"Thank you, thank you." He grinned back at her. "Please, please hold the applause." He chuckled at his own joke. "glad to hear it princess."
"Thank you, thank you." He grinned back at her. "Please, please hold the applause." He chuckled at his own joke. "glad to hear it princess."
Hannah laughed with him, shaking her head slightly, at his comedic response. “Why’d you call me that?” she asked. Even in the short time they had known each other, she would admit she was growing used to his apparent habit of doling out nicknames for her but this one… She didn't understand how it fit her.
He shrugged, "You just seem like you got all the right things to be a princess, I'm almost waiting for you to start singing and birds to swarm the mall." He chuckled, waiting for her to go first down the escalator.
“Oh, that kind of princess. Well, I can sing but I assure you that I'm not that kind of person.” she smiled, a little ruefully before going up to the escalator. She sat down on her tray again and braced herself for the ride down.
"Oh really? You can sing? Do you wanna sing something for me princess?" He grinned at her, watching as she got on the tray. "Readdddyyy? Go!" He shoved her.
Hannah didn't even have a chance to respond to his question about singing, letting out a scream as he pushed her. Though that quickly dissolved into laughter before she reached the bottom. “You jerk!” she called out as she slowed to a stop and got up.
He chuckled, "It got you going didn't it?" He joked, yelling at her on the way down, he turned and saw mall cops and well he jumped on the metal area with his tray and slid down it while the cops fought there way down the escalator and he jumped off, moving to grab her wrist and pull her out of the mall.
She laughed, nodding a little at his reasoning before she saw the security guards behind him. She couldn't help but feel a little guilty about them showing up since it had been her idea to go for a second ride… But fortunately, she didn't have time to dwell on that train of thought as Kaz gripped her arm and pulled her along, encouraging to start running herself.
He ran with her out of the door and threw the parking lot and then he let go of her wrist to dig for his keys, he moved to unlock the car and drive off as soon as she got in and shut the door behind her, he chuckled as they drove off.
Hannah was… a bit frazzled as they made their way, quickly, to the car. She understood what she did and why they had to run but the whole experience was… “Wow.” she breathed as Kaz drove away from the mall before giggling at everything that had just happened.
He chuckled a little bit himself as he heard her giggling.
"You enjoy the rush?" He half jokes looking at her from the side as he drove the street, moving to slow down to stop at the red light.
Hannah giggled again and nodded. “I think so. My head’s still spinning and my heart feels like it's going to beat out of my chest.” she admitted, smiling over at him. “That was so wild.”
He chuckled as he listened to her, "Well princess I'm glad you enjoyed it, I wasn't sure if you would at first but I now see I was totally wrong." He looked at the red light turning green and he took a right turn. "Do you want lunch?"
“I wasn't sure either.” she pointed out, still smiling at him. “Lunch sounds like a good idea. Nothing crazy this time?” she teased.
"Nothing crazy this time." He grinned at her moving to just keep driving straight as stores passed them and he seemed to just pull in to a small area.
“Alright.” she smiled back, leaning against her seat as she watched the trees and buildings pass. “Where are we going?”
"Just a simple little hole in the wall kinds place." He pulled into the parking lot of the waffle house, moving to park. "you like breakfast foods?"
She raised a brow at the building but nodded. “Actually, I do.” she smiled, waiting for him to stop the car before getting out.
He stopped the car and parked it, before moving to get out and locking it when she left.
She smiled a little as she exited the car and walked up to the building with him. “Do you come here often?”
He shrugged walking towards the waffle house. "Not exactly, it's not my favorite place but it's not bad." He held the door open for her.
She nodded a little, accepting the answer, and smiled at his chivalrous act as she walked inside. “Thank you.”
He shut the door behind them as he walked in and walked over to a booth and sat down with her.
She smiled a little as she looked around the building. It had been a while since she'd had the chance to go to a restaurant. Her parents were so focused on her education that they didn't often make time to let her enjoy herself.
He watched her expression as she walked in before simply waiting for her to sit down across from him, as the waiter gave them menus and then left to other tables.
Hannah thanked the waiter as she sat down and looked at the menu. “This is so cozy.” she smiled at Kaz.
"Yeah it's not so bad, it's a good place to eat. However just so you know it's not really famous for its pancakes or waffles. I'd try one of there savory dishes."
She raised a brow slightly but nodded as she picked up her menu. “Alright. But it seems a little ironic that a waffle house isn’t famous for its waffles.” she smiled.
"Oh yeah totally, but what are you going to do about it am I right? I think they should change it to the breakfast house or something, so people know they don't do specialty waffles and then leave disappointed when they find out they don't."
“That would make more sense.” she agreed. “But, yeah, there's not much we can really do.” she shrugged, looking back at the menu.
