(You’re ok! You always seem to catch me when I’m at work XD sorry I didn’t get to this sooner!!! How are you doing btw?)
The angel closed her eyes, breathing in the smell of just him. This was wrong and she knew it was but… she liked him and she didn’t want to stop liking him either.
“So…? Can we call a truce now?” She joked softly, smiling and opening her eyes once more to gaze at his beautiful orbs. “Now that we know we both mutually like each other we shouldn’t try and kill one another. I certainly don’t want to hurt you… you’ve been kind to me recently, you’ve even gave me freedom…”
(Heck sorry! And I've been good! Though my friends gave me 2 panic attacks today, all with in an hour. How have you been?)
"A truce huh?" Samuel chuckled, "yeah we can, in fact it'd be nice not to have to worry about you trying to kill me. Not gonna lie I was a bit tense when you had that knife." He sighed, and kissed her briefly again.
"Get some rest." The demon handed her a key card for a room as he pulled away from her. "I'll be in the room across the hall. Come get me if you need anything, little angel." He brought the nick name back, but instead of sounding annoyed with her, it was kind.
(Oh no it’s ok!! I’m just laughing at the fact. My last day of work is tomorrow tho so I should be open until college classes start on the 19th and I’m ok! A little tired and overworked but ok!)
She smiled softly at him and took the keycard willingly from him. “Thank you, but know this, Samuel, I wasn’t going to harm you with that knife.” She promised him softly, sighing sadly as he moved away. “I will, but I trust you if you ever feel like getting a two bedroom suite.” She murmured softly to him.
Before moving she wrapped her arms around him and kissed his lips. “Good night Samuel…”
(Hey, my last day of work is coming up too! Also ah, I'm gonna miss you. Sksksksk. At least pop in the group chat from time to time so we know you didn't die?)
"I'm just giving you your space. I don't want you feeling like a prisoner." Besides that Samuel couldn't promise he'd stay at the hotel all night. He didn't want the angel questioning him, even if he wasn't gonna be up to anything.
"Night, Rosemarie. Sleep well." And with that he was slipping the keycard in its slot and slipping in his own room. Somehow wishing he had been staying in the same suite as the angel.
(I will! I’m going to try and be on as much as I can to rp and talk! I’m hoping it doesn’t change too much.)
Rosemarie smiled, happy to hear his words. “Thank you… you’re the nicest demon I’ve met.” She decided with a nod, giggling softly.
She waved as he left, turning to open her own door and sighing at the quiet air. It was nice but also kind of lonely. She had been stuck with Samuel for a long time and even though she liked him, she did need her own space. She was a woman after all.
Rosemarie decided to take a quick soak in the tub. Sure angels didn’t have to clean themselves due to the fact that they were holy beings who could use their power to keep themselves always clean but the warm water always helped clear her mind and the smells were amazing.
(Ah, I feel like this school year is gonna be super stresfull, like for everyone. Amd Idk why.)
Samuel sighed, breathing in the air freshener sent that filled the room. He was tired, and the bed looked super inviting. Not to mention he still found just about any bed inviting. As long as it was soft, and nice, and not the ground.
The demon changed into pajamas with a snap of his fingers and clasped onto the bed. His demon form coming out to stretch. It had been painful to keep his wings in all day. Especially since he wasn't used to it anymore.
(I feel it too. I wonder what it is…?)
Rosemarie usually kept her wings to herself, preferring to not show the silvery-white feathers to anyone. Her wings were rather awkward in her opinion and they were too… weirdly colored.
But now in the privacy of the bathroom in a warm tub, she let them out freely, letting one tuck under her in the water and the other drape over the edge.
It wasn’t long before she was out and dressed in some comfortable lace short shorts and a shear, lace, revealing tank top. She was enjoying this freedom to wear whatever she wanted. She didn’t like getting hot in the middle of the night.
(Dear gosh, we're all gonna die. Also, skip to morning? or have the angel contact Rosemarie now? Or in the morning? Idk.)
(Yeet to the morning then! How was your last day? Also sorry for the shortness. Sksksksk.)
Samuel awoke, surprised that he'd been able to fully sleep thought the night. Though it was rather early, so he decided not to bother the angel.
