I grabbed onto her backpack strap. “Give me my phone back before I beat you black and blue, Capulet.” I hissed, fury making my blood boil.
I grabbed onto her backpack strap. “Give me my phone back before I beat you black and blue, Capulet.” I hissed, fury making my blood boil.
“If you beat me black and blue, you won’t find out where I hid your phone,” I pointed out calmly, pulling myself from his hold and continuing on my way.
“Fine! You win. Please! Please give me my phone back.” I dashed in front of her, frantically trying to bar her from leaving.
“Nope,” I said happily, ducking under one of his arms. “This is fun.”
“I’ll do whatever you want, okay? I need my phone back. I’ll never bother you again!” I raced in front of her again, walking backwards to keep pace with her.
I just shrugged loosely, barely suppressing my glee. “Maybe~”
“Maybe? God, what do you want from me?! I know you’re thinking of something, already. Just— don’t even ask. The answer is yes. Phone back. I need my phone back.” I rambled, growing more and more nervous as we drew closer to the doors.
I raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at my lips. “The answer is yes? Well, in that case, I guess you have to feed me information from Rafael until I’m happy enough to give your phone back.”
My eyes widened in shock. “You’re going to get us both killed.” I couldn’t even begin to wrap my head around this. “Rafael doesn’t even talk to me unless he’s handing me a mission.” I protested, chewing my lip.
“Well, then, get our stupid friend to help you.” I shrugged loosely. “I don’t care how you get it, just give it to me with proof that it’s acurate and not a forgery.”
“What kind of information do you want?” I glared helplessly at her.
“Anything you can give me,” I replied smoothly. “Schedules, mission timelines, makes of none associates…”
“Fine, whatever.” I snarked, growing rather grumpy about the situation.
(I’m exhausted so I think I’m gonna head to bed. Night Topaz!)
(Good night, sleep well!)
“Great.” Flashing a grin, I pushed past him and out into the courtyard.
I groaned quietly, muttering curses under my breath. After this there was no way I was dealing with a detention. I just couldn’t. So I silently trailed after Marina, keeping my distance.
(Morning!)
(G’morning, how’re you?)
I cast him an amused look over my shoulder. “Are you just going to follow me the whole way home?”
(Tired, but doing okay. I love Marina so much XD)
“I have to go the same way.” I snapped in reply, agitated by the situation. “Wouldn’t be near you if I didn’t have to be.”
(Thanks :)
I love Mercutio!)
Marina snorted. “You live on the opposite side of the school from me, smart one. If you’re hoping to figure out where I have your phone, you’re wasting your time.”
“Please just give it back. Just… take the battery out or something.” I grumbled, still trailing after her.
(Lol Thanks! How’re you today?)
(T i r e d
Lol)
“Nah, don’t feel like it,” I answered without missing a beat. “And it’s fun to watch you get so anxious about this.”
“I’ll tell Rafael you stole my phone.” I threatened, glaring at Marina. I wasn’t actually going to. I’d get in way too much trouble, but it was worth a try.
"Bullshit," I laughed, pushing back my hair. "You're a liar, Mercutio."
“Try me.” I shot back, glowering at her. “I’ll do it. Rafael will raise hell when he hears you want information. You’ll be dead in a week tops.”
"And you still won't have your phone back~"
The key was not to show weakness. If I could convince him of how assured I was and call his bluff, he'd be absolutely powerless. Then, I'd strike.
