The teacher finally woke up to dismiss them out into their weekend. "Uh, you can go. Times up." He got up and dusted himself off.
Kazuya got up from his seat and stretched out his arms.
"Time already huh?"

“Seems like it.” Hannah answered in both relief and dread as she packed her books and papers away.

"Do you…would you want to get ice cream before you have to head home?"

Hannah blinked at the offer before nodding as she adjusted her backpack with a soft smile. “Ice cream sounds great.”

He smiled back at her, "uh, great thanks- I mean, let's go." He chuckled a little bit hand on his neck as he grabbed his bag and moved to leave the room.

Hannah giggled a little, finding his briefly flustered moment cute, and followed him out of the detention room. “Lead the way, Kaz.”

He moved to walk her all the way to the ice cream store, making sure to keep talking the entire time so she wouldn't be bored on the way there and it wouldn't be silent.

Hannah was glad of the conversation since it gave her a better chance to get to know him more. And it was a very nice change of pace from the number of times she'd walked on her own.

He moved to open the door for her when they got there, smiling at her as he did so. “Milady”he joked, chuckling a little bit.

Hannah giggled, blushing softly, at his teasing tone and walked inside. “Thank you, kind sir.” she said, matching his humor.

"Your very welcome." He went inside after her, shutting the door behind him. He looked around, greeted by the smell of ice cream cones being made in the back.

She smiled as she stood beside him and took in the warm, friendly atmosphere. “Have you been here before?” she asked, looking around.

"Maybe once or twice before yeah, it's a nice enough place to go after school." He moved forward to look at the ice cream flavors.

“Certainly seems like it.” she agreed as an attendant walked out of a back room.

“Oh, hello. I hope you haven't been waiting long.” he greeted, walking to the counter.

"Oh we just got here so no worries." He nods.

“Alright.” he smiled. “What can I get for you two?”

"Hm…what would you suggest we get?"

The attendant chuckled a little and shrugged. “Well, we have quite a few options. What flavors do you kids like?”

"Uhh, I'm a chocolate guy myself but i like to mix it up sometimes."

“Alright. Well, if you like chocolate we have a few options.” he smiled. “We have classic Rocky Road, Oreo Brownie Fudge, or a chocolate caramel swirl.”

"I'm thinking chocolate caramel swirl today, one scoop please. In a waffle cone."

“Good choice.” the attendant nodded before turning to Hannah. “And for you, miss?”

“I’ll have one scoop of the strawberries and cream, please.” she answered, fairly sure that Kaz would get a laugh out of her choice. “In a waffle cone for me as well.”

"Strawberry girl huh? I'm not surprised if I'm being honest."
He moved to pay for it as he got his cone in hand, licking the ice cream.

Hannah shrugged, blushing a little. “They're really good. Especially in ice cream.” she said simply as she reached for her purse.
