(Merry Christmas!)
(Merry Christmas!)
If she will only let go of this form of solitude. She will. She will try to at the very least. Emese was unsure of herself unlike the countless of times she has felt more than determined. The two of them have a lot of work to do, and she will only do her part. Again, she is exhausted.
His words were fascinating to her. They held something that she has never heard before. It was enough to ease the disturbance in her mind. She shivered then closed her eyes.
"You are able to do so…It just has to come naturally…"
The massaging was another unexpected thing. Haruta already is comforting her, allowing her to do what she allowed him to do. Doesn't he know? Emese sniffled, resting her hand on his chest. She tried to catch her breath, making it slow down.
He continued to massage her back softly as she placed a hand on his chest, he wanted to make sure that she was able to relax as she calmed down. He moved his hand around on her back to find any tense muscles to try and make them not as tight or tense. He looked around the area to make sure that absolutely no one would disturb them.
Hm. Would it bother too much if he were to pick her up and carry her to some place more private?
He did not know..but he imagined she most likely wouldn’t like being picked up without being asked.
When he was sure she was alright he let himself speak, “shall we go somewhere more private?”
Slowly yet surely, her breathing began to slow down. It was shaky but she tried her best to take deep breaths. Tears still trickled down. Her head was throbbing. It is just so draining that she already feels herself growing weary; perhaps soon she should go lay down for a bit.
The massaging did do wonders. Honestly she was surprised that Haruta is good at it, let alone knoeing how to massage in the first place. Goosebumps covered the back of her neck. Somehow she let herself relax or at least enough to help calm down a little.
Emese glimpsed up at him. Go somewhere private? "I do not have my slippers though," She exhaled. "One of them fell off after you picked me up." She wasn't against going somewhere else. Quite the contrary, she guesses. "We can….We can if you want to."
"I shall have a servant fetch for your other slipper, it is probably in the gardens. Right now, i believe. Its Time for a rest, or at least a little one."
He moved to stand up, offering to help her up should she need it, though he didn't want to assume. Every time he did that something bad would happen, so he wasn't planning on doing that much anymore. We, as much he was able. Some things just seemed so obvious that he felt if he assumed differently he would be crazy.
"I..I do want too, at least. For a little bit, before my crazy schedule ensues that I do not get any time with you."
"Oh well….Alright then…" Suppose she cannot really run off to go find the one in the gardens; she would get a little upset to see the bottom of her skirts and stockings get dirty. She used her hand to press against the wall while getting up. Emese has this way of thinking where she must try help herself before resorting to help from others. Then with her other hand, she gripped her skirts before successfully standing on her two feet.
She bit the inside of her cheek. As a wife, is it strange to feel odd about finally having time with her husband? Something that she has been wishing for what feels like an eternity? "You can split up your schedule and give me some tasks needed to be taken care of," She suggested. "That way we can be somewhere private for a bit longer and you won't have to feel rushed."
((OH MY GOSH ITS BEEN SO LONG IM SO SORRY))
(Oh it's okay! If you wanna continue this or do a new thread, I'm fine with either)
(I would love to continue this with you)
Haruta lead her off to some place more private, walking with her back towards her bed chambers. he figured that she would rather go to hers, then him taking her to his own chamber. He glanced at her as they walked.
"…Hm, do you truly want to help me with my tasks, and my duties?" he spoke, knowing what her answer would most likely be. He just…needed to be sure, he wouldn't drag her in without her saying yes to his face. it would be difficult…though he supposed it could be nice to have someone share the burden with him.. He sighed softly, his thoughts clouded up by his fathers words.
If only he could get it out of his head…but it would never leave him.
There were few moments where his mind was at peace.
When they began to walk, she removed her remaining slipper. Her right hand clutched it as she strolled alongside Haruta. Despite the fact that she would rather look away and avoid any possible eye contact, her chin remained parallel to the floor.
Emese bit the inside of her bottom lip. Help? No. She wanted to take on these tasks and duties as her own. It's one reason why she agreed to marrying Haruta in the first place. Ever since she learned how to read, she knew that she was meant to be governing and looking after the people of the kingdom. And she wouldn't be needing any help with whatever Haruta would ever so "gratefully" bestow upon her.
