"I have to assume the throne, Elina," Anah replied.
"I have to assume the throne, Elina," Anah replied.
"No, you don't." Elina said this with firmness and her expression was serious.
"I'm the queen, yes I do."
"You're not the Queen."
Anah blinked. "What?"
"Mum and dad died 4 years ago, Anah. With no-one remembering you, there was only me. Last year, when I turned 18, I was crowned Queen."
Anah stared at her sister. She hated herself for it, but jealousy burned inside of her. "Oh."
"Yes, oh. Did you even think that other people would face confluences because of you not being there?" Elina asked. "Of course you didn't. I can see it in your face."
"Elina, I'm sorry."
Elina almost snapped but stopped herself. "You know what? Stay here. I don't care anymore. We were better off without you." She started walking out.
Anah wanted to say something but the words dried up in her throat. No! she wanted to say. No no no! Elina, I love you, and I miss you and I'm so happy for you that you're the queen, I really am! Let's go home together, no more secrets, okay? A soft moan was the only thing that passed through her lips.
Elina stopped at the door and faced her sister slightly. "You know, I really thought you would try to stop me. Guess I was wrong." She turned back and kept walking.
Anah dropped to her hands and knees. Everything that had been inside her poured out. She screamed and her screams turned into sobs with turned into moans and pleas. The temperature dropped 30 degrees. Winds whipped. She had been holding everything inside for too long. And now that it was all coming out, she was dangerous. She was… powerful.
Elina started walking down the mountain. She shivered slightly. That went so well, She thought sarcastically.
Eventually, Anah settled on sobs. She cried and cried. "I lost her again…" she whispered to herself. "No, no, no…"
Elina didn't realise that she was crying until a tear ran down her cheek. She heard one of Anah's screams filter down to her and she shuddered.
"Please no, please no… Please don't mean what you said," Anah whispered in between sobs. "Please."
Elina kept walking on.
I have a kingdom to run. I don't care if Anah isn't there… But I do, don't I?
Anah stood up, however shakily, and managed to stand. "Elina…" It was a whisper.
Elina stopped walking and contemplated going back to Anah.
"Elina…" It was louder this time.
She looked back up to where Anah was, then to her kingdom.
"E… Elin…" Anah fell again to her hands and knees. She whispered the two words under her breath. "Just… go."
I want to help Anah, but I have a kingdom to run. She let out a scream of frustration.
Anah gritted her teeth. She hadn't noticed the walls were beginning to melt until the floor beneath her suddenly softened. She managed to stand and run down the stairs before the floor disappeared.
