yeah, tell me more about the… the big bang!" He seemed pleased to have remembered what it was called.
Sebastian saw right through Bryn, figuring it was just as bad as Christianity's idea of demons.
"Okay then… Basically, there was this huge explosion where everything was made. It's still going on, actually. Everything is getting pushed away from the center of the universe."
"Wow." Bryn tried to imagine that, a huge shockwave rippling all around, making the universe bigger and bigger every second. "So you think things are still happening out there? Like… the world's still growing?"
Sebastian nodded, but paused.
"Not so much growing, but stretching. Nothing new is being created, things are just still being pushed apart." He smiled, glad to be talking about this with his boyfriend. He was learning a lot, and he was sure his boyfriend was too.
Bryn seemed fascinated by the idea. "Oh!! Like… when you blow a bubble! It keeps getting bigger and bigger even though you don't have any more soap." He gave Sebastian a bright smile, pretty sure he'd just mastered that analogy.
Sebastian nodded, smiling at Bryn.
"Yeah! Hopefully, though, the universe won't pop." He chuckled a little, but he was happy for Bryn.
Bryn laughed. "That would be horrible, but the universe isn't made of soap." He frowned softly, realizing that with all he'd learned today he couldn't really be sure. "It's not, right?"
"No, Bryn, the universe isn't made of soap." Sebastian, when he saw Bryn's frow, kissed him. He hoped he wasn't confusing Bryn, but he knew he wasn't the most qualified for this.
Bryn kissed him back with a happy sound, tossing his arms around Sebastian's neck to pull him closer. This, at least, he understood. He could kiss his human until he was dizzy with it and still know what he was doing. "I'm just checking, there's a lot of new stuff I have to learn."
"Well, good thing I'm right here to help." Sebastian smiled brightly, arms around Bryn's waist. At least some things in life were simple.
Bryn smiled back at him, scootching closer. "Yeah, it's like I've got my own school right here in front of me."
Sebastian kissed Bryn again, holding him close.
"Well, I'm gonna teach you as much as I can."
Bryn giggled and kissed him back, knotting a hand in Sebastian's hair to yank him closer. "I hope I can teach you something too!"
Sebastian grinned.
"I'm sure you can," he said, so close their noses touched lightly.
Bryn rubbed his nose against Sebastian's with a soft smile. "Anything you wanna know?"
"Depends," Sebastian said. "How much are you willing to tell me?" He remembered how Bryn skirted the question about humans in his religion, and he didn't want to press too much.
"Everything." Bryn smiled at him brightly, leaning forward for a soft kiss. It's fun to talk to you, it makes me happy. So nothing's off limits. Yet."
"Okay then," Sebastian said, letting out a happy sound at the kiss.
"Hm… honestly, I… don't know much about demons in general. The teachers don't teach us much."
Bryn hummed. "Well that's not really an answer, honey. What do you wanna know about us?"
"That's just it, I want to know everything." Sebastian chuckled a little. "I wanna know where my boyfriend came from."
Bryn laughed and smacked his shoulder gently with a playful smile. "I can't just tell you everything, that's crazy. And I came from Hellicos, of course, that's where all demons are from."
Sebastian chuckled.
"I know, I know. I'm just curious." He kissed Bryn lightly, thinking about his next question. "So, what is Hellicos like?"
