Riven ignored the two, for the most part, though his gaze narrowed suspiciously when he saw Lor. "You had better not be having a tryst with your lover; I do not wish to listen to that." he told her, not seeming to register the hypocrisy of that statement; after all, they heard him with his lovers nearly every time he chose to bring one here.

@Tired-but-passionate

At first, they were confused. “What lover?” Then they realized he was talking about Lor. Indigo stifled a laugh. “Uh huh. Sure. Okay.” Did he not see the plates and cups in their hands? She has never… “had a tryst” before, but thought it would be quite inconvenient to have one with untouched food nearby.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Lor blinked, but did not speak, merely followed Indigo wherever they led. Riven waved a hand vaguely. "I mean it." he said, still laying stretched out on his couch. His eyes flickered shut after a moment, and he did not speak again; this was likely to be taken as dismissal.

@Tired-but-passionate

Indigo only snickered before moving into her room. Once they were both inside, she sighed, shaking their head. “Sorry about that. Anyway, I guess we can… eat on the bed.”
They sat down, and laid one of the plates on the bed for Lor.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Lor laughed a little once the door was closed, sitting down on the bed and holding out Indigo's glass and utensils to them. "It's alright." they replied, settling in to eat. "He's, ah…an ass, from everything I've heard about him, so."

@Tired-but-passionate

"Well, what you heard was true," they smirked, taking the glass and utensils. "And now you witnessed the *ssholery for yourself."
Indigo inhaled the smell of the food and dug in. The fried bread was wonderful, and to eat with another person also made it nice.

@ElderGod-Icefire

They laughed a little, and began to eat their food. "Yes, well. He'll be gone soon enough." they replied, eyes sparking for just a moment before they returned to their food.

@Tired-but-passionate

“Oh, you have a sister?” Indigo tilted her head. “I’ve wondered what that’s like. I don’t have any siblings, but I used to serve one of the noble households, so I would eat with the other slaves who worked there.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I do, yes. It's…interesting, living with her. We are lucky that neither of us has been separated from the other." Lor said, still working on their food.

@Tired-but-passionate

Indigo ate while they listened. It made her think of Lee, as he was the closest friend she might have had at the Thistlewells. They wondered how he was doing now. “I bet,” she said, swallowing a piece of meat.

@ElderGod-Icefire

They nodded faintly, still working on eating their food. They and their sister were quite content to live together, not really seeing the need to add anyone else to their home.

@Tired-but-passionate

Indigo finished quickly, only slowed down by the talk. She drained the rest of their water glass, then gathered the dishes together. After which, she looked up.
“This might be kind of random, but do you live here? In the palace?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"My sister and I live in a small cottage on the grounds; the palace does not have room for all of its slaves, so there is a small section of the grounds devoted to housing." they explained.

@Tired-but-passionate

Indigo nodded slowly. “Ah, I see. I just… I know there are humans who can own property, and I was wondering what that was like. I just assumed you lived inside the palace because I didn’t want to get my hopes up.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"We don't own it, the palace does." Lor replied. "It's nice not to live directly in the palace, but it only works that way because neither my sister nor I have a job that is necessarily needed all of the time. Plumbing needs fixing, yes, but not every moment of every day."

@Tired-but-passionate

They nodded again. “Makes sense.” Her gaze flickered down to her dirty dishes as they considered Lor’s words. They turned back to them. “Are you finished?” She asked.

@ElderGod-Icefire

They nodded slightly. "I am, yes." they stretched, running a hand over the short, buzzed hair on top of their head. "Thank you for…well. Everything we have discussed today." their gaze flickered to the door, uncertain if Riven could hear them through the wooden paneling or not.

@Tired-but-passionate

“Alright.” Indigo stood up. “Of course. Happy to be of service.” She followed their gaze to the door, but figured that even if the prince could hear them, he wouldn’t care all that much. “We should take these back to the kitchen, then.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Lor stood as well, stretching and sighing faintly. "We should." they gathered up some of the stuff that had been used for lunch, rubbing their face with one hand. "I'll have to get to work again, I think."

@Tired-but-passionate

“Don’t want to make you late,” she added. Indigo walked over to the door and held the it open for them, then followed after. Once they were out in the hallway, her pace became brisk.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Lor nodded, walking with them back towards the kitchens. They were quite as they walked, brows gathered together in the faintest of frowns. "You are sure you are alright with the plan? About…" they trailed off, not finishing the sentence.

@Tired-but-passionate

Indigo glanced at them, her first response being to joke about it. “Well, I’ve never committed crime before. Always a first time for everything, right?” They laughed a little at themself, but it trailed off quickly. “Ah, um. Seriously though, I’m sure. There’s a chance a chance it could go wrong, and I don’t like the idea of being the one to… ah, you know. But understand why you came to me.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Lor nodded faintly. "You'll be alright. We'll set it up so it looks like someone else's fault." they replied, looking over at them for a moment. "It'll be fine. Plus, it will shake the family, having the youngest just…" they trailed off again, not wanting to directly state something implicating.
