Simon smiled right back at him, happily accepting it. “T-thanks!” He replied, quickly turning to focus on cutting up the fruit.

Astral chuckled softly when he heard Simon's stutter, gently patting Simon's shoulder as he turned back to his work with a happy hum.

Simon continued to cut the fruit, focusing on the task instead of on Astral, trying to remember what Mia had said.

Astral hummed softly as they worked, occasionally glancing over at Simon. Had something happened? It worried the god some, but he didn't say a word.

Simon would of course talk more once they actually ate but for now there wasn’t really a reason to, or at least that’s what he told himself. He didn’t want to upset Mia, but he also really liked spending time with Astral.

"So, would you like to add the fruit now or have the fruit as a garnish?" Astral asked, turning to Simon for a moment with the batter bowl in his arm.

“Mmm let’s add it in now. That okay with you?” He asked, smiling up at Astral. Simon didn’t seem upset so that was good.

"Yeup!" Astral moved over to offer the bowl to Simon so he could put the fruit pieces in. He was glad Simon didn't seem upset, but this change in behavior was still a bit worrying.

Simon sprinkled them in, humming softly as he did so. “There! All done!” He smiled again.

"Perfect" Astral folded the fruit in with a spatula, turning to the griddle to get cooking.
"How big would you like your pancakes?"

“Big big!” He said enthusiastically, a wide grin on his face as he giggled softly.

Astral laughed some, nodding.
"Perfect!" He started to pour the pancakes out, humming softly.

Simon stood next to him, inspecting how much Astral was pouring out. Seeming to approve, he stayed quiet besides humming a gentle tune underneath his breath.

Astral smiled as Simon inspected his work, keeping an eye on the pancakes so they didn't burn. It wasn't long at all before he was flipping them, looking to Simon with a smile.
"Almost done!"

Simon’s smile widened at that, he was practically bouncing with excitement. “Do you need me to set the table or anything?” He asked, looking up at Astral.

"Yes, please," Astral said, looking over with a smile, "I already set the plates out so you won't have to try to reach them." The god grinned as he turned to the pancakes, humming some.

Simon nodded. “Okay, that should just take me a second then.” He said, going to get the plates that Astral had set out, moving them over to the table, grabbing a pair of forks and knives while he was at it.

Astral carried the pancakes over when he was down, smiling some.
What toppings would you like?" He asked, smiling some as he sat the pancakes down by their seats.

“Ummm I don’t know, what do you have?” He asked, looking up at Astral excitedly. He was just looking forward to eating.

"Well, we have syrup, butter, jams, whipped cream, most anything," Astral said, smiling some. He was glad Simon looked like he wanted to eat, it was a good sign.

“Just whipped cream and syrup for me please!” He replied, smiling widely. He sat down so Astral could go get the stuff since he didn’t know where it was.

"Okay!" Astral walked over to the kitchen area again to get the whipped cream from the fridge and the syrup from the cupboard, bringing some butter over for himself.
"here!"

“Thank you!” He exclaimed, taking the things from Astral and proceeding to put probably way too much whipped cream on his pancakes. But hey, the stuff is delicious, who could blame him.

Astral chuckled some as Simon piled the whipped cream on, putting butter on his own before pouring the syrup on. He hummed some, the already melting butter sinking into the fluffy pancake. He cut off a triangle of it, putting it in his mouth.
"Mm..~" He said, relaxing in his seat and letting his eyes close momentarily. "Fruit pancakes are the best."

“They are!” Simon agreed after taking a bite of his own pancake, having a small bit of whipped cream on his nose.
