Logan shook his head. "Of course not. But it would still be something most people would worry about." He shrugged slightly.
Logan shook his head. "Of course not. But it would still be something most people would worry about." He shrugged slightly.
“You forget I’m an idiot,” Allie said with a smirk. A very nervous idiot. His assertion that he wasn’t going to kill her didn’t make her instantly believe him, even if she wanted to. She doubted that if he did want to kill her that he’d just admit to it like that.
Logan laughed softly, and reached over to ruffle her hair. "Mm. Only a little bit." He said, holding up his other hand with his fingers pinched together.
She smiled. “More like a lot a bit,” she joked. It was getting harder to come up with a coherent thought the closer he got to her. She shouldn’t be attracted to him; she had to stay alert! Then again, in her current state it wasn’t as if there was much she could really do.
He smiled, looking down at her. "Mm. If you say so." He replied with a shrug.
“Why didn’t you leave me when I started coughing?” Allie asked suddenly, overcome with curiosity. “It was the perfect opportunity for you to escape without me being able to do anything. You could’ve just ran off and left me to fend for myself.”
Logan frowned. "Because…why would I?" He asked slowly. "And…if aliens are the ones bringing it to Earth, then I might be the one that infected you. I don't want to…" He shook his head slightly.
Allie bit her lip. What if it was his fault she was sick? There wasn’t anything he do now, seeing as she was already infected. “So you stayed because you felt sorry for me?” she asked softly, her expression going a bit vitriolic.
Logan frowned slightly. "No! I…" He sighed. "I don't know why I stayed. Do you want me to leave?" He stood up. "Because if that's what this is, I will."
“Don’t leave.” The words were out of her mouth before she could stop them. Her face reddened slightly. “I didn’t mean it like that. I just…wondered why you’d stick around when you get nothing out of it.”
He sat back down, looking at her for a long moment. "Alright." He replied simply. "I believe you." He shrugged slightly.
Allie sighed. “What should we do while we wait for the pills?” she asked, knowing they couldn’t do anything very exciting. The idea of Logan possibly wanting to kill her was still in the back of her mind.
He shrugged again. "Uhm…sleep." he replied, dead pan, then sighed. "How should I know? I don't have a preference."
Allie rolled her eyes. “Helpful.” She scanned the room. “We could play a game? I’m a bit tired of twenty questions and I’m not sleepy right now either.”
Logan laughed softly. "Alright. What kind of game?" he asked. "Cards again? Or we could see if there are any board games hidden around here somewhere?"
“Board games sound good, if you can find one somewhere,” Allie commented. “It’s been ages since I’ve played Chutes and Ladders or Candyland or Clue.”
He nodded, and stood up. "Alright, I'll go look." he left the room, looking through all the cupboards in the house. He hummed as he did so.
Allie waited for him, coughing quite a bit before returning to normal. She daydreamed.
Logan kept looking, still humming softly as he looked.
Allie’s daydreams continued, keeping her occupied while Logan was looking. She definitely staring into space right now.
Logan kept looking. He had found a few games and tucked them under his arm as he looked.
Allie hoped he’d be back soon as she was getting kind of bored. She wasn’t exactly the most patient person.
Logan came back after a few minutes, dumping a bunch of games down on the bed. "Here." He said with a smile.
“Oh my gosh you found some!” she cheered, scanning them. “Which one do you want to play? Clue is always a good choice, but the one about curses looks fun too.”
"Clue requires at least three people." He replied slowly. "I don't have a preference, though. It's up to you." He smiled lightly, spreading out the games.
