What the heck is wrong with me…. thought Skye, unable to take his mind off the girl next to him.
What the heck is wrong with me…. thought Skye, unable to take his mind off the girl next to him.
She studied his face slowly, watching each emotion pass through it.
Skye was glad, once again, for his dark skin his gratefulness growing as he felt his cheeks heat up.
(Blushing does show, just not as well)
She smiled a little, noticing his cheeks looked a bit more red than they did before.
Skye forcefully kept his eyes on the ceiling as his thoughts raced a mile a minute.
His eyes were beautiful. And it didn't take much looking at them for her to get lost in the color.
Skye noticed she was studying him, and felt his cheeks get hotter in response. Whyyyyyyy meeeeee
She brushed her hair out of her face to see him more clearly, still lost in his eyes.
Skye forced his eyes away, looking up at the ceiling, studying the beams in the boarded ceiling.
She finally snapped out of her daze, forcing her eyes away. "Sorry. Didn't mean to stare." She mumbled, blushing bright red.
"It…It's ok…" He immediately kicked himself mentally, his voice had been higher pitched than normal. I never get nervous!
She picked at a couple of scars on her arms, one of her few nervous ticks as she felt her cheeks heat up further. He noticed! Oh God that's embarrassing.
Skye's hand began absentmindedly playing with a wisp of aura, trying to distract himself from the awkward silence.
She cleared her throat to cut the tension. "So, what brings you to town? Seeing as I've never seen you before."
"I needed a break" said Skye, "Life was getting rough, and I needed some time to recharge, do something I knew, and was familiar with."
"That sounds wonderful. I wish I could leave that easily."
"Eh…. I'm probably gonna pay for it later…." said Skye sheepishly. "I kinda didn't tell anyone I was leaving….."
"At least you have people who would care that you left." She muttered under her breath.
"Eh… most of them will understand… not that it won't bite me later…" said Skye, "But seriously, surely there's someone you can call a friend…"
"Ah, that's where you're wrong. I've got no one other than myself."
"There's got to be someone!" said Skye, turning to look at her, "Everyone's got someone…"
She shook her head slowly. "Not me."
"Well you can add me, and my 5 siblings to the list" said Skye
She chuckled softly. "You don't mean that."