(You’re okkkeeeyy!! And it was good but sad. I cried tbh. I know I always complain about working but I worked for a tourist train… I could be myself and talk to people and dress up and have fun. And the people I work with were amazing)
The angel had slept like a rock. She felt so calm and peaceful as she dozed across the bed, her wings splayed out and feathers spilling down to the floor. The tips of her silvery wings twitched as she began to wake, yawning softly and stretching herself out.
Rosemarie felt refreshed and in a good mood. She hummed to herself as she sat up, her golden curls just as perfect as if she had barely curled them. It took no effort on her part to look good.
She smiled to herself, thinking of last night with Samuel. A soft giggle left her throat. “What are you so happy about Rosie?” Asked a female voice from the window. Rosemarie jumped, looking over to see Esther, an angel of higher standing - and Rosemarie’s very closer friend. “Why are you in a hotel room?” Asked Esther as she climbed into the room.
Rosemarie was frozen. Esther stared at her with dark eyes. “They said something happened… some angel was stupid and freed Samuel… you wouldn’t happen to know anything about that would you?” She asked with a huff.
“Of course not! I know nothing!” She said with a soft smile, giggling nervously. Esther glared.
“Liar. I can tell you’ve sold your soul to a demon… you forget who I am and where I stand among angels. Why are you here with him, what are you doing? Why did you free him?”
(I feel your pain! The last day of my internship is tomorrow and imma miss it so much.)
The demon had long since ordered his breakfast, and completely devoured it. In fact he was now getting ready. For once taking his time instead of simply snapping his fingers.
Samuel wore a red dress shirt, along with black dress pants. His hair slicked back, but still somehow falling in his face. Today was a day to dress well. And even if something did happen he could always just fix himself up. Weather he picked normal clothes, or choose to stay the same.
(Isn’t it so sad? T^T)
Rosemarie paled. “I-I can explain!” She said quickly, gasping. Esther shook her head and growled lowly.
“You like him don’t you? I saw you two last night…” she admitted, rolling her eyes at the beautiful Rosemarie in front of her. “I can’t believe you of all people would fall for a demon!? I don’t know how long I can keep this secret for you… I will keep it… because even if you are stupid you’re still my friend.”
Marie sighed in relief and blushed. “He’s not like the others Esther… he’s sweet.”
(It iiisssss. Sksksksk. Hey but theres always next summer!)
Samuel wondered if Rosemarie was up yet. It wasn't early, nor was it late, so he decided to check. He made his way over to to phone in his room and dialed her room.
He figued if she was still asleep he didn't want to make her get out of bed, at least the phone was beside the bed.
(You’re right. XD)
The second the phone rang Rosemarie jumped. She grabbed it quickly and answered, desperate for a distraction. “Hello?” She asked softly, staring at her friend who glared back at her.
“Idiot…” Esther snarled, folding her arms.
"Hey! Didn't know if you where up or not yet." The demon narrowed his eyes, he could feel the presence of another angel. "Just wanted to let you know, you can order room service if you wanted. Or, we could go get breakfast somewhere else?"
Samuel leaned against the wall, trying to figure out why another angel would be here. It was the whole reason he'd picked the place. City of sin, no angel would willingly step foot in unless they where following someone of good heart.
“I-I’d love to come and get breakfast with you! Just give me a moment, I have something to take care of really fast. My wings are a sight! Let me get the feathers all straightened out!” She lied quickly, anxious and scared. “I’ll knock on your door when I’m ready, ok? Love ya bye!” She said softly, looking to Esther as she hung up.
“You are a fool. I will not rat you out to the higher angels… but when he throws you away like trash after he’s done ruining and using you, I will not be there to help. You willbe completely and utterly alone, traitor.” She spat, turning back to the window. Rosemarie whimpered, trying to find something to say, but nothing came out.
When her friend had left, and she knew that it wouldn’t be the last time she saw Esther, Rosemarie sat in shock. She wasn’t sure what to do now.
