@Spider-man

Finn nodded. He yawed slightly and stretched. Trying to wake himself up before he made more of a fool of himself. He put some of the pancakes on a plate and started the coffee machine. He thought for a moment sitting on a stool near the counter. "It's okay. You weren't completely wrong anyway," He looked up at his plate and smiled at Brink. "Oh also do you want some coffee?" he stood up and grabbed a mug.

@Festive_Fenrir

He tilted his head curiously “I was? In what way? If anything I think I freaked you out a bit.” He said, shaking his head at the offer of coffee. “No, thank you. I’m already high strung without the caffeine.”

@Spider-man

He poured himself a cup. "I- I don't know but it doesn't really matter. We were both tired and not in the right headspace," He sat down at the counter again. eating his pancake. "I don't know how you can sleep so little and not run on caffeine." He took a low sip from his mug.

@Festive_Fenrir

“It’s called insomnia darlin. I’d love nothing more to sleep in peace for just one night. Problem is my mind is always awake.” He shrugged and took a sip of some water he had gotten himself “plus I hate Thebes bitter taste. I much rather prefer hot chocolate or something. But thank you for the offer.”

@Spider-man

"Do you want a different drink? Think we have some hot chocolate." He leaned on the counter slightly. He ate some of the pancakes. he pulled out his phone for a moment checking the time before looking back up. "Oh, I should have asked before. How are you feeling? I should probably replace some of your bandages after breakfast."

@Festive_Fenrir

He shook his head, not wanting to be more of a problem than he already was. “Don’t worry, I’m content with water.” Brink swing his legs like a child as he sat on the counter before looking up at Finn. “I’m alright, can’t really move much but I’m okay.” He nodded slightly and took another sip of the water. He hopped down from the counter and stretched a bit.

@Spider-man

(sorry my wifi like died for two days)
Finn smiled and handed him a glass of water and sat back down. "If you want some more painkillers they are in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom." He looked slightly up at Brink now. the other man only being taller than him when Finn was sitting down. "So do you have anything you need to do today? I can help you out."

@Festive_Fenrir

(It’s alright!)
Brink shook his head and waved a dismissive hand “I’ll be alright without them, thank you though.”
He grinned when Finn mentioned helping him out. “Trying to follow me around now? Dear, if you wanted to do that all you had to do was ask. To answer your question, yes, I do have a few things to do. You can come if you’d like, I wouldn’t mind the company, but you have to promise anything you see you’ll keep to yourself and not report it.”

@Spider-man

"Fine but you have to let me replace your bandages later," Finn said when Brink dismissed the painkillers. He thought for a moment. He wanted to know what Brink was up to and he also didn't want to just be stuck here all day. "I can promise that I won't report anything but what kind of stuff are you talking about?" He bit the inside of his cheek slightly. He didn't comment on the fact that he didn't really have anyone to report to. He guessed he had the cops but they weren't always thrilled when he started investigating things. Brink didn't need to know that yet though.

@Festive_Fenrir

He smiled widely, eyes bright “well, that’s for you to find out, love. I would hate to spoil to surprise.” He laughed softly, something truly joyful and childish instead of his usual dry sarcastic laugh. “Don’t worry, dear hero, I won’t make you kill or steal or anything like that. Take today as a break.” He said with a shrug

@Spider-man

Finn nodded. "Okay then guess this could be fun," Finn leaned on the counter slightly. He finished his pancakes and coffee. He stood up stretching. Placing the dishes in the sink and walking to the bathroom. "I can replace your bandages in the bathroom." He glanced over his shoulder at Brink.

@Festive_Fenrir

“You really want to change them, don’t you? Any particular reason why?” He drawled with a tilt of his head as he followed Finn. To be honest, his side had started to hurt again once he had started to move around again so he didn’t really have any argument to check it once again

@Spider-man

Finn's face heated up slightly but he fought back a slight laugh when he looked straight. "So they don't get infected and you heal properly." He opened the bathroom door and god the first aid kit out of the cabinet. He placed it open on the counter and gestured for Brink to sit. "Be honest what hurts?"