But she couldn't say the first thing that was on her mind. Whatever was going on between him and her, she didn't want to ruin it. Emese looked over at Haruta then said, "Yes, I truly want to. I need to, Haruta. I really need this."
He sighed, before turning to face her as he stopped moving. He glanced down at her, "if you truly want too…then I will make room for you. You need not worry about what others say when you get in there with me…but it will be harsh. Their will be constant eyes watching you, and condemning you. If that's truly what you wish, then you may join me in my meetings."
He spoke, looking serious. His gaze melts from a serious one after that. "But that is for another time…this time should be used for rest, before the storm that approaches."
Her skirts spun as she stopped, standing in front of him. Emese stared right into his eyes. Her lips drew thin. The slipper bent in her hand while her knuckles turned white. Personally, she believed there should be a spot for her. After all, she would be queen soon and she is very knowledgeable, even more so than some of the officials that work with Haruta. She was more than capable of leading and handling whatever is thrown at her. It all is in her blood for heavens sake!
"I can assure you that I do not care. Let them stare. Let them condem me. They are fools for doing so," She chided, "And they are my meetings too! I am just glad I get to go without needing to raise any trouble." The thing is she was awfully surprised that she didn't. As if she wasn't upset about a million things already. She would if she could. Emese looked up and down at Haruta before saying, "As if I hadn't experienced a storm of my own ever since I came here. Believe me, I can withstand a lot."
He snorted, Fools, I wish I could call them fools outright and demand that they leave for good. He sighed rubbing his face. "for gosh sakes, your going to go to the meetings alright? I just- want to make use of this time to just relax without talking about the stupid officials." He sighed, hesitating before speaking.
"When I say there's a storm, I'm not talking about bracing yourself, I know your strong. I'm not telling you to brace because your weak, strong people brace for impact as well."
"Let's not talk about that now please." He leaned against the wall, just existing before willing himself to stand back up.
Emese snapped her head at him. For once, she lowered her chin to the floor. She couldn't help it. Both her father and oldest brother, Gwi, are officials. They brought her into this despite her wanting power to begin with. This was that she thought about: power. Why else would she have agreed to marry Haruta if it were not for power? It's not like she could have taken her eyes off of the prize for something like love. She wasn't going to stop until she got exactly what she wanted; that's exactly what she told herself since the night before they married.
Biting the inside of her lip, she kept staring at the floor. She understood what he was trying to say. Neither of them were invincible. Personally, she wished she was but nonetheless. "Fine, relax." That was all she had to say at the moment. She was exhausted. Her head was throbbing. Her heart was heavy. She wasn't wearing any slippers because she lost one and was carrying the other. Her feet were slightly aching. If she couldn't talk about stupid officials or power, then she had nothing else to say.
Her shoulders were stiff as she moved closer to Haruta. Dropping her slipper, she hestitantly wrapped her arms around him. She hid her face in his chest for a few seconds then rested the side of her face against it.
He was shocked when she came over to him and moved to wrap her arms around himnand leaned against his chest. He didn't really know what to do with her in moments like these.
He looked away from her as she rested against his chest, and then the side of it.
What should he even do in this situation? Does he hug her back? Should he not?
Affection…confused him. He never took a relationship from any of the women in the village, no time.
He hesitantly wrapped his arms around her as well. Just standing there with his arms around her. Should he put them higher? Lower? Was this fine? would she complain about them?
He sighed internally, why were women so complicated..
Part of her was unsure of why she was doing what she did. It was purely impulsive, out of character. And yet, at the same time, she felt some sort of sympathy for Haruta. She understood him. Of course, she doesn't fully know why he is the way that he is. He was quite as complex as she was, if not more than. All beings were complex after all, that is simply how it works. However, she believed that her husband was a whole different case. She could have walked away instead. She could have given him a piece of her mind. No, instead here she was hugging him.
His arms felt stiff around her. Emese could sense the uncertainty, hesitancy. She removed her right hand to guide his right hand up to the back of her head. Then she moved his left down to her waist. "I know how little you feel…or know…about these things," She whispered while putting her right arm back around him. "We do not have to love each other this instant…or ever at all…but…I will only be by your side only if you will be by mine. Maybe we can teach other things, and be happy."
