Anah bit her lip. "When… When we were children. I struck you with my powers. It almost killed you. That's why…"
"But…why didn't mum and dad tell me?"
"They wanted me to control my powers before we could see each other again. I'm sorry, Elina, but it has to be this way," Anah said, walking away from her sister and out onto her balcony. Tears threatened her eyes as she looked out across the snowy mountain peaks that surrounded her new home.
"Come home with me," Elina pleaded. "I need you. I need my sister."
"I can't!" Anah snapped suddenly, whipping around to face her sister. Her eyes glowed a brilliant icy blue.
"Yes, you can! There has to be a way to control your powers, Anah! I can't spend my whole life without you!"
"Go away!" Anah hissed. She contorted her face and the blue glow vanished. She looked back up at Elina. "See?! I'm dangerous, Elina. You have to leave right now. I mean it!" Anah cried. "Go!"
"No!" Elina screamed. "I won't leave you!"
Anah struggled to control herself. "Elina…" Her voice was pained, stressed to the point of fracture. "Please…"
"No! Listen to me! I'm not leaving!"
"Control…" Anah moaned. "Control…" She fell to her knees in desperation.
"You don't have to be scared to have feelings, Anah!"
(I would like to do something similar to this:
"You don't have to be scared to have feelings."
"That's crap, of course I do!"
"Why?! We're all having them!"
"Not like mine! No one understands, that if I start crying, I don't think I'll ever stop! It's not good enough for me."
"You got to make it good enough, because it's all we've got left.")
(Okay!)
“Yes, I do!” Anah exclaimed. She was fighting herself.
"Why? Everyone has them! You're not the only one!"
“Not like mine! Nevermind; no one understands. I doubt you’ll be different,” Anah glared at her palms, trying to focus and become in control.
"Then help me understand, Anah!" Elina yelled at her sister. She had so many emotions running through her head.
"It's not that easy," Anah sobbed. She was losing control and she could feel it.
Elina knelt next to her sister. "Please. Just trust me. I'm your sister. I don't want to hurt you, only help you. Please."
Anah's breathing was ragged. "Elina, go," she said pointing to the door. "Hide." She wanted her sister to leave the room, but hide behind the doorframe and watch.
"Why should I hide?"
"Just do it… please…" Anah begged, not looking up.
"Give me a valid reason why and I'll leave. Otherwise, I'm not going anywhere."
"I could hurt you… and… I don't… want to… please…" Anah continued fighting for control, but she was seconds away from blowing.
"You could never hurt me," Elina said softly. "You're my sister. I trust you more than anyone else I know."
Anah couldn't tame herself. Sheets of ice crashed down around her.
"You could never hurt me."
"Elina!" Anah yelled, jumping over to her sister and covering her protectively.