@Festive_Fenrir

Brink smirked and followed Finn to the bathroom. He sat down and gingerly lifted the shirt, revealing the bandages and bruising that covered most of his torso. “Honestly? Everything, though it’s mostly in my side. I don’t think sleeping on it helped either.” He watched a small Finn got out the first aid kit and took a deep breath, trying calm his nerves

@Spider-man

Finn nodded and knelt on the floor. He slowly took off the bandage. "Ok, I'll put some more cream on it. That might help a bit." He grabbed the antibiotic and painkilling cream. "Are you sure you are up for doing stuff today?" He really wanted to see what Brink wanted to do but he also didn't want the other man to strain himself.

@Festive_Fenrir

He nodded in reassurance and glanced down as Finn “yeah, I’ll be alright. We’re not doing anything too crazy today.” He said with a small smile, finally relaxing once he got used to Finn’s touch. “You do this often? Patch up people you find on the street?”

@Spider-man

Finn looked at Brink smiling at his smile. Happy that he is relaxing. "Oh good a hint about what we are going to do." He finished up bandaging and stood up. "Lately just myself but I used to help Willow out a lot," he admits. "I'd like to say I'm a bit skilled at this point thanks to our combined clumsiness and bad luck." He remembered the days Willow would get into fights at school or Finn would lecture her as he bandaged her up but then he would secretly go out at night and basically do the same thing.

@Festive_Fenrir

She laughed softly and nodded, pressing a hand to his side to see if it still hurt when he touched it. “Your sister mentioned you were clumsy.” He noted “and with what you do at night, I can only assume you’re get more injuries than most.” He added, leaning back against the seat and shutting his eyes for a moment

@Spider-man

Finn''s face heated up slightly and he nodded. "Yeah, I guess I do." He stood up and put away all of the supplies. He left some bandages out to put in his bag. Just in case. He saw Brink leaning back. "are you sure you are ok?" He asked the hundredth time. Not wanting to coddle him but also not wanting brink to over exhaust himself.

@Festive_Fenrir

Brink opened his eyes and gave Finn a small smile. “Depends on what your definition of okay is.” He drawled, sitting up. “But yes, I’m alright, dear hero. If I do I most likely won’t let you know.” He teased with a playful wink. “Your concerns should not be me, they should be your family.”

@Spider-man

Finn nodded and smiled back. "Ok fine but you better not pass out or something while we are out," He said. Tilting his head when Brink brings up his family. "What do you mean? My family is fine." he sounded slightly more defensive than before. His hands slipping into his pockets.

@Festive_Fenrir

Brink flinched internally at the change in tone “I know, I’m just saying that your focus should be keeping them that way instead of,” he waved to himself “this.” He glanced away and pulled his shirt back down to cover his side. “You’re all such good people. You, Willow, Poppy. You don’t deserve any harm that could potentially come, including myself. The sooner I can go, the better for all of you.” He stood without looking at Finn and silently left the bathroom to go change into the clothes he had from yesterday. He had done what asked, not get attached. He had felt himself growing used to Finn’s presence, used to his calm voice and gentle touch. But like Willow said, if he didn’t want to hurt him, he’d try to make as little impact if Finn as possible

@Spider-man

Finn softened slightly at that. "You don't have to disappear. You are no more a danger to them than I already am," He said before Brink left. He waited for Brink in the kitchen. Going over their interaction in his head. He didn't want brink to just leave as soon as he was healed. Only seeing him when he's stopping one of his schemes. once Brink was ready Finn grabbed his bag and sweater. He packed some snacks and other essentials. Including his mask. Just incase.

@Festive_Fenrir

Brink took a moment to breath once in the room. He could never think of Finn as a danger to anyone, much less to his sister and friend. He smiled softly and glanced skyward. “What have you gotten yourself into now, hm?”
Once dressed, Brink stepped out of the bedroom and made his way to the living room. “Prepared, aren’t you?” He laughed softly and pressed a button on the elevator. “Shall we?” He gave a theatrical bow when the elevator doors opened and gestured for Finn to go first

@Spider-man

Finn smiled softly and nodded. "Hey, you never know." He walked into the elevator. waiting for brink to join before pressing the lobby bottom. "Especially when I don't even know where we are going." Once outside he waited for Brink to lead the way. He tried to think of all the different places he may bring him but he kept drawing a blank.
