Before she could change her own mind, Elina took off running towards the kingdom.
Before she could change her own mind, Elina took off running towards the kingdom.
Anah stumbled out of her ice castle. She collapsed into the snow, weak from all of the power she'd exerted, and fell asleep briefly.
The whole time she was running, Elina kept thinking of going back. But she stopped herself and kept going.
Anah awoke several minutes later to find her ice palace completely gone. "N-No…" she whispered hoarsely.
Elina slowed as she reached the outskirts of the Kingdom. She didn't want to seem disheviled in front of her subjects.
Anah tried one last time. "Elina… if… if you can hear me… my castle melted… and I… need your… I need your help… please… Elina…"
Elina walked fast through the streets of the Kingdom. She didn't stop to chat to the school children, and she barely acknowledged when her fiance waved at her and tried to talk. She just knew that if she was in the palace, she wouldn't go to see Anah.
"Elina, please!" Anah cried out.
Elina picked up her skirt and ran up the stairs to her room. Going into her room, she locked the door, then slumped against it.
"PLEASE!" Anah exclaimed. Suddenly a chunk of snow beneath her, soft from the melting ice, slid and Anah fell down into the cavern screaming.
Elina burst into tears. She didn't know why, and she couldn't stop them. It just…happened.
Anah hit the bottom and lay there, motionless for several minutes.
A knock came at Elina's door, but she ignored it.
"Elina…" Anah murmured and pushed herself up and out of the snow. Her new goal was simple: to get back to the kingdom. God, her heard hurt…
The knocker knocked more vigorously. "Go away."
Anah used her powers to propel herself out of the cavern. She began to walk down the mountain.
The knock came again. "I said go away!"
"Come on, Lin. It's me, Liam."
Anah felt her heart yearning for her sister. But apparently, her sister did not share the sediment. "I'm not jealous anymore!" she yelled into the wind. "I just miss you!"
Elina reluctantly stood up and opened the door. "I'm not in the mood right now. What do you want?"
"There's been sightings of a strange looking created climbing down the mountain."
"Human?"
"Unsure."
Anah touched her hair and slowly icy blue strands interwove with her natural brown. She was no longer Anah Harris. She was that Ice Queen.
"Well, why are you telling me? Tell the Captain of the Guards?"
"You're the Queen."
"Right."
Anah stood on the top of a steep slope. She snapped and made the hill a sheet of ice. She crafted ice skates on her feet and skated down the hill. Adrenaline rushes through her.
"Well… I'm currently not in the mood for anything. Alert the guards and leave me be."
"Yes, Your Highness."
Anah's complexion had completely changed. Instead of wearing no makeup, she now wore silver eyeliner and blue lipstick. Her dress had changed too (think Elsa from Frozen) and her hair now had streaks of white, blue, and silver entwined in it. She skated up to the gate of the city.
Screams echoed up to Elina's room before Liam left. They ran over to the window, and Elina gasped when she saw why.
