Simon laughed softly. “Well we’re gonna have to get up at some point, Astral.”
Simon laughed softly. “Well we’re gonna have to get up at some point, Astral.”
Astral mumbled something under his breath along the lines of 'but do we have to?' but kept quiet other than that. He held Simon close, head going against the mortal's chest. Simon felt nice and cool to the much warmer god, and it was nice…
Simon laughed softly at Astral’s mumblings. At the change in position though, he did seem a bit uncomfortable, and quickly changed it so Astral wasn’t up against his chest.
Astral blinked some, then realized what happened.
"I'm sorry," he said softly, hugging Simon with the apology. He had to admit, he forgot…
“It’s alright..” he replied quietly. Just too many bad things had happened while he wasn’t wearing a binder for him to feel okay with that.
Astral fell quiet, holding Simon protectively still. He felt bad, and he wanted Simon to know nothing was going to happen to him. He was safe here, in this palace.
Simon knew Astral probably hadn’t meant to, and he was glad the god felt sorry about it. “It’s okay Astral, really.”
"Are you sure..?" Astral was sorry, and he wanted to make it up to the man. He just wasn't quite sure how, though…
“Yeah I know you didn’t mean it.” He said, sitting up to look at the god. “It’s not a big deal.”
Astral sat up as well when Simon did, eyebrows coming together for a moment.
"I did something you had a bad reaction to, whether I meant to hurt you or not. That's a big deal to me…" The god gently took Simon's hands in his.
“Well that is very nice of you…” he gently squeezed Astral’s hands. “But I’m okay.” He offered the god a reassuring smile.
Astral nodded slowly, not sure if he believed Simon. He let it drop, though, squeezing Simon's hands gently in turn. The man was small compared to him, his hands fitting so easily in the god's… The perks of being seven-foot tall.
Simon didn’t mind how short he was compared to Astral which was good. He knew the god hadn’t meant to make him uncomfortable which is why he let it go so quickly. It honestly made him feel happy that Astral had forgotten.
Astral let out a soft breath. It was a very good thing Simon didn't mind the height difference because it didn't really go away. The god leaned forward, hugging Simon for a moment.
"Hmm… I guess we might as well get up," he mumbled, seeing as they were both not laying down anymore.
Simon sighed softly. “Yeah….I guess we should.” He still didn’t really want to get up in all honesty.
Astral didn't either, but they were already sitting. He didn't pull away from Simon, arms still around Simon. He settled down, head resting on top of Simons.
Simon smiled at that, nuzzling closer to the god. It was a bit funny to him that neither of them seemed willing to pull away.
It was, just a little bit. Astral let out a small hum of content as Simon nuzzled into him. He moved to carefully pull Simon close to his chest, smiling softly.
“Soooo…are we not getting up then?” He asked hopefully. He was just so comfy right here.
"We're not getting up," Astral agreed. He chuckled, head tucked against Simon. "Today is a stay in bed and relax day."
“I’m glad, that’ll be really nice.” He said, smiling widely. He wrapped his arms around Astral as much as he could.
Astral let his own arms wrap nice and snuggly around Simon's waist. He smiled at Simon's attempts to do the same, his head in Simon's hair again after a moment. It was soft and comfy, okay? Not to mention a very nice color…
Speaking of the color, it was fading a bit, Simon would need to re-dye it soon. But right now that didn’t matter a lot to him. He was glad that Astral seemed to like it.
If Simon talked to Astral about it, the god could get him some higher quality dye, if not just giving him a more permanent color change so he wouldn't have to bother with dyes.
Astral did enjoy it, quite a lot. Then again, he enjoyed being around Simon in general. It just felt right, to hold him close and the god put his head against Simon's in this way.
Simon definitely needed some better dye, all the shitty ones he’d used over the years were catching up with him.
The good news is it didn’t seem to be a one sided sentiment. Simon enjoyed being around the god as well.
