He peeked up at him "would you let me? If I ever chose to make a contract with you, would you allow it?" he asked, eyes puffy and red." He gently clutched his shirt and looked away, not wanting to see the change in his eyes if he decided to say no.
"If that was really what you wanted, I would. Like hell I'd let someone claim you for eternity other than me." He knew why Logan wasn't looking at him and it hurt a little. He understood why, yes, but that didn't mean it hurt any less knowing Logan was scared.
He breathed a sigh of relief and nuzzled into his neck. "I wouldn't want to be anyone else except yours for the rest of eternity." he replied softly, pressing kiss to his cheek and brushing aside his hair
He smiled a little. "You know, it's not often that contractors actually fall in love with one of their bonded. Jay and Raz are a rare case but now they're getting married. They are the definition of 'defying the odds' right now." He chuckled.
he smiled softly, happy for his best friend. He hoped Jay and raz were safe, hoped that they were enjoying their time together. "maybe we can do the same some day." he said softly, blushing when he realized he had sad his thought out loud.
He blushed red and smiled. "I'd love nothing more than to marry you one day, my love." He kissed the top of his head softly.
he looked up and smile, scooting up higher so that they were leveled and started to pepper his face in kisses, lingering at his lips, cupping his cheek and stroking it gently with his thumb. "You're a beautiful creature, no matter what anyone says. YOu're beautiful, both on the inside and on the outside."
He shook his head gently. "No no no, love. You've got it all backwards. That's you. Gorgeous inside and out regardless of what the world may say."
He laughed softly and pressed a kiss to his nose "why must you always turn my compliments on me dear?" he shook his head adoringly and rested his head on his shoulder, lightly drawing circles on his chest
"Um, because it's true and you deserve it?" He answered like it was a dumb question that Logan should've already known. "Obviously."
Logan rolled his eyes and nudged his head affectionately. "Thank you love, you're far too kind but thank you either way." he said, glancing back at the tv and smiling at the scene that was playing
"Me? Kind? Oh no no no, you've got the wrong person. I'm just soft towards the one I love." He returned his attention to the screen before he could regret his words.
"At this point, that most of the people I know, darling." he replied, pressing up against him and sighing softly. He jumped slightly when his phone rang and reached over to grab it. Sitting up on top of jackson and listening to Jeremy.
"So they can't see us today?….I see…."
He turned his attention back to the screen although he was genuinely curious and a little worried as to what Logan was talking about. He had been so blood boilingly angry earlier that he wasn't totally sure about everything that happened in that cafe.
Lo nodded in silence for a few moments before taking a shaky breath "thanks Jer, please stay in touch in case anything comes up. Love you too, stay safe." He hung up the phone and ran a hand through his hair "this is a mess." he said, lying back down on Jackson's chest
He held Logan tight, kissing the top of his head. "I know it is, love. But we'll get through this together. He'll have to be either crazy, stupid, or crazy stupid to try something when you've got me here with you."
He laughed humorlessly "he wouldn't care." he said, glancing up at him and nudged his head affectionately "Thank you my love. but.." he bit his lips gently and flicked his gaze up to his "i don't want you hurt love."
He gave him a soft smile. "The last thing you have to worry about is me getting hurt. No matter what happens to me, I'll be fine. You still have time on your clock. Mine ran out years ago. I'm more worried about you getting hurt than anything else."
He sighed softly and stroked Jackson’s cheek “thank you darling. Thank you for protecting me. Form loving me. For showing me that I can love another again without having to worry about getting hurt.” He pressed his lips to Jackson’s. His mind was solely focused on his beloved no one else.
He would've spoken, said that it was his pleasure to keep him safe and love him but his words melted in his mouth when Logan kissed him. Nothing else mattered in that moment, it was just him and his love and he couldn't be happier.
The kiss was gentle, nothing too aggressive or rushed. He didn’t want want to hasten their love, didn’t want it to be like last time he had fallen in love.
He kept it nice and slow, not wanting to take a second of their lips being together for granted. His logic told him to reconsider all this but his heart which had been shut down and cold for over 10 years begged him to continue, to let this weary heart of his feel something again.
He pulled away slightly to breath, gazing up into Jackson’s eyes, mesmerized by him. “Please don’t leave me my love, I’m begging you, please don’t go.”
He wished he could say he'd never leave, that Logan would never have to say goodbye to him but he knew better than that. "I'll try my best to stay by your side but in the end, I may have to. It's a decision that's out of my control."
He swallowed hard and settled on his chest again, knowing that there was nothing could say to convince the other of staying with him. She started fidgeting with the sheets, needing something to distract himself from the thought of Jackson leaving him
