Hannah cleared her throat again and lightly tapped her pencil against her desk. “I have.” she nodded. “But I didn't notice anything. Are you sure you didn't dream it?” she offered, trying to distract him.
Hannah cleared her throat again and lightly tapped her pencil against her desk. “I have.” she nodded. “But I didn't notice anything. Are you sure you didn't dream it?” she offered, trying to distract him.
"Well i- maybe? I'm not sure at this point." He muttered, not at all confident if he dreamt it or not.
"Huh, I guess I might have just imagined it or something."
Hannah felt bad for deceiving Kaz like this but she wasn't sure she could handle admitting that she had kissed him. Her heart was already pounding at the thought. “It's ok. Not to be sure of something, I mean.” she sighed a little, relieved that he had taken the bait. “You might have… Did you sleep well?” she asked to change the topic.
"Huh..I guess your right. It was just a dream hah." He put a hand on his neck, "not all surprised I'm dreaming about you though. I did sleep well, thank you for asking."
At that, Hannah did blush but she still smiled at him. “That's good. Though I can't imagine that it was comfortable.” she teased, referring to the stiffness of the desks and chairs.
"Oh yeah, it was not comfortable at all. I only really fell asleep because i hardly got any sleep last night." He chuckled softly, moving to sit up.
Hannah giggled softly and nodded. “I’m sorry to hear that about last night. Did something happen?” she asked in concern.
"Oh don't worry about it, it's nothing big. Just couldn't get myself to sleep for long periods of time without waking up."
“Oh.” she nodded, having had a few rough nights as well, before turning back to her assignments with a sigh. Though she wished she could figure out something more to talk with Kaz about. She just couldn't think of anything to say.
He felt bad about lying to her, but he didn't want her to worry about him going home every day so he figured a small white lie wouldn't be too harmful. He leaned back in his chair with a sigh.
“I, uh…” she cleared her throat softly. “I’m surprised that it's just you and me here today. I would have thought that the school would have had more… troublesome students to deal with.” she finally admitted.
"They probably skipped." He shrugged, "most kids don't bother to show up half the time. Which usually gets them in even deeper trouble.' He spoke, sounding like he knew what he was talking about. He didn't, he was guessing.
Hannah raised a brow slightly at the way his explanation came out, but nodded. “That makes sense.” she agreed as she chose to disregard the possibility of Kaz being that kind of troublemaker. Besides, he was here now. To her that meant either he didn't skip detention, just classes, or he just showed up to see her since she hadn't skipped anything before. But she brushed aside that last thought as well since it sounded vain and selfish.
He moved to stretch out his arms, yawning a little bit as he did so. He moved to look around the classroom as well before grinning at her.
“What?” she smiled back, blushing when she caught him looking at her.
"Nothing, cherry." He chuckled as looked at her.
Her blush darkened at the nickname as she laughed with him. Though she was still trying not to disturb the sleeping teacher.
"Your so cute when you blush like that." He chuckled a little bit.
“Thanks.” she said, mostly because she wasn't sure what else to say. She wasn't used to getting compliments.
He just sat there and pulled out his phone, before starting to play geomtry dash on his phone while he was waiting.
Hannah let out a soft breath and went back to finishing her homework as her blush slowly faded.
He glanced at her from to time, before going back to his phone.
Despite her apparent concentration on her work, Hannah's eyes darted toward Kaz every once in a while. Which only caused her to blush again when they happened to catch each other.
