"'Cause then you might not be as straight as you think you are," Ava hinted not-so-subtly.
"'Cause then you might not be as straight as you think you are," Ava hinted not-so-subtly.
Blue blinked, brows furrowing as she thought. "So?"
"So…" Ava sighed. "Turn left up here."
Blue nodded, making the turn. "I can't-I don' know how the coven would take it."
Ava wrinkled her nose. "What?"
"Me, not being straight." Blue said, her voice quieting. "So I'm avoiding worryin' about that."
(Um…?)
((?))
(What's that…?)
((Oh! She refers to her family as 'the coven', because she lives with a large group of women, not all of whom she's related to by blood))
(Ooooooh, okie!)
Ava looked out the window. "Don't worry about it." Stupid, stupid, stupid, she thought to herself.
Blue sighed, shoulders relaxing as she slumped in the seat. Why does her letting it go make me feel like shit?
"Right," Ava mumbled. "The turn. Turn right."
Blue nodded wordlessly, unable to make herself look at Ava.
"Sick." Blue said, pulling up alongside the curb to park. She leaned over Ava to dig through the glove box, muttering about organization.
Shit shit fuck shit… Ava resisted the strong urge to pull Blue into her lap and kiss her then and there. God, get a hold of yourself…
"How the hell did that even get in here…?" Blue's eyebrows drew together in concentration and slight confusion, before her hand finally made contact with what felt like the empty coolant bottle she kept spare cash in.
She cleared her throat and spoke in a quiet voice. "Need any help, babe?"
"I'm having issues." She admitted, making a face. It was when she looked up at Ava that she realized just how close they were, causing her face to warm.
Ava regained as much of herself as she could and smirked. “Something wrong, babe?” she purred silkily.
"The-the money." Blue said, trying to regain some composure. Her lips look soft…
"Need me to help?" Ava asked, leaning a bit closer. She didn't break eye contact with Blue as she leaned closer and felt for the glove box with her free hand.
"It'd b-be appreciated." Blue stuttered, her voice low. She kept her eyes on Ava's, trying incredibly hard not to let her gaze flicker down to her lips.
Ava's fingers blindly found the glove box and slipped inside. Her eyes stayed intensely locked with Blue's. She felt the jar, but with the very tip of her finger. Which meant she would have to lean just a bit closer…
