(Me tooo T^T)
Fiel nodded. "That stone is his marker? I thought it might be. I didn't…..I didn't want to ask." He heard Lukas start to cry and instinctively put a hand on Lukas's head, stroking his hair the way he sometimes did with his sibling when they cried. "Hey….do you want to go back to the castle? I think we're done with the pond for a while."
Lukas took a shaky breath, “not- yet” he mutters, he knew he needed to collect himself before he could go back. Part of him wondered that while he was gone if he would be ok, he had talked to his brother every morning and to not do it…well he had not done that before and it worried him.
Fiel sat still, letting Lukas decide when to move. He wasn't sure what else to do—honestly he just wanted to help Lukas feel better. In the back of his mind, a growing worry about their upcoming journey tugged at him. "This…..changes things about our plan to go to my home, Lukas. I will be carrying you, of course, but I worry that if you pass out while we're over the ocean…..well, things could easily spiral out of control. Are you sure you're truly up for this?"
Lukas nodded, “I can control it, I think that just now, it was just…to much at once” he said with a small smile. He honestly didn’t want to move, but he figured he might be making Fiel uncomfortable so he pulled away from the hug.
As he sat back, Fiel anxiously studied Lukas's expression to make sure he was feeling at least a little better. "I'm glad to hear that. I promise we'll take it slow after this. I didn't understand as well before, but now I think I do…at least a little." He returned Lukas's smile cautiously. "So…..does that mean you still want to go? I would be overjoyed to show you my home, but not if it causes you pain and grief to get there."
“Yes, I still want to go” Lukas smiles and slowly stood up. “But we should probably get back now, I mean if we want to start getting ready to leave…plus I have things to write” he muttered the last part.
Fiel rose also, trying to brush off the mud from his once-clean clothes. "I think you're right. Oh…..I don't suppose you have a spare set of dry clothes, do you? I really did not bring enough for my stay here, it seems." He didn't quite catch what Lukas muttered, as he was busy collecting his jacket and boots from the treeline.
Lukas put his shoes back on, "yeah you can borrow some" He said plainly, struggling to get his boots on.
(I question myself on why I made his story so sad then I remember "great tragedy builds great character")
"Thank-you." Fiel tied his jacket around his waist and went over to Lukas. "Need any help?"
(lol that's true x'D One of the great struggles of being a writer lol)
Lukas blushed and just gave up trying with a sad nod.
Fiel smiled and knelt down, helping Lukas pull on his boots. "There you go. Ready?"
Lukas nodded, "Thanks" He said as he started leading the way back to the castle.
Fiel followed, wringing out the water from the hem of his shirt as he went. "I need to contact my family also, but that won't take long. We have a communication spell already set up, I just need uiet place to activate it."
"I mean, the place you will be left alone would be here or something, the castle is never quiet and so the forest or the gardens are your best bet" Lukas shrugged.
"Thank-you, I'll keep that in mind. Is it all right if I use the garden, then? I won't bother you if you'd like a bit of peace and quiet."
"You can go ahead, I don't mind" lukas smiled, as they entered the garden.
"All right." Fiel returned the smile and changed course, heading for a copse of willows for a little privacy while he contacted his family.
(last post for the night, seeya later ^^)
(night)
Lukas went to the stone and sat in front of it with a sigh.
(sorry, I'm multitasking hard rn ^^ I actually gotta go out for lunch next but I'll reply to both this and the other rp once I get back!)
It took Fiel several minutes to calm down enough to activate the spell. He was still wound-up and stressed from the morning's misadventure, and concentrating was difficult. But eventually he managed to clear his mind and establish a mental connection with his mother. It filled him with relief to hear her voice, and quickly he told her how things were going and his idea to take Lukas back with him. He left out a few details, not wanting to speak too ill of the king, or mention the memories and struggles Lukas had shared with him without gaining permission first. But even without this information, his mother happily agreed to his plan and said she'd send two of his siblings to meet them halfway as requested. Fiel thanked her, promised he'd be careful on the flight back, and said goodbye.
Leaving the trees, he went to find Lukas. "Lukas? Are you busy?" He didn't want to bother the prince if he was talking to his brother or wanted some quiet time.
Lukas looked over at Fiel and smiled, “no not at all” he had been talking to his brother, but only for a minute before he went back to being silent and just thinking. He had no idea why he was so adamant on learning to swim, maybe he just wanted to concur his fear, and having someone who was willing to help gave him the chance.
Fiel approached, trying to make his hair lie neatly in place as it dried. "I just spoke with my mother. She's arranging for someone to receive us after our trip. She says she's quite excited to meet you."
Lukas grinned, “I can’t wait.” He said referring to the trip, though he didn’t know exactly when the trip was going to be, it didn’t really matter.
"I can't wait either," Fiel confessed. "Your father said we can leave whenever we like, and I don't see much point in hanging around. Of course, once we have enough food and proper clothing. Speaking of which….." he tugged at his still-soaking shirt ruefully. "How about that dry outfit you were going to lend me?"
Lukas nodded standing up, “come on then,” he said grabbing Fiels arm and bringing him to his room.
Fiel followed willingly, grateful that they were both about the same size. "Tank-you I promise I'll return the clothes to you by tonight."
