Rai goes over several restaurants in her head. "Well I have plenty of money at the moment, but I'm honestly feeling pizza. There's a fancy place not too far from here, and we can reach it by power lines easily."
Now where is your brother's room..?
M rubbed his chin, humming softly as he walked. “Sounds fair. My twin’s room is just up ahead. He possesses this entire floor, after all. We’ll just be able to walk right in. Ignore him if he tells us to get out.”
(bro i promise ill reply but i am so sick right now,)
"Is he as bad as you make him seem?" Rai mutters, swiftly walking down the hallway.
(Aaaaaaayyyyyy you feeling better?)
“What do you mean by that?” M asked conspicuously as he stopped randomly at a door to their direct left, only taking time to rap firmly on the door before pushing it open and walking in.
( i still have a cough and shit but im thriving and getting back into the roleplay mood)
Rai hesitated to finish her sentence as she feared M's twin would be in the room. That feeling was quickly overridden but sheer curiosity and excitement to meet the man. What will he be like? Does he look exactly like M?*
(Yaaaaay! Glad you’re better-ish)
M’s twin was in the room, but he wasn’t doing anything weird in it. He was hunched over a desk in the far corner of the huge room, which was dressed in a fine gray color. In the other half of the room was a bedroom space, which had a huge king sized bed with dressers on both sides. On the other, opposite side, there was a living room space, where a couch, TV, and even a refrigerator stood.
M strolled into the room with more confidence than Rai had ever seen him walk with. His twin, Neo, glanced up from the desk for a moment. The only thing distinguishable that the distance Rai was at was the black hair and round nose.
(my god im so sorry i love you im trying to rp i am but theres just so much hoemwrok dfhweiof)
Rai scanned through the room which was oddly more of a bedroom than an office. She was slightly taken aback, but all the more interested. He lives here?
She excitedly followed M in, wondering if she should talk or if M would explain the situation for her. As Rai got closer, she stared at the near-perfect reflection of M sitting at the desk.
(It'snookoooooo)
Neo had smoother, more tame hair that was down to his collarbone and neatly split from the left. It was rather curly and fluffy, and it looked extremely soft and well-kept, which was a direct difference from M's mat of hair.
"What are you doing in here?" Neo's low voice rung out precisely in the same way M's did.
Rai stared at the two in awe. She had met twins a few times before, but they were never adults. Something felt different with more matured people, they own their own personalities for the most part, or they should. Rai knew there weren't a lot of mature adults and she wishes that could change one day. This was a whole different level, because these twins didn't have the same chemical makeup as humans, so how did they mature?'
"What are you doing in here?" he spoke.
Rai inhaled excitedly. "We're actually trying to get to the roof. I'm Rai, by the way."
Neo leaned back against his desk to glower at Rai, his eyebrows raised slightly. The only difference in face was the lack of scars on Neo. M was covered head to toe in little nicks, and a noticeable rose tattoo on his neck (and probably many more). Neo seemed to have no tattoos, no scars, no fine lines of sleeplessness or stress. He was younger-looking, but also looked the same age as his twin… it was… weird.
"Why do you two want to go up to the roof?"
Rai tilted her head in curiosity. Not even an introduction. Interesting.
"How else will we get to lunch, silly?" She smiled wondering if they were both equally irritable and stubborn. "We're practicing tightrope walking."
Neo squinted at his twin, who looked eerily like that cat who was having a knife pointed at it.
"What does she mean? You don't mean to harm her, do you?"
"Aw, come on, Neo, no! I'm not gonna do that shit to her."
She giggled and shook her head. "Don't worry, mister, it was my idea. If anything, he'll be the one to fall," Rai sneered, jabbing a thumb in M's direction. These twins are funny.
M sighed softly and shook his head at Neo. "Yeah, you'd climb up and cut the wire. Ughhh, come on, Rai, let's leave my unusally grumpy twin to wallow."
Rai nodded her head in agreement. "Lunch is awaiting us, M! I'm quite hungry after the morning I've had." Her yellow eyes suddenly lit up, almost literally. Idea! "What if your twin came with?"
Neo and M exchanged somewhat disgusted looks. The pair started blurting out random excuses as to why Neo could not come, not excluding, "He's busy" and "I really can't, I have suitors to meet". The pair fell silent and just glared at each other for a solid half-minute before looking back at her.
Rai was taken aback by their strong opposition to her idea. She threw her hands in the air. "Alright, alright. Another day then. Shall we go, M?" she said, her eyes flickering around the room to find a door that would lead to the roof. I wonder why they seem to avoid one another.
M pursed his lips and turned to her, away from Neo. "Yes, let's go. So how exactly would we go about this?" He asked, striding across the room to a large window.
Rai looked outside and studied the power lines. There wasn't one directly under the window, but there was a ladder on the side to get to the top of the roof, and a few lines extending from this building to a lower office building. She studied them carefully and looked to M. "Just follow my lead!"
The girl opened the window and cautiously climbing to the ladder, nodding to M.
M sat expectantly on the windowsill for her to get to safety, swinging his long legs as he watched her curiously.
"I think you should get to the roof first, Rai. I'll follow once you're safe, alright? I don't want you worrying of me."
Rai scoffed, "I'm not worried about you in the slightest."
She made her way up the ladder, her hands tingling from the cold sensation the metal brought upon. The rust was prominent, reddish brown splotches covering almost all of the silver. Eventually, she reached the roof and waved M up. Rai pointed a finger to the power line she planned on walking across.
"I had to teach myself how to distribute my weight right and calm myself down so that the anxiety doesn't make me fall. But, I also had to learn to save myself if I did happen to fall. Got a couple of broken bones from that, but nothing too serious, thankfully. Ready?" she said.
When Rai turned around, M was pulling himself up from off the ladder and onto the rocky plain of the roof below them. He teetered closer to her, sticking his hands into his pockets and squinting out at the powerline, shrugging.
"Alright, each man his own way. I personally never skimmed an electrical line but there's always room to try," He joked meekly with a small grin down at her. "I suppose I can risk a couple bones. But you're going first."
Rai stepped to the line and took a deep breath, letting the air flow all throughout her lungs. She gracefully began to tiptoe across the line, which dipped under her weight. Rai did not falter once. Should I show off? Nah, not yet.
Upon jumping to the other roof, she looked back at M and waved cheerfully. "You'll be fine! Promise!"
