"Calm the fuck down," Alex took a step forward, eyes narrowing, "I'm guessing you don't know about what you can do? I can sense it now that I have some control over my own head."

Kai retreated a step when Alex stepped forward, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "I don't know what the fuck you're talking about." he replied, lips pressed in a thin line.

"Really? Are you completely sure? You haven't done anything… strange recently?" He crossed his arms.

"Other than bring you home, no." Kai replied, looking at Alex.

Alex raised a brow, "Seriously? Normally people like you know about their powers by now."

Kai blinked slowly, eyes narrowing. "People like me?" He asked, crossing his arms and looking at Alex as if he were insane.

(So Alex’s world is falling apart due to a man named Hyra trying to take over. Basically Alex need’s Kai’s help to take him down as Kai’s powers are strong enough to do so)

“Yes, people like you. People with abilities like yours.” Alex replied, rolling his eyes.

Kai frowned slightly, arms still crossed. "I don't…have any abilities." He replied slowly, backing up a step.

"You do, I can sense them," He leaned to one side slightly, tilting his head, "I'm surprised you don't know yourself."

"You don't know fuck-all about me." Kai retorted, locking his arms tighter across his chest.

"You're right there, but you're not like other people your age, I can feel it, I know it. If you tried you could do something."

"What, are we in some sort of cheesy movie now?" He arched an eyebrow. "Luke, you are the chosen one who must bring balance to the Force."

Alex sighed, "What even… doesn't matter, what matters is that I know you can do something, and it's worrying you don't know you can."

Kai watched him for a long, long moment, eyes narrowed still. "Even if, hypothetically speaking, you're right, what in the world do you expect me to be able to do?"

Alex leaned backwards just slightly, "I don't know. People's powers vary depending on the person, genetics, family history and such."

Kai sighed. "Oh, lovely." He mumbled, sitting down on the bed and raking a hand through his hair.

He crossed his arms, beginning to pass back and forth, "Look, I know you don't believe me, but it's true, okay? And I need your help."

"Why do you need my help?" Kai asked, fidgeting with the sleeve of his sweater. "Can't somebody else help you?"

"No one else I know can do the things you can supposedly do," He deadpanned, "Not in a universe that's close to this one, at least."

Kai was quiet for a long moment, then said, "Universe?" He fidgeted with his sleeve again, not looking at Alex.

"Yes universe. Did you really think there was only one universe out there?" He shook his head, "There's loads, all back to back, just a jump across the void away."

"W-well yeah, I know that, but…" Kai didn't look up. "Wait, what do you mean by "jump across the void"?"

"I mean exactly what I said," Alex sighed, "I'm a World Walker. I have the ability to jump between the void and into other universes like your own."

Kai let out a tiny whimpering sound, just for a moment. "You're crazy." He said again, staring at Alex still.
