Jay stroked Jackson's hair as Jackson continued to mutter under his breath, chewing on his nail. Jay plucked Jackson's hand out of his mouth and set it on the couch. "Sleep, you weirdo. Rome wasn't built in a day." "But it was torn down in one." "Shut up. Sleep. Or I will knock out you and make you sleep."
(Shoot you make a good point with the rome thing….)
Logan had fallen silent, Raz glanced down at him, thinking that he had fallen asleep, but that was not the case.
“I’ll love him forever. No matter what happens.” Logan said, taking a deep breath and shutting his eyes and slowly drifting off.
“I know you will.” He murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to Logan’s brow and also drifting off
(Hehe I like using it because people never know the full saying)
Jackson rolled his eyes before falling asleep fitfully. Jay stroked his hair with a sigh. "I know the pain, but you just have to work through it. Fight for who you love."
Raz slowly awoke to a throbbing pain on his shoulder. He groaned softly and opened his eyes to find that Logan was lying on top of him. He dropped his head back into the pillow with a sigh. After a few minutes of contemplating whether he should shove him off the bed or just to his side, Raz decided the latter, poking Logan gently and nudging him off. “You’re heavy for a 149 pound caffeine e addict.” He grunted, sitting up and running a hand through his hair.
“And you’re comfortable, no wonder Jay wants you so badly.” Logan retorted with a grin, seeing Raz’ cheeks bloom with blush. “We’re not talking about that again.”
Logan laughed and sat up “why that was fun. I assume Jay heard that conversation too?”
Raz nodded “how’d you guess?”
He shrugged, “it’s not that ridiculous once you start to accept you friend’s fiancé and your boyfriend are demons from Hell. Plus you two always seem to be talking with actually talking.”
Jay didn't sleep that night. He couldn't. He simply watched over Jackson, stroking his hair until his wrist cramped up. He looked up at the sun streaming in the window with a hiss as his neck ached. It was worth it knowing he'd kept Jackson asleep but damn, continuously looking down like that had given him a serious crick in the neck.
He smiled when he heard Logan and Raz talking, glad to hear that Logan didn't sound quite as upset as he did the night before.
Raz nodded “yeah, you’re right. We have a telepathy thing. I think Jackson has it too.” Raz yawned and stood, stretching out his back and arms. You can’t avoid him forever.” He said, heading to the door. Logan sighed and nodded “I know.” He wrapped a blanket over himself for warmth and stood. “Never knew I’d love something more than coffee.”
Raz smiled softly and gently took his hand, guiding him out of the bedroom and to The living room
Jay looked up when he heard the two come out, pressing a finger to his lips. The last thing he needed was for Jackson to wake up and be back in his panic.
Jackson had a rough night so I'm trying to keep him asleep for as long as possible. He returned his attention to his friend, brushing loose strands of hair out of his face that had fallen during the night.
Both of them nodded. Raz Let Logan go and gently pressed a kiss to Jay’s lips, leaning into him momentarily before breaking away a bit. “Please tell you slept for a few hours at least.” He said, gently massaging his shoulders as he watched Jackson in worry. He glanced up as Logan slowly came over and sat in front of The couch, gently brushing a gentle hand along Jackson’s cheek.
Jay sighed, leaning gratefully into Raz's hands. "I would but then I'd be lying." He watched as Jackson flinched at the contact before nuzzling into it. "I didn't want to risk him waking up in a panic and doing something he'd regret. So I just watched over him, made sure to keep him calm."
Raz nodded “he seems to be doing alright now.” He murmured with a small smile, watching as Logan became entranced with Jackson even as he remained asleep.
Raz continued to massage Jay for a while, occasionally moving to his neck an direction shoulders then his temple. “At least they’re both more calm.”
"Yeah, that's good. I don't think he could handle it if he woke up with Logan still upset at him." He chuckled, leaning back to look up at Raz with a smile.
“I’ve never known him for staying upset for long, save for Xavier and not having Coffee.”
Logan turned to Raz and stuck out his tongue before focusing back on Jackson.
Raz laughed and glanced down at Jay “and to what do I owe this lovely early morning smile for, hm?”
"For being so pretty~" He hummed innocently. Jackson stirred in his lap, whining softly as his face contorted like he was having a nightmare.
Raz rolled his eyes with a smile, pressing a kiss to his nose “you need sleep dear.” He took a deep breath And headed to the kitchen to start breakfast.
Logan’s brow creased in worry. “Hon, you’re safe.” He whispered, pressing their heads together.
Jay whined dramatically as Raz left, pouting before turning back to Jackson and Logan.
Jackson continued to whimper, turning to dig his face into Jay's lap like he was trying to escape it.
Logan sighed softly and pressed a gentle kiss to Jackson’s brow. “Imma go help Raz with breakfast.” He said softly, standing and going to the kitchen.
Raz offered a small smile and some coffee “don’t worry, it’s leftovers from yesterday, I didn’t make it.”
Jay simply nodded, before turning to try and calm Jackson back down. Was this really just a nightmare or could it be another one of Jackson's night terrors?
Logan started on the inlet while Raz made the sausage links and toast, covering with garlic to make garlic bread instead of just butter. He also started some hot chocolate as well.
“Did I over react?” He asked softly
Raz shrugged “no, I think I reacted worse when jay told me he was leaving. It’s understandable Lo.”
Jackson shot up with a small scream, panting and shaking while his face was white as a ghost. Jay gently rested a hand on his shoulder. "Jackson? Buddy, breathe. You're okay. You're safe."
Both Raz Andy Logan turned at the small scream and peeked out of the kitchen. “I’d say good morning but I don’t think that applies.” Raz said with small sigh. Logan offered a small smile but couldn’t bring himself to approach Jackson.
Jackson practically launched himself into Jay's arms, broken sobs escaping his trembling lips. Jay just held him tight, stroking his hair as he tried to calm him down.
The two went back to making breakfast, hoping that something warm and filling would ease the tension they all felt.
“You’ll need to talk to him.” Raz said softly
Logan took a deep breath and nodded “I know. But not when he’s already so anxious.”
Jackson continued to sob, choked out phrases of "Please believe me…" and "Don't leave me…" with no context being whimpered. Jay just held him, still trying to get him to calm down. I think he had a nightmare about Logan…
Raz nodded slightly as he prepared the food and gently nudged Logan, jerking his chin back to the living room. Logan shook his head, trying his best to hold in his own sobs. “i can’t Raz. I’m not forcing him to stay here. It’s too painful for the both of us so why try to change his mind?”
Raz took a wavering breath and forced Logan to look at him. “Because you clearly have something between you that you know will never happen again.”
Logan whispered softly and glanced back at Jackson “he won’t even look at me…”
Raz shrugged, hating to be so harsh but knowing they both needed it. “Make him look at you. Fight for it.” Raz let him go and nudged him again towards the living room
Jackson was starting to calm down and Jay breathed a quiet sigh of relief. I've done what I can. But he needs Logan. He looked over at the two in the kitchen. Logan was going to have to be the one to reach out because Jackson was far too scared to do so and risk screwing things up.
