I stifled a laugh, settling on a lazy smile. “My Plan is finally working. I came to kill you with my flirting.” I said dryly, grabbing my water bottle and holding it out for her to take.
I stifled a laugh, settling on a lazy smile. “My Plan is finally working. I came to kill you with my flirting.” I said dryly, grabbing my water bottle and holding it out for her to take.
I shook my head, beating first against the centre of my chest until the whole thing went down. “Shut up—“
“Or you’ll break my phone?” I teased, setting down my water.
“Or I’ll snap your wrist,” I answered, biting the inside of one of my flushed cheeks.
“For the record, the more you threaten, the more you prove my point.” I chuckled, watching her blush.
I propped my elbows up on my knees, burying my face in my hands. “Oh, come on…”
Satisfaction made its way through me as I quietly watched Marina. It seemed I had successfully diverted any anxiety attack. “Alright, I’ll stop for now so you don’t have a heart attack.”
“You’re not allowed to do that,” I muttered into my hands. “I blush way too easily for you to be doing this.”
(Okay, great, now what's left is a kiss. (:
(XD)
“You’re not the only one.” I held back a laugh. “Girls get like this around me a lot.”
(Morning)
“It’s a good thing that I don’t particularly like you, then,” I answered as evenly as possible, kicking his shin with the heel of my boot.
(Hi! Happy Friday!)
I winced as she kicked me. “Yeah, your red face is saying something else.” I teased, rubbing my leg.
(Finally oml I love Fridays)
“I blush at everything, goddammit.” Naturally, I kicked him again. “I’d probably blush if Matteo said I looked decent.”
(MY. GOSH. KISS!!!!)
“Decent? You look stunning. Like a sunset’s rays on a frozen lake.” I spoke with as much conviction as I could summon, determined to keep her face red as punishment for kicking me.
And suddenly, anger was flooding my senses. “Don’t say that,” I spat, my capricious mood making the switch between relaxed and guarded in barely an instant. “Don’t say that, it’s not true. You’re just trying to embarrass me, and I don’t like it when people lie about things like that.”
“Maybe you shouldn’t assume what I mean by the basic connotations of the words I’m using.” I teased, unaffected by her sudden anger. “Stunning, as in likely to stun me. Because you keep kicking me, which I don’t appreciate.” I paused, determined to sound confident through my bs. “And have you ever seen a sunset on a frozen lake? The whole thing turns red before the light finally fades. It looks dangerous.” I finished smoothly.
“Bullshit,” I forced out through gritted teeth, strands of dirty blonde hair curtaining my face. “Dangerous, my ass.”
“I guess you’re right. Too cute to be dangerous.” I rolled my eyes.
“If I recall correctly, I’m the one blackmailing you,” I answered without missing a beat. “So I’m not sure ‘cute’ is the right word.”
“What word do you suggest then?” I raised my gaze to the sky, watching a passing cloud.
"I don't know." Shrugging tensely, I reached into the bag for another caramel.
“You’re really bad at relaxing.” I snorted, still looking at the sky. I stuck my hand in the bag without looking, but froze as my hand touched hers, my face going beet red.
"Screw you—" My whole body froze. Eyes latching onto his hand, which was nearly engulfing mine in an accidental hold, I inhaled sharply. But, strangely…. I found myself unable to pull away.