So she got up and did her hair nice for Samuel, changing into a rather stunning yellow sundress. She sighed and left, knocking on his door just a few moments later
Samuel noticed when the other angel seemed to fade. Obviously not bothering to appear anywhere in a hurry. Perhaps they where following someone. Put them back on the right path. Or as the demons liked to think of it, the boring path.
The demon opened his door, a grin on his face. "Love ya, huh?" He had honestly been surprised to hear the angel say such a thing, and wondered if she'd ment to say it, or it just slipped.
The angel flushed furiously, looking away. “I-I was in a hurry, it slipped…” she mumbled, hiding her face in her massive curls. “Don’t think too much of it.” She huffed, folding her arms.
Esther’s words echoed in her mind: ’When he throws you away…’ Samuel was a demon. He could toss her to the side at any time. Would he leave her just like that to die? She was certain he could, and just might.
“Alright, what do you have planned today, Samuel? Are we killing more demon’s or are you going to take me out on an actual date?”
Samuel raised an eye brow, but didn't bother saying much else. Though he did wonder why she had been in a rush. Perhaps she'd already been coming over?
"What, I thought killing demons was a date," he smiled at his own joke. "But sure. Say we don go on a real date. Where do ya wanna go?"
She scowled and rolled her eyes. “I will never consider killing demons a date… it’s not romantic. Besides, you’d get more jealous if I kissed another.” She shot back with a sly smirk, looking him up and down.
At the mentioning of a real date she smiled, thinking over the many romantic things she had seen other angels do while courting each other. “Oh! There is so much I’ve always wanted to do and see!” She exclaimed happily, twirling and looking over him with wide, bright eyes. She noticed his clothing choice, and decided to match it with a striking red cocktail dress instead of the pretty yellow sundress. It looked better against her skin and matched his apparel quite well.
“We could go out on a midnight fly or sit and talk in a cafe or go for a walk in the park or mountains, or we could even visit the gardens of Heav-“ she paused and fell silent, her mouth agape. Her excited words died right then. “Oh… never mind we can’t do that… but we can do earthly things… like watch a sunset at a dock or swim at the hot springs hidden up on the mountain side?”
Of course the demon chuckled at what she'd said. It was brutally true, he would get jealous, and he'd want to kill them even if the angel had already beat him to it. "Well then I'll just have to get more creative next time."
It made Samuel happy to see Rosemarie like this. Actually excited, instead of afraid. Her eyes bright instead of dull and shallow. She was breath taking, and even more so in the dress she'd changed to. Though he'd consider her beautiful to matter what. "Well anything you wanna do, then so do I." If anything he'd never actually taken a girl on a real date before, let alone an angel.
His own excitement died at the mention of heaven. "You miss it don't you?" He asked after she'd finished talking. He knew what it was like to miss something. Especially ones home.
Rosemarie smiled sweetly at him and gently kissed his cheek once more. “Yes, you will have to. I’m excited to see what you do.”
“I don’t mind much, Samuel. I’ve never been out on a date before. So I’m a little nervous if I’m going to be honest.” She admitted, giggling and smoothing our her dress.
When he spoke she looked away, nodding ever so softly. “Of course I do. I miss it very much. But, I know that now I won’t ever be allowed back in… they’ll kill me. And that thought scares me a little bit… but I’m with you and for now, that’s all that matters.”
"Not if they don't know yet," Samuel tried to offer some comfort. But even he knew they'd find out. She'd given him her soul, and if he knew how to give it back he would. Never in his life did he think he'd want to give someone their soul back, but for her, he did.
He wrapped his arms around her in a hug, his chin resting on her head. "I'll find a way to get you back to where you belong someday. To get you back what you gave away." If only he could get back to his own home, then maybe he could find her soul and drag it back here.
She chuckled lightly. “How long do you plan on hiding your angel from the rest of the demonic and angelic world?” She asked with a grin.
She wriggled closer, tilting her head up to kiss at his throat and jaw. “I gave it all to you for a reason, Samuel. I don’t want it back… I want you to have it.” She murmured softly, sighing. “An angel’s soul is very… pure. Some are more powerful than others. Some old legends say that an angel who gives their soul to a demon may be damned but that demon does get stronger. I want you to use that if it’s true. Keep away from the higher angels…”
